❃❂❁Chanda was super duper stoked about finally coming to Hogwarts and even after a long train ride and a long (but super cool!) boat ride, he was finally in the castle about to get sorted! He hadn't really had a chance to talk to most of the other first years, mainly due to his shyness and the fact that his eyes had been changing colors at almost every blink belying his anxiousness. "Is this where we're supposed to do the sorting." he whispered to himself

Houses here at Hogwarts are like... large families. We all work together to help one another do our best while we're here. You will also be competing with the other three houses for house points, earning them through good behavior, losing them through bad. At the end of the year, whichever house has the most points will win the House Cup." Hopefully, the older students and staff members would get settled quickly, so that they could begin. Jane and Joe had spent the train ride guessing what house they would be sorted in and trying to keep their frogs from hopping off. They followed Mr. Murdoch across the lake then Professor Harlowe up a flight of stairs. Jane wasted no time trying to befriend the person next to her. "I can’t believe our school is really a castle. It’s so much bigger than I imagined,” she whispered to a student next to her. Her frog escaped, hopping along the floor. ”Ah, Rek’sai no!” Jane exclaimed.

But the frog ignored her and hopped away for the great hall doors.
