An idea I've had brewing for a while. I want to see how well it might be received. And with the introduction of water dwelling usdia I think perhaps it might be the time to pursue this idea.

Rina has become disgruntled with the apparent scarcity of her kind. Finding a mate was more than difficult and then having him disappear with one of their daughters after their birth was even worse. She wants to build a group of her kind or others like her. For strength in numbers, protection and breeding. She believes strongly that mates and babies should be prevalent.

Something along the lines of the water is sacred, so is the sun. Beiefs about family. Beliefs about togetherness and "brotherhood" (perhaps that's not the right word).

I will flesh out my ideas but I want to know if there would be interest in this type of thing first. I won't waste my efforts on something that wont get off the ground.

A mer might potentially have a place if they were a nice one and not predatory.

That's open for discussion. Rina prefers fresh water. But could be swayed to a sea location I suppose. I wanted feedback before it was decided.

I want to be part of this herd because?: Well, her son and his mate, neither of whom she knows, are in it... And she'd like to get to know them. Also, her friend Rina is here, and she supports herd life strongly. Communities are awesome <3

Role/Rank Idea: Storyteller, Entertainer, Musician, Treasure Finder... She's a traveling bard that has a thing for shiny stuff, so anything would work as long as she could come and go as she pleased.
I want to be part of this herd because?: Her mother is joining. And her brother is here. Pretty much family reasons, but she's also interested in being affiliated with this herd because they seem like a nice bunch.
And ideas? (optional): Mm... Illy would be happy to do performances or tell stories for children of all ages. <3

Yeah! I'm glad that you find this at least interesting.

Location is something I've wondered about from the beginning. A herd technically has to have a totem. Erecting one above ground might just be far easier then having one under. But the more i think about it, an underwater totem and herd is a very interesting idea.

Rina has always preferred fresh water. But I think she could be persuaded into a beach or sea location if there was more room for everyone. *ponders*
