+Positive personality traits: virtues:
-Gentle: It is very rare that Simon displays any sort of aggression, and more often than not will try to mediate a conflict rather than engaging it. In addition to being physically gentle, he is extremely careful with his words, and when he speaks, which isn’t all that often, he is softly spoken and tactful.

-Compassionate: Simon is deeply troubled by how much suffering other Pae’il go through on a daily basis, and most of his life is dedicated to trying to alleviate that suffering. He finds it easy to empathize with others, and is very warm, even toward individuals he barely knows.

-Eager to Learn: Simon is almost constantly on the lookout for new information, important or otherwise, and as a result is a walking repository of often useless knowledge. He is extremely receptive to new ideas, and picks things up fairly quickly. In spite of his gullibility, he is very careful to fact check his information before spreading it.

+Negative personality traits: flaws
-Overbearing: Simon’s desire to help and learn can result in him overwhelming people with his presence. The fact that he almost always means well does little to mitigate the irritation he may cause after twenty minutes of lingering where he is unwanted. He has a hard time realizing when he’s not wanted or needed in a situation, and often has to be bluntly told as much before he’ll take the hint and go away.

-Gullible: Simon often has a difficult time remembering that others may not be as well intentioned as he is, and if someone asks for his help he will generally give it, provided no one else is hurt in the process. While he’s unlikely to be used to cause others injury, it is likely that he will spend a great deal of his own time and money helping Pae who are less than interested in his well being.

-Self-righteous: Simon is completely certain of his own, and the Order’s, moral correctness and superiority. That isn’t to say that other views aren’t all well and good. They’re just wrong. Or so Simon is sure. Though he won’t overtly say this to people, it’s more often than not apparent in the way that he speaks, and it frequently irritates people

+Character's Fears: He’s afraid of heights, there won’t be too much flying for him without quite a bit of nudging. He also has an intense dislike for spiders, gerbils, and crustaceans.
+Character's Goals: To improve the lives of as many people as he possibly can through his work. Ultimately he wants to become a luminary to help guide people toward compassionate actions while running his own apothecary. He’d also like to teach others a bit of herbalism if he gets the chance.

Desired Power: Redeemer's Song: Simon can summon a magical lute, the music of which heals the minor to moderate injuries of anyone who hears it. The effect increases as one draws closer to the source.
Weakness: Simon cannot do much beyond stabilize someone who is critically injured, they will need to seek more powerful healing after he treats them.

Brief Background: Simon never knew his parents, and grew up in an orphanage in Telrunya City. For as long as he can remember he has looked forward to being granted a power and joining the ranks of the Order, who he has always looked to as the great paragons of goodness and compassion.
RP Plan: I’d like to toy with the idea of him dealing with disillusionment with the Order and the Guardians and see if his idealistic nature can be salvaged in the face of it. I’d also like to see him exposed to multiple viewpoints and seeing if his fixation on gathering information can translate into shifting his own views.

Pae'il: Random Rose & Cream Adult Male Naiad

List and describe at least two of each:
+Positive personality traits:
Playful: having grown up away from others, he did not learn about inhibitions, causing him to have a very playful demeanor. This is mostly a good thing.
Resourceful: Growing up on his own in the wild he has learned to be resourceful for the purposes of survival. He is creative and can make a weapon out of anything.
Brave: He has great strength and resolve and does not fear many things and is not afraid to risk his life.
+Negative personality traits:
Wild: His actions are sporadic, and often unpredictable. So it will be difficult for others to tell how he might take something. He might be disruptive at times or rude and can also get aggressive if he feels uncomfortable.
Naive: Lys does not know much about the world or society, it will be frustrating for others to deal with at first because he will not understand most things.
+Character's Fears:
He is afraid of being caged, trapped, unable to be free
He is also afraid of being alone forever (not necessarily in a romantic way)
+Character's Goals:
To learn about Naiad culture and society
To make some sort of connection

Desired Power or Ability: I'm not really certain, but maybe some sort of defense mechanism for when he's startled?
+ Power or Ability's Weakness: Above

Brief Background: Lys lived a fairly uneventful young life, under the sea, and by sea I mean "the wilds". It is likely that his pearl somehow fell off of the island before it fell, and this is why he grew up in the ocean, rather then the lake. Growing up in the wild and away from most Naiad society he is a bit more primal and wild in his attitude and lifestyle. However, because he grew up in the wild he is an extraordinary hunter and fighter because he has had encounters with creatures that most pae have never seen. When the cruise boat came floating toward his home, Lys witnessed a few of the rescues and followed the strange objects carrying the strange looking creatures home. So it had been very recent that he has stumbled upon the shores of Telrunya. Having grown up away from the island, he has a lot to learn about fitting into Naiad society, but he does have a longing to connect with these creatures that are like him.
RP Plan: First, I plan to have him be a cup "donor" for a guardian loyalist. Depending on how that loyalist interacts with him, his opinion on these pae'il could be dramatically adjusted. After this initial plot, I would like to have him interact with several pae that will also teach him and mold him. Think of a Tarzan-type story. There should be some occasional violent outbursts as he struggles to conform. He will also make his way towards the lake where he will discover that there are other creatures that look like him and he will attempt to connect with them in some way.

PS: I plan to use my hair edit coupon on him to give him a more wild or native looking hairstyle.


As we discussed, until we get the PSD file from Mel, we are unable to do his hair edit.

Barring that, Approved! Congrats Wolf! You have a great start and we're eager to see where you take him.

+Positive personality traits: (virtues)

BraveThere is no adventure that scares him, no task that daunts him. Someone could dare him and he'd pull the Queen's hair without a second thought or play chicken with a shark for laughs.

Kind He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, always willing to drop anything to help another out.

+Negative personality traits: (flaws)

Life is a game: He does brave things because he doesn't treat life seriously. Give him a task and he'll treat it like a spy movie seriousness but doesn't even vaguely consider the consequences. Everything is for fun.

Self-preservation? He has no sense of self preservation, due to life being just a game. He'd be the first one to swim up to a dangerous area and go in just because no one else will.

Scrappy Pretty hot blooded, offer him a fight and he'll go in guns (to use the phrase) a blazing no matter the odds.

+Character's Fears: He fears being ignored or forgotten and consequences to his actions affecting others. He can be reckless so sometimes doesn't realize how his actions might affect others. ~dia

+Character's Goals: To be a super spy! He dreams of being valuable to the Queen and being the one to discover something that will forever benefit his people.

Desired Power or Ability: Silence of the Water

+ Power or Ability's Weakness: While in the water he makes no sounds at all. That includes everything from swimming to talking.

Brief Background: Chromis was born among a school of other baby Naiads never knowing his parents. As a young hatchling, his silent nature meant he was often over looked by even the most well meaning of caretakers. It was due to this that he started doing more and more outrageous activities just to be noticed. He learned to push himself first in a crowd if he wanted to eat or get attention. As he grew he began to search out bigger ways to be noticed as it seemed he had a distressing knack of being ignored or forgotten.

RP Plan: Since I don't have a naiad, my plan is to get as involved with the current naiad meta plots as possible. I intend for Chromis to become part of the scouts and have him work his way up the ranks.

I hope this wall of text is not too much, I have made changes to the application and hope it fits more appropriately now :3

Name: Xenia 
Pae'il: Blue and Blonde Adult Female  

List and describe at least two of each:  
+Positive personality traits: 
Soft-spoken and Caring nature: Raised in a chapel, Xenia is always willing to help those in need, despite her magic being against her very nature. Her namesake was a testament to that and she upholds it with great pride since her grandmother (with her mother's help) gave her the name. She can always be seen chatting with elderly Pae'il, caring for the sick and wounded, and generally being as helpful as she can. 

Carefree and happy-go-lucky nature: Xenia has always had a positive outlook in life, despite her mother leaving her to fend for herself since she was young. Her grandmother's upbringing has taught her to look at things positively, Death is not the end of the world, it is the beginning. Everyone, despite their personalities, have always good in them. Her magic should prevent her from being so carefree but she always took it in stride, knowing that one days she can master her magic and not be feared.  

+Negative personality traits: 

Naive and gullible: Xenia is naive to a fault. Tell her something and she would believe you 90% of the time. The other 10% scrambles to get her to see reason. Lead her astray and she will not find anything wrong with it. Weave a lie so utterly ridiculous and she would still believe it is truth. However, if you tell her that you lied to her, she'd probably try to make your life miserable until you apologise. 

Overbearing: Let's face it, Xenia is a mother-hen – always trying to make sure everything is alright and starts shadowing others should they not follow her “explicit” instructions about caring for themselves. And she does not take “no”; for an answer. She also believe that she is mostly right. 

+Character's Fears: 
==> To not be accepted by her peers. 
==>To be taken advantage of. 

+Character's Goals: 
==> To master her dark magic and not cause harm to others. 
==> To learn to be more faithful and learn that everything is not just black and white. 

Desired Power or Ability: 
Shadow Flame: If Xenia concentrates hard enough and at a close enough distance, she can use anyone's shadow to burn the Pae physically, causing minor burns.

+ Power or Ability's Weakness: If Xenia concentrates too hard and with enough daylight, she can start burning herself as well. This will also cause the shadows to become weaker and cause less burns. 

Brief Background:  Xenia was born and raised by her grandmother after her mother left her at a very young age. She remember naught of her mother besides her voice, and an old lullaby that was sung to her every night. She was always surrounded by the stain glass windows of an old chapel where her grandmother lives and often plays hide and seek under the long chairs, or pretend she is giving a speech on the pew. She would sometimes dress up in the old pastor's clothing, dragging heavy drapes across dust covered floors in an attempt to mimic the profession.

RP Plan: I would just like to see her interacting with everyone and getting to know her eventual personality. I would also like to develop her powers more efficiently. Her caring nature is more to do with if people are already injured and healed, she will try to get them to rest and drink plenty of fluids and eat properly etc (if that is applicable)

+Positive personality traits:
Bold- Whether it was born out of an upbringing without consequences or is innately part of her character, Aella is fearless. She goes headfirst into new experiences, including those that might involve danger. When confronted with an opportunity, she doesn't hesitate.
Decisive- When faced with a choice, indecision is the enemy. Aella will make her decision emphatically and throw all of her efforts behind it. However, this does not mean that she will not change her mind when the decision is made. But when she does change her mind, the old choice is completely ignored and all her energy is put to the new path.
Independent- This trait is a bit paradoxical, as it was born out of trust issues and circumstances beyond her control and is bolstered by arrogance. However, Aella is now fiercely independent and focused on getting a better life for herself without the help of others. While the going is slow (see negative traits) she is determined to keep at it.
+Negative personality traits:
Selfish- Being raised spoiled as she was, Aella thinks about herself first....and herself only. While she would never act against someone for the express purpose of hurting them, she would hurt someone to further her own goals. The selfishness is so complete that she most of the time she doesn't even realize why other people would have a problem with it.
Weak- Unlike the other harpies, Aella doesn't have much in the way of good surviving skills. At this point in her development, she's bumbling along, screwing up more than succeeding. She's not as strong or as fast a flyer as other harpies. She is very aware of how useless she is as a harpy and is deeply bothered by it. But it only ties into her selfishness, convincing her that with such little strength she has to use walk over others to get by in life.
Distrusting- When Aella was abandoned by her mother, it broke the harpy's heart. The demi-goddess was her singular source of love and the loss destroyed her capacity for trust. She sees everyone around her as someone that could abandon her.

+Character's Fears: Being abandoned again, Sparrow hating her, discovering she really is just useless as a harpy, finding out her mother's dead
+Character's Goals: Finding her mother, discovering what she is

Desired Power or Ability: N/A (normal harpy abilities)

Brief Background: Aella was hatched during a tumultuous Valentines Day event. Her early years were paradise. She was spoiled by her mother, the demi-goddess lust, who carried her well into her childhood. Being the daughter of the goddess of rabbits, Aella grew a fondness for the creatures herself and often envied her mother's abilities to communicate with them. She also had a close friend, another harpy named Sparrow. However, when her mother decided to begin a quest to discover just what Aella was she left Sparrow to go off on the quest, promising to return. But it ended before it even began, when Lust was arrested for crimes against the fauns. Aella waited in the nearby woods for her mother to return. When she was at the point of nearly starving, Aella finally decided her mother wouldn't be coming back. So for the first time in her life, Aella was on her own. Due to the severe emotional trauma, Aella's personality took a dark turn. Feeling abandoned and assuming Sparrow would one day abandon her too even if she did return, Aella headed off into the nearby Ithyl Forest to make a life for herself.
RP Plan: The classic character redemption story. I'd like to RP Aella slowly becoming stronger and more adept at survival. The goal would also be for her to become less selfish and capable of trusting someone again, specifically Sparrow. I've also spoken to Daisuke about RPing with some other harpies to help the progress along. We have also talked about an emotionally charged reunion between Aella and Sparrow, after Aella has already begun making a bit of progress. I would like to see her reunited with her mother, but that is up in the air at the moment.

+Negative personality traits: (Easily distracted, covets treasure)
+Character's Fears: Spiders, snakes, harpies
+Character's Goals: Collect as much treasure as she can, find a place to call home

Desired Power or Ability: Shadow fire sword, Amaya summons a blade of shadow fire to her hand, that can burn her opponent.
+ Power or Ability's Weakness: Light and Water, light cause her fire to burn her with a strong enough attack, and water attacks counter the burning effect of the sword. To many of any attack and the sword disappears all together.

Brief Background: (describe where this Pae'il came from, how they got to where they are today) Amaya was born unto demon parents, in the To'ul mountains, they stayed with her still she was only enough to take care of herself, then they left her to fend for herself. Now she seeks out treasure on her own journeying for place to place, seeking something to fill the whole in her heart.
RP Plan: (describe the plot you plan to RP for this Pae) Looking for various plots and hopefully finding a romantic plot at some point.

Reliable – Tries to be as helpful as possible to others and keep his promises.
Amiable – Pae tend to like him from the very start with his friendly personality and willingness to help.
+Negative personality traits: (flaws)
Gullible – Can be a bit gullible at times because he tends to trust everyone until he sees otherwise.
Indecisive – Can sometimes annoy others because he tends to be more of a follower than a leader.
+Character's Fears: Fire, mud pits, being unable to get back into the water
+Character's Goals: Learn to take charge in more situations. Perhaps become some sort of leader to his friends, family, and acquaintances.

Desired Power or Ability: Natural Cloaking – He can change his scales in order to became visually undetectable. He will seem invisible to pursuers and bystanders.
+ Power or Ability's Weakness: He has to move slowly, or he runs the risk of some one seeing the slightly movement. He is still detectable by sound, smell or touch.

Brief Background: From a young age although he has been friendly towards others he also hasn’t made many decisions himself because he wants others to be happy even if that means he didn’t get to do what he wanted. Being an only child he didn’t want to be a troublesome child to his parents even though they very much loved him and wanted him to be happy.
RP Plan: General rp, don’t really have an idea for any overarching rp plots.
