Welcome to MY GEO is YOUR GEO. The rules in this sub forum are about as easy to follow as pie. This forum is for writing about where you live and any interesting tidbits about your surrounding area. It can be about exploring regions of the world and discussing anything you find interesting. CULTURE discussion is allowed. World geography, human geography, just plain elements of geography. If you want to post a cool picture of some volcanic eruption, for instance, you may do so. Don't perceive this as some boring sub forum because it certainly doesn't have to be, there's a lot you can do with it. Perhaps you'd like to poll people about their regional preferences, eg. West Coast vs. East Coast has been used, or vacation spots you've visited and would recommend others consider. Share your stories, talk about your favorite places, discuss your world views. Anything related to Geography is allowed here, and since the globe is a vast place, let's see a vast amount of inspiration and information being spread here in this sub =P
Be respectful towards people's beliefs and don't bash their cultures.
Don't make some incredibly rude remark about where someone lives unless they're ranting about it or you have personally experienced that type of climate firsthand, such as having lived in that city or state. Even then, tone your opinion down as it may offend users who are reading. There's no need to say that all people who live in Utah are red necks and whores, even if you personally believe that's so. That's at the least mildly offensive and a generalization. Keep that type of generalization out of this sub.
Of course, don't flame or harass users for any other reason.
We'll accept lolz images, but make sure they're related to geography and don't post them excessively as we do want to promote more textual based discussion.
