Okay so,I'm a couple a lot of pounds overweight. I am fourteen and I'm 5'2. I weigh around 235lbs.Now before you start jumping to conclusions,it isn't all jumbled up on my tummy. It is distributed well, so I don't look my weight. I am very healthy and the only thing is that I am severely overweight.I can keep up with other people, the only thing is that I can't find the time,or maybe it's due to my procrastination. My diet is okay I guess,I don't drink soda unless I'm at parties. I don't eat a lot of fruit but I do eat vegetables. Sometimes I can't find the motivation. I really do want to be healthier and be able to feel more confident in my own skin.

Soo girls, any tips? Ways that you get/stay motivation? Any diets you follow? Also I have a habit of eating when I am bored, which I know is really bad T^T

Here's how I eat:
1) No white anything. All whole wheat. (bread, crackers, pasta)
2) No fast food.
3) No fried chips. It all has to be baked.
4) Want junk food? Eat an apple or an orange or whatever your favorite fruit is.
5) No eating after 7:00 pm, and if you do it has to be fresh fruit.
6) If you must eat something unhealthy, eat it before 11:30 am. Your body burns about 1000 calories a day on it's own, so if you eat it early in the day, it'll likely be burned off by the time you go to bed.
7) Drink LOT'S of water! At least 8 glasses a day. Also, if you're eating at a resteraunt, get water instead of soda!
8 ) When offered a side dish at a restraunt, get salad instead of a baked potato or something. Also eat it without ranch or ask for a low-fat ranch.
9) Drink skim or no fat milk.

And for working out, this tumblr has some AMAZING workout videos. I recommend Jillian Michael's '30 day shred'.

Hope this helps! (: ♥

First make sure your sleeping regularly and getting enough/not too much.
The average teen/adult should get about 7-9 hours of sleep. People say more sleep is better but that's not the case.

Ugh I know what you mean about eating when your bored. As soon as there's food on TV or in a book I'm reading I immediately go to the kitchen sweatdrop

(I don't know if this will help you or not but it helps me)
As soon as I start craving I chew on a piece or two of Sugar-Free Fruit Flavored Gum. It has only 5 calories a stick and helps ward off the urge to eat.

After dinner I also go for a 1 mile jog.
It's easier after dinner because you aren't waking up at 5 in the morning (therefore not getting proper sleep) and you don't have to worry about showering before school.

Start slow, go for a walk around the neighborhood, make sure to time yourself. Just keep walking in the same direction then when you get to 15 minutes then turn around and go home.
Bam! 30 minutes exercise for the day done. Try doing it 3 nights a week.

Slowly grow into jogging instead of walking or walk for a total of an hour.
Walking 5 nights a week instead of 3.

Push yourself. Eventually you'll get into the habit of doing it and be upset when you don't have time for a night.

Take a friend! It's always easier when you have someone pushing you to finish your half hour.

ha i might steal some of these tips razz
also dont eat untill your full, eat untill your not hungry. and dont eat unless you are hungry.

chicken and fish and eggs are a great source of protein and have very little fat or calories. eating lots of vegetables with meat is very important, as vegetatables help bring out the iron and other good things out of the meat.

I'm hoping to become a nutritionist one day and that's why I know quite a lot about losing weight (thanks to my health education lessons in school!)

In my opinion the most common mistake people do when trying to lose weight is that they push theirselves too much. It's obvious that you're going to lose your motivation if you're not very familiar with exercising, and then you start following a work out program that's way over you're own skills. So instead of basically torturing yourself, you should start adding small bits of exercise to your daily life - taking the stairs instead of an elevator, walking to a location instead of taking the car, taking a walk in the evening istead of watching tv! Also, walking around with a friend is an excellent way to lose weight in the beginning and also to get motivated, and I'm just about to tell you why.

So basically the main sources of energy your body uses while exercising are carbohydrates and fat. When you're doing a hard work out (your heartbeat is about 80-90% from your max. heart rate) the importance of carbs grows drastically. But when the level of your work out is lower, let's say you go for that walk with a friend, the most important source of energy your body starts using up is FAT. So instead of doing a quick spurt and exhausting yourself, the best way to lose weight is to keep your heart rate somewhat average and to invest in the length of the work out.

The best way to keep motivated is to tell your friends what you're trying to achieve and I'm 100% sure they want to help you out! So for instance, ask one of your friends if they'd like to go out for a walk instead of hanging out at your house, watching tv etc. While you're walking (keeping a good pace of course) you get to exchange news with your friend and at the same time you're doing a good deed to your health! Sounds pretty nice eh? smile I started doing this with a good friend of mine years ago and even though I wasn't over weight to begin with, our small walking sessions in the evening really freshened my body and mind!

I hope this was of any help to you and I wish you all the best! smile

Hey girl to start of I am not over weight but my mom had 6 kids and she was struggling with her weight for a few years but she signed up for weight watchers and lost 69 pounds here are some tips

Okay limit yourself to one tablespoon of oil a day you can use that spray-able kinds to cause those are really low in calories and ishh

My mom eats alot of whole grain pasta's and stuff you just have to limit yourself on how big your meals are , and then snack on stuff though out the day

You should also take the time to exsersize like maybe park your car a little bit futher take the stairs instead of the elevator just the little things... hope this helped
