 FoalIn a family where sky-high dreamers and questionable sanity is the norm, Deanneth (or just Dean for short) is a bit of solid ground to stand on. To an outsider, a ‘normal’ Soq, he might seem to be a little distant or flighty, but to those in his family, he is a solid and down-to-earth presence. Even with his practical and sometimes critical nature, he has a delicate quality about him which reveals an inner sensitivity to the true natures of those around him. He wants to connect with those around him, both the crazies and the dreamers, and be a solid, supporting force for them. He is loyal, accommodating and capable of adapting to others; he really seeks to please those he cares about. This desire to help and nurture may, unfortunately, open him up to being used and stepped on by others. •••Plots Wanted•••
Family RP!: Family and friends means everything to this guy, so I’d love to play this foal with both his core and extended family. All of ‘em! So this is me sending a call out to Strait Jacket Girl, Chi Honda, Stormflower and anyone else who owns a member of this boyo’s family.
Meet the Parents: Once he finds a mate, he will bring her home to meet the family. I’d love to see the reactions to this on both sides.
Foal RP: Dean is currently still just a foal, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have fun! I’d love for him to meet all kinds of Soquili, young and old, happy and grumpy, you name it. Perhaps some of these encounters will be a basis for the future plots I have planned.
A Wide Circle of Friends: Dean here is a very supportive guy. He may not be an outgoing-friendly type of personality, but he is definitely good friend material. He loves helping friends in need or just hanging out. Does your Soq wanna go on an adventure? He’ll happily tag along. If your Soq needs a friend, drop me a line!

How do you make a sword?
You take a piece of earth, a rock, stone; the very symbol of immovability that resists any change, and you break it. You break it down and you burn it. You strip away all that is weak and unneeded and you take only the pure core of what is left, the metal. Then you take this metal and you put it into the crucible and you melt it down until it is malleable. You then form it into a sword-like shape, but it isn’t done yet. You take this rod of metal and you beat it and fold it and beat it and fold it and beat it and fold it… sometimes well over a thousand times you do this. Then you plunge it into chilly water. When all this is done, you have a sword; a deadly instrument of beauty that can be used for good or evil.
How do you take a sweet, submissive, supportive, happy young colt and make him into an elder?
You take him and you break him down. You strip away his weaknesses and his naïve views of the world, but you keep his core, everything that makes him who he is, everything that is pure and good about him. You take this raw, sensitive core, stripped bare of all that had once protected it and you throw it into the fire, into the metaphorical crucible. When he is soft and malleable, at the brink of losing himself, you save him from the fire. You then begin to form him into a crude version of his future self. He will continue to change and be formed by the hammer of his experiences, but a part of him, that core, will always be the same, only strengthened by not only his experiences, but by his own choices. In the end, he will be beautiful and deadly, as much a work of art as a weapon and completely devoted to good.
Dean is my first Soq and I'd like to undertake the quest to get him to being an Elder. I know the road will be long and it definitely won't be easy, but I think I'm up for the challenge...
Used and Abused: I’m looking for a Soq who is not really evil, but they aren’t super nice either. I’d like for someone to make “friends” with Dean and try to use him for their own selfish purposes. Maybe they don’t realize they are doing it, or maybe they know full well. Dean will all too happily comply at first, but eventually he’ll snap and take a stand for himself.
Break the Cutie: In an effort to really break down Dean and his belief in the goodness of others, I will be actively seeking out roleplay with bad Soquili. They can be anywhere on the sliding scale of villainy. If you have a bad guy Soq who doesn't fit in with the other plots I have here, but wants to beat up on someone, let me know and maybe we can work something out.
A Walk on the Dark Side: There are hints of darkness in his family, but I want him to meet a truly evil Soq. A skinwalker, a kalona, or a regular Soq who is just really, really evil. They must be manipulative and charismatic, a real charmer. I don't want this to end in death, so rather than the evil Soq being hungry for the kill, I would rather they delight in ruining others. Instead of wanting to outright kill their victims, he/she wants to blacken and destroy their souls. One possible way for this to go down is for him to become a captive or slave of the evil Soq. Dean will think he can redeem this Soq, but fail miserably and instead become their pawn and plaything for a time. Eventually, Dean will break free. Whether the evil Soq chooses to leave him be or bitterly pursue him can be discussed.
Note: If this evil Soq is a female, I might be persuaded to use one of his breeding slots with her. It would certainly be interesting to see how the children turn out. But please note: a breeding is not guaranteed and breeding is not the focus of this plot, the focus is to break Dean down.
Let Me In: This is under construction... I have ideas, but I'm trying to work within canon. Long story short, this is the darkest point in the story and the point at which Dean turns back and starts on his path.
Love is Patient, Love is Kind…: After all his brushes with death, temptations and terrible encounters, when poor Dean is at his absolute lowest, I would like for him to meet his Lifemate. Perhaps she is someone who has been his friend all along or maybe she is someone entirely new. She will have to be strong personality-wise, a mare who is confidant and vibrant, but has the patience and compassion to be able to pick poor Dean up off the ground. Goodness is a must. She doesn’t have to be a little Miss Goody-two-shoes, but she has to be able to show Dean that there is still goodness in the world. Dean will fall completely and irrevocably in love with her. In a way, she will have been his savior and he will wholly devote himself to her. In the same way that he is intuitively a great friend, he will be the best mate he can be.
Mate and Future Family Plots: If Dean's mate is in the midst of some epic plot of her own, and if it's okay with her owner, I would love to integrate him into it somehow. Regardless of this, after Dean and his mate have children, I would like to continue playing and plotting with them. I'm in it for the long haul.
