"Attributes affect everything in these battles. Having the right attribute can give you an instant win (with effort) or an instant loss."

"This is very truth, but this is not to say that you shouldn't give it your all... this simply means that you need to be prepared."

"Right... Now then..." The tamer runs to the side line and pulls a massive white board. "You came to learn and now we will TEACH!!"

Lesson 2: Determining Turns
Much to many's dislikes, this is very much a turn based, luck affected system but can be made fun with however much effort you place in it.

We start by each rolling 10 10sided dice. The one with the highest roll goes first, unless one person has this card: Lucky Star. If this card is present, then it goes it reverse.

Hiro glares up at the boy.

"Right then... now for the battle sweatdrop "

..... "DIGI-MODIFY: METAL ARMOR, ACTIVATE!!!"

Hiro's golden shell turns the color of steel and glisten's in the school thread's infinite sunlight. "Now that we've who goes first, we'll take turns knocking each other senseless till one of us reaches 0 health."

Lesson 3: The options for battle
When battling you have three options. Assuming that you read the walk through I'll briefly explain your options:
-Normal attack (0 MP cost; deals damage = to dice roll)
-Defend (restores MP = to dice roll)
-Special attack (30 MP cost; deals damage = to dice roll)
-HP Floppy (30Mp cost; restores health= to dice roll)

But of course... ROLLING STONE! The armadillo rolls into a silver ball and bulldozes the betamon.

Edit: WOAH!!! A PERFECT ROLL!!! No worries, that doesn't mean anything aside from the fact that I did the most damage that I could possibly do in a rookie match sweatdrop

A light bow materializes behind Betamon, ready to fire when he attacks.
"Now, let's even the odds here! Return fire!"
Betamon straightens his stance and nods fiercely, charging Hiro with a basic attack! "Beta Slugger!"
(behind him, the rapid arrows fire away!)

"Rrrrrrrr... Pyrosphere!" Betamon growls, unleashing a crimson ball of nuclear fire toward Hiro! The blast is so powerful that even Betamon is knocked backwards with the force of the recoil. Meanwhile, the rapid arrows continue to fire away!

"Speak for yourself, you're not the one getting pelted by arrows!" the armadillomon glares at Raji in anger.

"Yep, hence the reason I'm not envious of you." sweatdrop
"...." Armadillomon curls into a ball to keep from having to answer.

"And I'll take that as a sign of defense!"

Raji, on the other hand, has an ominous glow overcome him as if he has some hidden scheme. "No, no, no... you've merely led them to my trap!

Digimodify: Sacred Fruit, ACTIVATE!!!"

As if by magic a mysterious fruit appears before the digimon asking him in all its glistening shine to eat it. Naturally the digimon eats it and feels strength flowing into his body as he goes for another attack.

As he frantically looks through his remaining cards, he quickly realized that no matter what he did, Betamon was doomed...
"Uhhh... .okay... Digi-Modify: Blue Blaster..."

The attack hits Armadillomon while he is enjoying his banana. The impact causes him to drop the peel right in front of the approaching Betamon. "NOOOO!!! I'M LITTERING!!"

"Tis alright, for it was part of my plan." Raji's eyes sparkle as he plays his final card. "Was a nice battle and a close one indeed.

DIGIMODIFY: Banana Trap, ACTIVATE!!!"
