Not sure if this is anyones cup of tea here?

Its from Rockstar and lately their games have drawn off a great many references. Their stories have now been more involved and keep a player interested. Since GTA IV to me they've made a big jump in presentation.

Red Dead was really impressive to me because it takes a lot of research to make something based in a totally different culture/time period. So you have to draw on tons of different books/movies anything you can get your hands on.

LA Noire is almost like a interactive movie/tv series. (some say that about most games but this is maybe one of the best examples)
The animation, voice acting, music, themes and back stories are all dead on to me. Also the gameplay is unique... since you're a detective you'll run into people and have to read them a lot of times for information.

So you'll have to check mannerisms.. if theres maybe an inconsistency with their disposition after an answer they maybe lying or are hiding other information that would be helpful. (whew this is a terrible summary by me)

Anyway has anyone checked this game out yet or Red Dead?

I haven't played LA Noire, but my boyfriend and some of my friends have. My boyfriend found it really boring because it's "all about driving back and forth to find clues and solve mysteries and that's all you do", but some of my other friends are completely obsessed with it and play it for hours on end, haha. I guess, as always, not everyone will like the same things.

Red Dead is something I have though, and I reaally like it! I still haven't completed the story mode yet. I read spoilers by accident, and so I don't feel any desire to finish it...but I enjoy multiplayer a lot! Though most people I play with just want to do co-op things instead of posse vs posse. I think Red Dead was a big step for Rockstar, they did a good job on it!

Well its not a button masher if that what he was looking for. Which its even advertised as being a more cerebral game.
Though if you drive more often you also get into a lot of fire fights. There are a lot in the main story though and you can intercept dispatches messages and head out of the territory you're in etc etc

Yeah Rockstar is doing more and more research for stories now. (nice cast of actors as well)
Plus the gameplay was intuitive and dynamic. I've never played the online multiplayer yet hmm I'd of liked a posse myself.

I own the game but my brother stole it from me.
Kekeke...
He LOVES IT.
I like mystery games like this but he spoiled the ending for me.
The only thing is, follow a walkthrough if you want to get everything right.
