 |
 East from Yukigakure is the lake, always frozen with some parts of the ice thicker than others. During the summer, the ice is weak and very easy to break through, yet the water underneath is still dangerously cold.
Arc Details:
Beneath the frozen lake, deep in the depths of freezing water, a base has been constructed of frozen earth and air. The base is small, only the size of a four bedroom house, with a thick surrounding of earth protecting it from attack in the shape of a dome. Inside, a fire pit has been constructed with food containers nearby, indicating a determination to stay for several months. There are 4bunks and an second underground container, a reverse of the bubble with a coating of ice over it. Inside, two figures are noticeable. |

Sebastian continued to scan the area, but noticed they were not in kansas anymore. The colder area was offsetting but not in a major way. he had prepared properly, and had a bundle of cloths on. Additionally, his ability to move his organs about allowed him to increase blood flow, and thus increase his internal temperature to at least make him feel a little better.
Keeping his awarness about, Sebastian stood still for a moment, and crouched low, taking in the sights....

In the midst of following the trail, almost suddenly, Souji became extremely cold. They had reached a frozen lake and, rather foolishly, Souji realized that he was only garbed in a sleeveless hoodie with no real padding to keep his arms warm. The outline of the lake was just slightly different from the other green chakra of the environment, probably because the frozen warm emitted ambient chakra different from the hard earth. Or something. Coming to the lake, Sebastian stopped, and Souji followed. What was off-putting about the chakra of the lake was that the trail seemed to lead up to it, and stop. Undoubtedly the person Souji was tracking had interacted with the lake in such a way that Souji could not follow - after all, even with his Tracking Sight he couldn't see through solid objects. "The trail does something weird here," he said quietly and vaguely while glancing about with his Kinmukugan as well. He didn't want to take over all the Sensor duties persay, but if he had to, Souji guessed that he could exercise his additional Sensor ability to figure out where the person he was tracking went from here, and then pick up the trail again.

╰★ Kameko pouted as they arrived to a frozen lake. She hated the cold and everything about it. If it wasn't going to make such a ruckus, she'd sure light up the place with a lava glob or two. Though her shirt was long sleeve, it was open at the shoulders, which led her to be cold. As Souji stopped in front of her, Kameko bit her lip. "Great. Just great." she thought as she waited for something to happen.

╰★ Kameko waited patiently, beginning to notice Inka's breathing. Though she didn't acknowledge it, she kept it in mind. As Sebastian put his ear to the ice, Kameko wanted to say something, but held her tongue. Hearing heart beats was a little...weird, but in this case it was helpful. Smelling smoke, Kameko looked up to see a figure on the shore of the frozen lake. Her stomach churned in uneasiness as she heard him speak.
She looked toward Sebastian, wondering what he would do. She hoped that it was he, and not Inka, who made the first move.

The medical man sniffed, smelling the pheromones and change In chemistry in the air, and knew they were not alone. Slowly drawing a kunai, bathing it in one of his neuro toxins, Sebastian muttered to the group, trying to hide his voice as best he could.
"We are not alone. Im going to engage him, and draw the attention to me. You guys find a way to get our ANBU out. If you get into trouble...just scream. "
Just then, using his "predatory instincts" and and attuend senses to get a bearing on his location Sebastian stood in a blurr and chucked his kunai, coating it with some chakra so that it would fly 3x faster and with almsot 100% accuracy. He didnt need a solid hit, just a little scratch. then activating his Hardcore Thread style, Sebastian readied hismelf for a type of battle he hated: open combat. But he had to act as both an decoy, tank, and "agro man" to allow the others to get the ANBU clear.

While it didn't stop the kunai, it diverted it from its intended path slightly and allowed Borka to dodge, moving to the left and falling to the ground. The kunai whizzed away as a female stepped up to the fallen male, standing firmly with legs apart and arms crossed "Neublíži si, môj brat!" she snapped, the air around her swirling in the cold. She was clad in something one would expect to see in a warmer sea level but if the snowball had come from her....perhaps the cold didn't bother her._______]

╰★ Kameko grunted as another made an appearance. She bit her lip. Her body heated up immensely. Was she angry? No. She was just getting ready for anything that could happen. Better to have a reserve of lava ready just in case. Looking at Inka, Kameko silently worried about his health. She just wanted to light the place up. Her lava could easily melt through the ice, so maybe they'd tell her to do that, but she really wanted to scorch an enemy or two. She'd wait for a command from her superiors.

Before Souji could explain that the ice was interfering with the trail, Sebastian noted that he heard heartbeats underneath the ice. Undoubtedly, the trail he was following had somehow gone underwater, which was what Sebastian was now sensing. Thus, Souji did not reply. When Sebastian noted the other presence, Souji could barely keep up with what followed, but soon realized that the trail he was following was not the kidnappers, but rather the ANBU, as it wasn't until the smoke began to drift across that Souji noticed the enemy across the lake. "The ice interferes with the trail, but without the interference quickly locating and freeing the ANBU would be child's play," Souji explained flatly. If they spent too long looking, the coldness of the ice water would get to them, but with his tracking sight still activated - though it would not last much longer - they could easily minimize searching time. He wasn't sure what "even fight" was being referred to, but if they did choose to fight, Souji could probably hold his ground to give them a one person advantage. Still, he gave his feedback on the tracking and patiently waited for whatever instruction from the senior shinobi.

Sebastian bared his teeth at the fact that his kunai was deflected by a snow ball. Odds were, that this was not any ordinary snow ball. Still, it was an embarrassing thing to have happened. But after hearing the mands words, Sebastian could play it to his favor. (i dont know what rank the snow ball was, but the kunai was a C rank jutsu, meaning it defeated anything D rank and below. just as a clarification. ) Sebastian mumbled to Inka prior to replying to the warriors, trying to keep his voice as low as possible.
"I could take these guys down using my standard measures, but it you leave the others unprotected, and Sypher would frown on that. If your good with long range, take an opening, then pick your openings well and stay away from me. My style is rather...volatile...."
Drawing his sword Basilisk, Sebastian gave a curtious bow and replied to the man, though he had no intentions of fighting fair. He just needed his weapon in hand.
"You have yourselves a deal. No reason we cant be civil about this...."
Coursing chakra through his weapon, Sebastian was able to forgo the need for hand seals, and utilized his wind heart to perform the "Projectile Control Technqiue" to alter its course once again and attack the man from an unsuspecting angle. Using this moment of confusion, if it created any, the Jiongu would create a orb of air and begin to ride on it, greatly propelling him across the icey lake towards the enemies. While on his way, the ninja used his chakra through his weapon again to hid the hand seals, and spit a volatile concoction of acid towards the newly arrived women. His training in the technique eliminated any slowness to it, and could thus easily take them buy surprise.
