Well I'm bored of sitting around for midnight so thought I'd be fun for everyone to post their goals for the New Year...
For me personally... - Get my DL in jan((I had to freaking renew my permit! can you believe it? I'm so freaking lazy I've had it for 2 years and still haven't taken my driver's test to get my DL) - Get my Dog mobile errr I mean car...(hoping for a Toyota RAV 4) - acquire a job at one of the local doggy daycares(still haven't sent out an app, but I have connections and some friends might be able to get me a job at this one place a few streets over from me) - and lastly start back volunteering at the theraputic horse center
Now for stuff involving the doggies - Have our first agility trial in May - get abby's NAJ(AKC) and JS-N(ASCA) titles - possibly get Abby her RN title by the end of 2012 - get Abby's CGC and TDI titles and start some therapy work - Get Bo comfortable around other dogs - Work on Bo's obedience - get Bo his CGC by the end of the year if at all possible - lastly get my puppy by at least the end of the year!
ummm yeah think that may actually be it
Anywho HAPPY(almost) NEW YEAR!!!!

Great Idea, we can check back to this thread periodically throughout the year and then again at the end of the year.
Personal: Pay off all debt and start saving for my own place. Find the time to ski, aim for once a week, go at least 10 times in the season. (failed) Spend more time with my fur kids Continue to exercise at least 3 times a week. Hopefully join a gym, at the very least bounce from gym to gym with free trials. I'm happy with my weight but I want to see my abs again, lost them when I quit the pool and all the teams I was involved in there. (currently successful, need to keep this going for the rest of 2012 though)
Fur kids: Get rid of the rat lice! Give away the rest of my baby fish (damn fish keep making more babies) Keep Rascal's Creatinine levels in normal range (recheck is in 1-2 months) Manage Cowboy's arthritis (so far it's worse)
Cowboy: Work up to 5km runs and join the professional group at power paws. Do at least one full moon run this year. (failed) Get his next freestyle title, the new level just opened TODAY, it would be incredibly amazing if we were the first to get this new title. Qualify for USDDN and go to Worlds, I don't care if I place, I just want to qualify and go see this amazing event.
P.S don't worry about your DL, my permit expired before I got mine too. Got my permit right away at 16' only got my license at 18 and only got my car at 21

Personal: Get a job. Preferably one that I enjoy. Hopefully that lasts longer than a month. After job, get a car. After car, get a dog. Or bunny. Haven't decided yet.
Pets: Make progress with Xay and hope Mike continues being less aggressive. Snuggle the keets more. Love getting kisses from them. Hopefully manage to get Kitty to be less terrified of the world.

cєℓєsтιαℓ ғιʀєғℓιєs:
Personal: - Be a better person in general. - Lose another 30 lbs. - Update my wardrobe. Most things are now loose and unflattering. - Learn to drive/get my license. - Go through every box crowding the office/storage because...
Pets: - ... I wanna buy a new fish tank, but we have no room. - Get pictures of the new ratties. They're babies, dumbo, and awfully adorable. - Socialize Capricorn because she's pretty timid and shy. - Keep up exposure with Natalie so she doesn't become scared of new people. I think Malcolm is shy for that reason-- we have no friends so no regular visitors. emo

I'm super excited for this year! Just found out mister Bo might start doing some schutzhund work! But it won't happen until maybe really late this year or next year. We're really kicking up his obedience training and now all I need is to find some people willing to let me borrow their dogs to work on his dog issues... that and we should hopefully start working with a trainer(she's an obedience instructor and behaviorist over at a local facility) in a few months! YAY!
Gabby- lol yeah Imma be one of those people to. I got mine a few days after I turned 16 and man to be honest I was driving like 2 years before I got it(shhh dun tell anyone) though I was never unsupervised(my dad would make me drive to school in the a.m then he'd drive back home) and now all my friends already have theirs and I'm just like yup I'll get mine when I feel like it/have the time besides driving isn't all that awesome. I find it more of a chore now...
But I need/want to get it before May that way I can get some driving in(especially on the highway) before our tentatively planned trial cuz no way my parents are driving me an hour and a half to an agility trial *sigh*

I already posted in this on the Pets forum, but I have a few more goals to add, and this thread should be easier to find at the end of the year then the Pets one.
For me: Get a job, at a pet related place if possible Get my hours up so I can get my P plates (which is my license which will allow me to drive by myself) Make some new, better friends at my new school Not at school, but have still made new and better friends Save for my first car, and for the trip me and my best friend want to go on at the end of this year Mum and dad have decided to give me my dads car, so I no longer need to save, but do now have money to go on the trip!
My pets: Get Sparky to be comfortable driving Get Sparky to be comfortable around dogs Do back yard agility with Sparky Teach Deedee at least one new trick each month, keep her exercise up with plenty of off leash runs, and make sure you have fun with her, since she's getting on now Build my guinea pigs a new cageno longer have guinea pigs Train Sparky to be comfortable around people on walks (he sometimes gets over excited) Get both dogs crates

Well I've got a goal crossed off already! Instead of saying I will get a job at a doggy daycare should've been more just get a job.
So I got offered a coaching job with my soccer club! I get to coach either a U8 or U9 rec team and I bets it'll be fun! I mean I still plan to get a job at a doggy daycare, but for now this suits me just fine. I'll be coaching twice a week and games saturday. Just need to figure out days and times since I still have agility monday nights and there's a chance of conflict with that... but we'll see I'm just glad to have some kind of job. Also I get to babysit twice a week for upto a month or so after this lady has her 3rd baby. Her two current kids are a major handful and her dad normally flys down from poland to help out, but he can't this year because he had some kind of surgery and the kids dad has to work evening shifts so she needs someone to help out and she asked me. So looking forward to that to and also hoping I have no conflictions, but hey even if I do my sister and help her to.
I got my renewed permit in the mail yesterday so hopefully will be going to get my DL soon. Just need to make that appoinment
So far it looks like a good start to the new year! can't wait for what else it brings

@ Animelover: That's great news! Congrats on the job!
In my case, I might be able to get squirtle into a 75 gallon tank! Someone at work knows someone who has to get rid of a bunch of his pets and tanks for free and is going to find out if he's giving up a 75 gallon tank, so I might be getting a free 75 gallon tank! I'm so excited!

I'm already finding it interesting to go back and read my goals, crazy how quick I forget.
Congrats on the job!
I am sooo close to paying off my debt, haven't been this close in months. My visa is down to 74 dollars!!! In less than a week now, I get my next pay which iiss about $300 so visa will be paid off completely and I can pay off my school fees which just leaves my dad, who should be paid off the following week. I'm working Sat-Monday this semester. So my hours are a bit better than they were last semester but I still have more days off. So basically, hopefully, by next week I'll have two things off the list. (debt paid, more time with furkids). I'm still working Cowboy's endurance. We've been doing about 10mins of ski-joring with no limping or soreness. Sunday morning I'm bumping it to 20mins.
I've fallen behind on exercise because my gym trial membership ended but I'm doing well with everything else lol

I'm really excited for it. Hopefully we'll be hearing back soon and I actually get it. I just think it'll be plain epic if my friend is coaching again this year and our teams had to play each other. It would be a full out war between us, but mostly just laughs and stuff rofl
But I may have to think about possibly having to bring Abby to practices if we have practice monday nights because the young kids practice at 5:30 and it's about an hour and I wouldn't have time to drive home grab her and drive to agility. But I really don't have to worry about that until I find out when our team practices...
but anyway I'm so glad I finally have a paying job even if it's not all that much. I should also be applying to some other jobs during the day and shizz. So should hopefully be able to start affording the biggest bag of TOTW and put some extra money aside for later use etc.
Man I got my permit in the mail the last week and I already lost it.... It wasn't where I left it grrr...
