Anyone know how to burn the sugar on a creme brulee without needing a mini blowtorch? I really want to attempt to make some, but I don't have a mini blowtorch.

I think it just has to be something very, very hot. I read somewhere that you can use the built-in grill of an electric oven or the oven's broiler. I am not sure if it would work as well as the blow-torch but I think with a little practise it could work. heart Good luck. mrgreen
