NAME OF CLASS: n/a
PROFESSOR NAME ToT'er Name: Break

General Information: Break believes that both agility and endurance is the best asset for a to trick or treater to have, so with the interest of looking for potential among the students he invites you all to try his course.

The Course: Thunder Road
A rocky, uneven road built to test the students and see how they handle themselves across rough terrain. Your student must run through the entire course, up hill, and keep running without stopping. If they slow their pace or come to a complete stop, they'll be struck by lightning and it will be the end of the line for them!

Course can be ran solo or in groups.

Win - You've survived five rounds of dice rolls and crossed the finish line!
Lose - If your HP has reached zero, there is a narrow path on each side of the course. Hop off onto it and exit the room. If insta-killed, you dissipate and wake-up in Nurse Cricket's Office.

Mechanics: Roll a one 8-sided die to determine the results your student will get and make sure to adjust your HP accordingly
Each time you survive a round, repeat the above until you complete the course.

1 Insta-kill!
2 Live
3 - 10 HP
4 - 20 HP
5 Live
6 Live
7 - 20 HP
8 - 10 HP

Bonus Mechanics:
If you get a lousy roll, a Y2 or Y3 student may roll a one 6-sided die ( ONE TIME ONLY ) and attempt to evade the hit.

Y2 students must roll a 5 or 6 to evade the lightning.
Y3 students must roll an even number to evade the lightning.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You are hit 0 HP That means you have to make ANOTHER rp to try again!

Yǐn Cáng approached the road leading up the hill for the third time. It was a new day, and he was rested up, somewhat. As usual he had spent his morning in the gymnasium, cleaned up, ate lunch, and wandered over to the class he was determined to pass. He reached the starting point and started his stretches, limbering up for the run ahead.

Tybalt body ached. Not even a full days rest rid him of the pain of getting zapped repeatedly by lightning. Though one would think that the black dog would be used to it by now with all his screw ups using his Fear ability.

Apparently not.

Nearing the course, he spotted another student. A new face. One he did not recognize at all. A first year perhaps?

"Hey, going to try the course too?" He asked, tail swishing back and forth lazily from behind before the black dog sat on his rump and eyed the boil curiously.

The mantodae turned, noting with a slight hint of surprise that it was a dog speaking. Unexpected, but he was accustomed to talking to those in animal form, just normally not ones that he had to look down to see properly.

"I am indeed," he said, glancing back to eye the hill before adding, "...again. My first two tries were not satisfactory." He eyed the dog for just a moment longer before a slight grin lit his face. "Perhaps I have not had the proper motivation. Would you like to race? Just a friendly competition."

Two? Well then, Tybalt wasn't going to mention the three failures he had already experienced. It wasn't important anyways, so there was no need to share, right?

"A race? Sounds interesting. Though my guess is lightning will beat us before we reach the top." His lips curled back revealing a toothy grin. "You're on."

With that, the black dog moved into position, ready to launch into motion at the word go.

"You may have a point," the weremantis conceded. "But we can at least see who gets the farthest before then. On your mark," he began, getting into position. "Prepare yourself," he reached up and snapped his goggles into place. "Go!"

With that he charged ahead, not really looking at the dog but focusing mainly on not getting hit. Remarkably he charged ahead of a bolt that struck just behind him. Apparently competition was exactly what he needed.

The black dog snorted. Farthest was more accurate, yes. Tybalt was beginning to doubt he'd ever finish the course. It was rather difficult and... painful, but at least now he was more motivated to run it. With a race involved, it meant things were more challenging, not to mention, exciting.

"Alright!" He called back, lunging onto the course; feet briefly touching the ground with every step he took as he charged forward.

He had to pick his path carefully and he needed to judge the timing just right to avoid each and every strike of lightning. Failing to do so meant failing the course and he didn't want that. So with a watchful eye on the sky, he ran.

Maybe it was the race, maybe it was that he actually remembered to strap his goggles on. Either way he was doing much better this time to the track, already reaching the place where he had been forced off onto the side path during his latest run.

"Almost halfway!" he called before he was forced to jump to the side to avoid a bolt. It was a reminder for him to stop wasting his breath, and he surged forward, more determined than ever.

Just as Yin jumped to avoid a bolt, Tybalt was hit by the very same bolt. The force of it causing the black dog to stagger a little before he somehow managed to steady himself and continue running.

"Almost half way and yet so far." He gave a pained grin as he pursued the other. Unlike the weremantis, Tybalt had no breath to waste and was okay to talk as much as wanted. Though, that was only if it didn't distract him.

Yin glanced back over, risking turning his head to see if the dog boil was okay. He seemed to be doing okay, though perhaps the course was wearing him down so Yin gave him a slight smile before turning back to the road

Despite his workouts his body was beginning to send him signals that he needed to slow down and needed to breathe, but he ignored the signals. This hill left no room for errors. He did not have time to slow down, only to try to push himself to move faster.

Unfortunately, Yin's smile was lost on the Tybalt. Just as it registered in the black dog's mind what the boil was doing, yet another bolt of lightning descended on him, quicker than a rattler's strike. It was too bad for Tybalt, but as quick as he was, the lightning was far quicker and gave him almost no time to even react before it hit, causing him to dissipate once again.

It lasted only a second, but like before, the black dog was gone from the track course. If Yin turned around, he would find no sign, other than paw prints on the ground, that he had even been there.

The mantodae heard a rather ominous crack of thunder and glanced back. And found no trace of the dog boil. A sick feeling began to gather in the pit of his stomach and he whipped his head back to the top of the hill.

Just in time to see a bolt of lightning racing toward him. He did not have time to get out of the way as he had been distracted, but thankfully it was a small jolt, and he managed to continue on toward the top.

With the jolt of lightning to remind him that he had no time to waste he pushed himself, muscles burning and lungs begging for air to the top. He was almost shocked when he reached the top, glancing around as if to make sure that there was nothing more to the course.

And sadly there was not. There was no dog at his side. Yes, he had finally passed, but it was a somewhat bitter victory. And from now on he would at least learn his opponents name before he began a competition.

Just in case they never made it to the finish line.
