Don't you think they should think of something else instead of ruining classics?

This is a very bad idea. Why is there a need to remake them anyway? Are they running out of ideas? Leave the classics alone!

No one can replace Patrick Swayze and the rest of the crew. This remake of Dirty Dancing will no doubt be rubbish. I won't be watching it. Poor Patrick Swayze must be sad in his grave.

Fright Night is also being remade. I watched the trailer and died (not really, of course). So many things were wrong with the remake. Poor casting, Ed not looking evil enough, etc, etc.

What are your thoughts on old classics being remade?

I think our film industry in the US has taken a sad turn where they are more concerned with making the most money instead of creating a work of art. I, like you, will not see any remakes of other movies. I want to see something original come out, not more movies based on another person's creation.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was absolutely horrendous. I don't know where to even start on what went bad with that movie due to all of it being bad. The Oompa Loompa song made me cringe as well. The classic Oompa Loompa song will always remain in my heart.

I think I was just glad to get out of the cinema once that movie ended. It was extremely boring. I felt as though I wasted my money. emotion_facepalm

Poor Johnny Depp. What did they do to you!? He looked creepy.

I'm sad that you have told me about Drop Dead Fred. I never knew about this and now I feel like going on a rant again. Here goes! No one can play Drop Dead Fred as well as Rik Mayall did. He was brilliant. Also, he is really funny. I especially like the pirate scene from that movie ''PIRATES!!'' that part gets me all the time.

Russel Brand as Drop Dead Fred is something I would never have imagined.
Anyway, it doesn't matter. Good luck to him, but I won't be watching it.

What next Labyrinth? Please no! I think I would be devastated if they made a remake of Labyrinth.

I tend to watch the remakes.
Only to see if they're any good.

Most of the time, they aren't.

I actually don't think that I could possibly sit through the Fright Night remake without cringing and attempting to compare the original with the remake version.

this is good or bad. theres two types of remakes.

1) the people are bringing back the movie either as like computer work so it looks nice and new again or havae people do the excate same thing as teh orginal movie. this is to keep old movies alive and show them to the youinger generation. because old movies are starting to break.

2) the other kind is when tehy take an old movie and change it like choclate factory. it annoys me when they make it lame and s**t. i hated that movie cuz it was weird and stuff.
