Silence helps nothing in my book, so no, I'm not doing it.

I was a serious devotee throughout high school, and unlike many of my fellow participants, was actually silent for the whole day. I am unable to actually BE silent this year, because of work, but I am still rooting for those of you who will be participating this year. Its sad, I wish my college would do this, but our GSA (or whatever name variant they have) had a wonderful bake sale not too long ago. Delicious cake was everywhere! whee but I digress.....

I hear about this every year on Gaia. And I still don't see the point. Seems rather...juvenile to me.

I participated in my last year of high school and it was great. People whine about how it "doesn't do anything to help," but in my experience, it promotes a lot of discussion, which I think is really important. That's what happened in all of my classes. And if nothing else, it brings people together.

I'm doing it! biggrin I don't care if others think it's idiotic or not.
(Though if I heard the dumbass in my science class say something homophobic, I might just have to speak...or kick him where it counts. -.- )

I am because I'm in my school's GSA and we're going all out for it. There was even some mention about possibly flying a rainbow flag. I'm making pretty bracelets for all the members out of little beaded stars. :3 Edit: I just finished making the first bracelet. It looks like this.

Mmmm.... naw. o:
It's too much of a hassle and I hate telling the whole world I'm gay by participating. I know straight people do it too, but you can just tell with me, you know? I used to do it but now it makes me feel uncomfortable haha

I'm so doing it! Been waiting for it for months, and the anti-bullying club at school help make posters for it for the GSA in my school. I'm very excited!!!
