Gaia is starting to annoy me a lot.
I usually always came in the CB, but all the 'kay', 'lol', 'trolling', 'cool story bro', and captain obvious' annoyed me. So I moved to the supernatural forum in entertainment discussion. Since I like that kind of stuff. But the attitude in there. O M G. It's horrible. You can't have a nice convo or discussion in there without someone forcing you to change the title because you're not making a point, or something. - it didn't happen to me.
Then the pets! forum. Somehow, it doesn't really get to me. It's not that active, a lot of ignorant people as well. And those people who think they know it all, while they are actually pretty dumb.
But then I have nothing to do anymore on the internet. Facebook isn't everything. Which starts to annoy me as well. Because of people who just can't leave me alone.
I have msn, but msn is boring as well. And people only complain, and the conversation pretty much dies after 'hi, how're doing'.

You too, eh?
I lurk the AC, SNF, Books, and Pets!, myself. Artist's Corner used to be where I lurked the most, but ever since I've hit my bloody artistic cadence, I've kinda stopped. SNF... Well, I know a lot of good people over there, though some of them do push a little too hard, but we have the same thing in Pets!. Books, well. I don't give a flying ******** about HoN and Vampire Academy or City of ____ or what the hell ever is being aimed at teens and young adults anymore. I want a good Song of Ice and Fire topic since I just started that one.
Does the drama in Pets! ever bother you? :/ You've probably seen it, where threads get derailed because some user decided to rail against some other user over something as simple as misconstrued or unclear meaning, and/or bring in past issues unrelated to that topic. Or do you just avoid it? I personally feel like it's driving me away. Kind of like how domestic issues/drama at home drove me to go live two states away. At the same time, I feel like I shouldn't let it. OTL. Being a social shut-in can kinda suck. >>;;

This is exactly why I only hang out in Guilds, and only a few of them, with members I know, or have gotten to know through other guilds. Less drama with people you know (be it personally, or through the site).
And I really stay away from the Pets! crap. Makes me want to come through the computer and kill them all scream
If you'd like, you could join Multiple Tank Syndrome, if its something you're interested in smile (the banner in my sig is clickable).

I agree. :c I wish we could hit them through the computer. 'Eizoryu" Quote: I tried books. But just like you said, all that teenage crap doesn't get to me. :c And I heard the art and exchange forums are just that bad. You know good people in SNF? I'm pretty sure I haven't seen those yet. What a bunch of egotrippers over there. I was actually thinking in starting a sort of 'official'-something in Pets! But then I realized why? There are only a bunch of ******** there anyway. It does bother me. And even though I have the urge to start ranting there as soon as drama happens. I wish I did it sometimes, but there are always a few idiots who think they are better and overreact on it. So I usually try to avoid it. I know I should probably don't care about this. But I do. :c

Yeah, I've stayed away from most forums. I usually go for the litterate guilds and those that have very interesting topics in them. Thanks, by the way, for the warning about the Books forum. I have no desire whatsoever to be part of a teen book forum, because the teen books these days are crap. However, Revolution was a good one. It takes place both in modern times, and has diary entries from the time of the French Revolution. It's educational, and realistic too!

*nodnod* Books is okay when you can find a decent topic, but those always get so drowned in HoN/Vampire romance bullshit, or full of ******** fantards who always say that they like a book and give no discussions, that there's really no point. AD gets swamped in request threads, and PP majoratively consists of not a lot of good. There are some good people over there in SNF who actually know what they're talking about, and when they're not in a runaround argument with Fluffy Bunnies and Doe-Eyed Believers, they're cool folks. Many hang out in the Skeptic's Thread, and I'm trying to figure out if naming names is okay. ^^; Several of them have even had their own experiences that they can't explain, and fully admit that they can't. As for Pets!... Well. I don't know what to think anymore. Lately my fear of others' judgment and my innate apprehension about conflict has been hitting me particularly hard. I'll get myself into an argument or conflict, then lose the nerve to come back and check it/defend myself/admit to mistakes. But that's a personal problem. I'm just tired of the fighting in there. At one point there was (what I consider) a huge fight between two knowledgeable herp keepers with differing methods and opinions, and personal life choices got involved in the sniping. That kind of thing is something I consider EXTREMELY rude to the OP and should be kept to PMs. I deal with enough drama at work. I don't want to see it among people I respect when I'm off the clock, damnit. Ah, for a perfect world... Don't worry, you're not the only one who cares. ><

Yea, since I first started on gaia, I have dropped drastically in the amount of places I go. At the moment, the only place I go on gaia is here. The pets and animals guild. I've never ventured into the pets forum, the ignorance I assume is there overwhelms me. In here, it's dilute, you get one thread in a blue moon and everyone is pretty intelligent in their answers, no "YOUR A HORRIBLE PERSON HOW DARE YOU POST TTHHIISSS!" So I can handle it. I'm just too scared of the concentrated ignorance in the pets forum. CB is pointless, GD, well, haven't been in like years. Really, I think it was loosing all my items and gold that made me give up on posting stuff or playing games. I come here, and once in a blue moon I check on my other guilds which are pretty much dead.

I don't believe in much of it except for what's in my religion.
