Anyone else read it?
I started reading it years ago but it got expensive buying the collected volumes. Only I recently found
this website which has it all up (I'm not sure on the legality of it but uh...).
So I just finished it.
And wow. It's really one of the best things I've read - in any medium. I mean, it's got 75 issues so there are definitely ups and downs, and I admit I skipped some parts of it because they were tedious. But overall, it's just fantastic. It's absolutely packed with literary and mythological references (to be honest, that's all it really is...) but put together in a beautifully clever, well-constructed and original way with deep characterisation and, in my opinion, some really lovely dialogue.
Highly recommended if you like graphic novels. Or just stories about gods and myths and mystical stuff like that.
