Are you an avid reader, inspiring writer? Just like reading others' work? This sub forum will hopefully provide you with what you're looking for. You are encouraged to post your stories if you so desire or books that you're currently reading and want to share with others.

Here are a few rules and suggestions you may want to follow. For one, please be polite to everyone, no matter what you may think about a piece of literature or written work by another user. Use constructive criticism and try to help the user improve their writing skills.

Try to give detailed feedback when a user posts a story they want critiques on. For some people, writing is their dream and they need these comments to help guide them in the right direction; likewise, if they're an inspiring writer and it's quite clear they have a soaring challenge, don't be afraid to be tough. Users, expect fair but sometimes sensitive critiques. It can't always be cake and cookies. At the same time, be respectful and don't harp on only the negative. If they wrote an awesome story, poem, what have you, tell them so!

Controversy is fine with books, and you may have mini debates obviously because there's going to be disagreements about what an outstanding or slipshod piece of literature is, and there are bound to be books in the spotlight. However, be reasonable and listen to others opinions. Don't just outright say "You read some *expletive* piece of crap" because that's just plain rude, and such rudeness will probably end up in a post deletion because we still want a friendly environment.

AH! SO let's get more light hearted here. Most topics won't be debates. That being said, you may also post topics about your favorite authors. If you want to create a topic about what the proper grammar is for this or that, you may do that too. Writing styles you like best, the school system and books/writing, the international system and how it's relevant. You think it, you name it. It just has to pertain to books and writing.

Feel free to liven this sub forum up, as well! Take a look at people's work and throw yourself in the batter. Be an active participant if you can. This can be a great place to regularly visit. heart
