Awesome pics! I love reptiles though I'll never own one. I feel so bad for those guys in the tiny containers D:

The eyelash gecko pics have to be my favorite; the gecko is gorgeous itself and contrasted on that maroon flower thing looked great! Your camera is awesome.

Thank you! Its a Cannon PowerShot A3100 IS. Nothing too special LOL

The little cups and such are a bit of a pitiful sight, but on the bright side, the people that are going to these shows are the people that will give these animals the best life they could get 3nodding

they are only in the tiny containers for a day or 2. its just to show them off and make it easier for the seller to take their stock to the expo. if they were in large empty enclosures it would stress them out even more, at least in the small containers they can pressup to the sides easily and feel a little more secure while being checked out by buyers. it is still pretty stressful for the animals sadly but its the best way to get a new herp since you get to talk to the breeders and sometimes meet the parent animals. plus the prices are usually pretty good.

im trying so hard not to go to any expos this year, ive gotten so many animals this year already. plus i know the expo i go to wont have any croc skinks. speaking of which i found yet another store that sells them, but they are only wild caught and the people cant tell if they are male or female

I'd prefer to stick with smaller lizards (not that Rex is a exactly a "small" lizard, potentially reaching 18 or more inches, but his tubbiness makes up for it, I guess LOL). I want to delve into gecko's some day =3

If I had the room (and money to make a custom, long and wide tank), I'd totally go for a beardie. I really loved the orange ones at the show! heart heart heart

I <3 my beardie. I didn't do anything custom, just a 40 breeder I got on sale when petco does their $1 a gallon sale! I have a few different Herps...Don't tell my other scaly kids but the my beardie Vlad is my favorite. His temperament and personality make him the most fun and interactive by far. Baby beardies will eat you out of house and home but other than that I highly recommend them as pets smile

The Ball Python is just about exactly what I want some day! Beautiful! I actually have a tank FULL of mantises just that size, right now LOL. The laws must be very different in FL than here, I went to a show in NY and there were NO "hot" snakes. I don't think you can legally have them here in NJ or in NY. Some really nice shots in there, thanks for sharing.

Can I have one of everything? Wow, thank goodness I don't have a car. Mr. Frillz would have come home with me if I went >.<
