I see that comment a lot on Facebook on some of the various LGBT themed groups.
Then I saw this. It's really nice to see how much progress has been made in 3 years. Here's to hoping 2012 has even more progress. ^_^ (Sorry, big picture is big.)

Maybe it's because I'm in Canada, but I don't hear much about the stuff that Obama does. I'm glad to see all the progress that he's made down in the states though! It's a shame that not everyone can see all the good that he's done for the LGBT community.

A good way to explain what we keep hearing, Impy Kun, is like this ; what is going bad, is because of President Obama. Whatever is going good is in spite of the President's efforts. It's a heads I win, tails you lose situation...

It's good to see a President make such changes, however minor and unreported, that don't go against human rights. Whether or not Obama followed (or was able to follow) through with the promises under his Presidential campaign, we still see some sort of civil accomplishment below the media hype and political slapfights.

I am for Obama, but I was of the opinion that he hasn't done enough. I didn't know about most of these things (though my immediate thought was DADT, when I read this title) but I am surprised that he's been so vocal about being against DOMA when he himself stated that he never intended to push for equal marriage rights.

I think there's a ridiculous amount of contempt towards President Obama. I feel that any of the mistakes that he made were human mistakes: definitely not intentional or malicious. Compared to previous presidents, what did he do that was so bad? Did people really expect him to keep all of his promises at once, in one term?

Just a thought.

I'll say this, I wasn't for Obama before the elections. After seeing everything he did, I could hug him, you know, If he didn't have his own highly trained force of bodyguards that would shoot me for it.

I think the problem with Obama is that he never really promised anything. His whole platform was super vauge. Things like. "I want to extend the hand of friendship, not the fist of violence" Like srsly, what does that mean? It sounds great and motivational, but it means nothing.
Or like "I want change"
All very vauge. Stupid politics.
