NAME OF CLASS:The Cave of Wonders
PROFESSOR TROLL NAME: Desu-chan

General information: Desu-chan is known best for well, flipping tables. And never...really speaking aside from using emotes. And- pink. She adore what most Halloweeners abhor, and she is willing to challenge anyone to try and face that which she herself loves where many other would flee in terror. She occasionally offers this chance to student through an anonymous text or email, with a simple map to the location of the cave of wonders.

The Cave of Wonders is misleading. In actuality, it is something that plays off of the fears of those who enter. The reason behind the ever changing cave? Desu-chan is actually behind a flipped desk, watching TVs that have live feeds of those who enter. From her hidden hole, she manipulates the cave to scare those she invites.

Mechanics:
Students start off with ONE 'life'. The older the student, the more lives. They must survive a total of 5 rounds. Before your student enters roll one d6 to determine setting. If you lose a 'life' you resume at the stage you failed at. Lose all lives, and it's game over.

Mobs and bosses can be changed to suit your student best. Examples can be used, but do not have to be exactly those.

Quote:
1- Water based. Dark pools of water, occasionally things bubble and you can swear you see something obscenely large in the water, seeming to swim through what you can only assume to be underwater tunnels. If you attempt to get into the water, a thick black tentacle grab you and flings you back on land, electrocuting you as well. Those water immune/oriented find the water thick, and sickening, it feels not quite right.

2- Fire based. Undead can take comfort, knowing that the fire doesn't hurt... Provided you stay on the path. If you step off the path the fire slowly creeps up on you, burning. Undead don't go up like a torch however, their fire is like others, slow. The flames only extinguish once back on the path. Those immune or in tune with fire find something oddly opposite, they begin to feel cold and their own 'fires' seem to slowly go out. Definitly not the comforting fire they know.

3- Air based. Below is dark pit, which the path steps hover precariously above. Any attempts to fly off the path results in plummeting to the bottom, where upon a gust of air, sends them back to the path. Those unafraid of heights or wind find themselves feeling heavy, and very un-balanced.

4-Christmas based. Congrats this is...Christmas land???? Going off the path results in smelling peppermint.. and slowly feeling your FEAR fade from you.

5-School based. Eerily empty and devoid of any signs of life, this mockery of the school generates shadows and image of coats of while and gold, with flecks of color. Strange runic blue glow lines the walls. Empty cages... a warm fog... is that the glow of a weapon in the distance? Going off the path, and you feel like your FEAR is being sucked out.

6- Desu Special. It's like the princess corner, only bigger. Going off the path results in glitter and stickers, along with pink ribbons. Oh as well as a sharp needle like sensation pricking you.

If something normally wouldn't scare your student, the environments should still set them off and make them feel uneasy. There are no bonuses for any environment. Do note, YOUR FEAR IS NOT ACTUALLY FADING/LEAVING. It's more a simulated effect. Similar to how an object might appear falling over, when it is in fact, perfectly structurally sound.

Round 1

The entrance itself doesn't change but as the light vanishes from the entrance, torches illuminate the path before you. By the time the entrance is no longer visible, the setting has become apparently. Nothing seems to be happening..yet.

Rolling 1 d100, if you score 21 or above, you continue deeper. Below, and you chicken out for whatever reason.

Round 2
At this point, the path splits into two. One seems less dangerous than the other...but do you dare take the sinister looking path?

Roll 1d100. 41 and above result in chosing the scarier path and having nothing happen. Get 40 or below, and you find yourself attacked by common mob off the setting, The mob knocks you out, and you wake up thinking that now is a good time to BOOK IT.
Mob examples are: Tentacle monster, fire demon, thunder clouds, angry snowman, a hooded hunter that isn't and Caelius or any NPC/PC character, Glitter cloud

Round 3
The path is now becoming long and winding and you feel like you've seen this a dozen or so times. Yet as a new turn revels itself, the path abruptly vanishes.

Roll 1D100. 61 and above and the path can be see, though you feel the effects of going off path at the edge, you make it to that turn, where the path shows itself once more. Get Below, and the sensations of going off the path begin. Time to head back before they continue.

Round 4
You've neared the end, and yet you find the path has lead you to a large platform. A cloaked figure stands at the path's continuation. Can you get by?

Roll 1D100. get 71 or above to see the boss level mob of the area, and face your fear and pass them, head held high. Get lower and find yourself flung back. 'YOU SHALL NOT PASS' echoes in a thunderous voice.
Boss examples for areas are: Horrorterror, Lava dragon, Rotting demon bird, Jingleberry, Caelius, OwO

Round 5
The final trial. A simple yes or no question. A podium sits at the end of the path, a candle with a pink flame illuminating the text. The question is simple. "<3?" A pencil sits next to the paper so you can circle yes, or no.

Roll 1 D100. get 81 or above to have 'selected' the right answer. Hint. The answer changes so it doesn't matter what you pick. Get anything below, and you see that boss you passed coming up behind you. RUN FOREST, RUN!

If you make it to the final round and pass, you get to see a very happy Desu-chan running up to you and giving you a hug as well as a pat on the head. A random candy is give to you for all your suffering. Then you are kicked out the back door. Hey, at least you got a candy for it!

BONUSES
-Each year nets you one extra life.
-Y2 have 2 lives
-Y3 have 3 lives
-Anything above Y3 STILL would follow the cap of 3 lives.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS RP WHEN...

- You lose all your lives. It's game over. That means you have to make ANOTHER rp to try again!

West squinted at his laptop, snapping it shut when he saw that the email he had received was anonymous. It was only a few hours later, however, while he was looking to procrastinate on a particularly boring assignment that he opened it again, staring at the attached map with a mix of irritation and confusion. Where would it lead him? He wasn't going to find out by sitting around here.

* * *

The boil stood at the entrance to a cave, his hair blowing back in the cool breeze that emanated from the mysterious chasm. It was getting kind of long again—his hair, not the cave—but he found he was of a mind to let it grow. The circumstances surrounding his last impromptu trim had been more reactionary than voluntary, and if he was being honest, he preferred it longer.

"Hello?" he shouted, pushing a couple of strands behind his ear. No answer. West rolled his eyes and stepped inside.

The cave went on and on, a narrow hallway of rock that looked the same no matter which way he turned, at least until he looked behind him. West could still just make out the light at the end (or was it beginning?) of this tunnel, and in a sudden wave of boredom over this entire situation, the demon spun on his heel and began to stride back toward the entrance.

He hadn't retraced more than five of his steps before he caught the faint whiff of peppermint coming from further in the cave. Wait, what? He couldn't imagine that some random text message could have led him to the entrance of Christmas Town, but it seemed his curiosity wasn't going to let him ignore that smell.

West turned around for the second time and continued walking.

Eventually, he reached a fork in the path. One direction was so dark he could barely see more than ten feet ahead of him, but the other was bright and almost... cheerful. Gag. He didn't want to venture further into such an obnoxiously cheery tunnel, but he had to know. West hurried forward, ignoring the faint chirping of happy voices up ahead.

It seemed to stretch on forever. The only indication that he was making progress was the increasing chill in the air and the strengthening smell of peppermint. A stick cracked sharply to the boil's left and his hand shot out to meet the wall. There was no room to his left. Where had that noise come from?

Before he could think about the subject any further, West felt an almost painful drain on his FEAR as the air around him filled with delighted chuckles.

"What the..." he muttered, leaning slightly against the wall. The chuckling grew louder. A wave of red and green streamed toward him. The last thing he saw was a pointed hat.

When West woke up several hours later there was snow crusted in his hair and a bow tied around his left horn. It was clearly time to head home.

It was a rainy Moonday morning when West suddenly decided he needed to clean out his inbox. The task hadn't seemed all that important amidst the death and visions of death and inescapable psychotic episodes and death, but now that he had been back at Amity for a while, such mundane tasks had to be taken care of. He scrolled through spam messages advertising everything from hair care products to FEAR enhancement supplements, and he was seconds away from deleting every last stupid email when he saw something simultaneously familiar and strange. Something he had forgotten.

Several months ago, he had received an anonymous message, one that had led him to a strange cave. There had been snow. There had been bows. He kind of wanted to go back. It couldn't be any worse than sitting around his room engaging in mailbox maintenance.

West grabbed the jacket hanging off of the back of his chair and snapped his laptop shut without peeking at the message again. He knew where he was going. He didn't need no stinkin' map.

The last time he had ventured into this cave West had felt strange, for lack of a better word—confused, weirded out, even a little apprehensive. This time he experienced none of those sensations. He strolled up to the mouth of the cave with a determined expression on his face, an expression that only increased in ferocity when he smelled the faint odor of peppermint wafting out of the cavern.

"I'm back y'sons'a bitches," he muttered into the echoey opening. West stepped inside, shoving his hands in his pockets as the darkness deepened and the silence became pervasive. If he was going to have his a** kicked and decorated again, he was going to take a few of those Christmas Town saps down with him.

Here. Somewhere along the way West had broken into a jog, but he quickly skidded to a stop as he came to a dim, narrow fork. His hands jutted out to his sides, catching the rocky walls to keep his body from pitching forward. This was the place. He could barely make out the fork where he had been attacked, but between the sudden influx of peppermint and the fairly distinctive stalagmite that threatened to trip him as he continued forward, he was certain he had been here before. He didn't recall having had this much time to stand around then, but he certainly wasn't complaining. He thought about calling out to see if anyone was there, but decided against it.

Off to West's left, the way forward continued in the same straightforward, somewhat boring fashion it had before this, at least as far as he could see. The right portion of the fork appeared a great deal more rugged, however. Stone protrusions jutted into the cave from every direction, leaving the path he was to traverse barely large enough to fit through. The boil frowned, then started down the troublesome fork. Somehow, he didn't think this was supposed to be easy.

It seemed like forever before he looked up again. The path had evened out a short while after he'd fought to continue along it, but it had been an eternity since his surroundings had looked different, even though he kept moving. West was just about to turn around and attempt to head back when he noticed it. Several feet in front of him the cavern floor simply... ended.

He shuffled closer, his brows dipping in irritation. What now? He thought he had been doing all right for himself and now this. [color#e72a41]"Bullshit," he decreed, sweeping the loose gravel at his feet off of the sudden cliff. Or at least that's what he expected would happen. Instead, the little stones fanned out over an invisible path in front of him, outlining a clear route forward.

"Yer shittin' me," he said, unfolding his arms. That was actually... pretty cool.

Moving forward was easy after he crossed the bridge. It wasn't much longer before West smelled fresher air up ahead, and the realization that he was nearing the cave's end quickened his steps. The ground slanted upwards, and just when he was certain that he was about to break out onto the surface again, the passage widened, a platform spreading out in front of him. What was this?

"Hello?"

Nothing.

West moved ahead, determined to escape from this place on his own terms and without any bows tied around his horns, when a cloaked figure materialized in front of him, the festive scent of mint clouding the air around him. It couldn't be.

"Jingleberry?" West breathed, taking an involuntary step back. He hadn't thought he would see the Christmas Town ninja again after his first year exam, especially after he had been absent when Amityville had gone all snowy, but here he was. A mentor. A glorious fighter. A crazed madman attacking him for no reason. West dodged out of the way, bringing his fists up in front of him. This was more like it.

The katanas came for him again, and West just barely kept away from them this time. He'd have to be quicker if he wanted to avoid dissipation.

"Hey, uh, man?" What was Jingleberry anyway? "Y'dun hafta fight me, I mean... if ya'd jus' hear me out we could... y'could train m—"

West ducked as the blades sliced through the air above his head again. As much as he wanted to try reasoning with the Christmas ninja, it seemed Jingleberry was having none of it.

It was always his first instinct to fight, but this battle didn't seem worth it. The faux ninja's moves were precise and displayed the skills West had come to associate with Jingleberry, but his movements lacked emotion... heart. Like punching nerdy students who didn't fight back, West found this exchange utterly dissatisfying. He ducked again, this time for the last time.

"Yer not him, are ya?"

Jingleberry disappeared.

West trudged on, his disappointment over not encountering the real Jingleberry evidenced in his somber mood and shuffling steps. When he reached the podium, he picked up the pencil and scribbled a large, insistent circle around the NO.

He was beginning to think he knew whose cave this was.
