Shifting to where the clone once was, Ayon's Sharingan began to spin - not to see any remnants left, but downward further to the waters edge. How the chakra was still that much denser than anywhere else. As Reiki went to find out more, he walked towards land while releasing a huff, the past days events having worn on him by a rather high degree. Fighting Reiki, people dying left and right, this clone, it was becoming just too much for his brain to bare.

Standing back up to his dull stature, Ayon released a huff before opening his eyes; the spinning tomoe rapidly pacing themselves as the Sharingan's power began to activate. Hypothetically, if this was what he thought, he could send it back to the one trapping him by swapping its placing - though with it being so powerful this was merely a estimation and nothing more. Still, this was better than nothing at all.

Try as he might, the jutsu's activation went to null. As such, this must mean that everything around him was real, that any potential illusion was stronger in power than the reversal, auto-enacting consistently, was stacked with other instance-types, or was a high ranking, multiple layered Genjutsu. The latter parts would make this all too complicated--clever--but too much work for such little grasp on reality. The only option left was that all of the events that had transpired around their group had been undeniably true.
S H I N S E T S U Eirlys||Bukijutsu||Genin||"Frost Witch" ╔════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Eirlys watched on in shocked displeasure as the scene unfolded before her, and quite curiously, she could almost remember seeing it before, but couldn't quite place her finger on it. She was simply about to tell him to conserve his energy for when they might truly need it. But it had already happened, and as she had expected, it had garnered no results. She reached him and placed her hand gently on his shoulder. "I think it's best we follow by example and concede. We cannot figure this out on our own, and as much as I am loathe to admit it, we need the help of the others. Let us return." Her words were clipped, yet calm in their delivery. She took the first step of many that would bring her back to the inner sections of the village, and from there she would proceed to the Mizukage's office. Hopefully some clues were there that she could use to connect the dots and come to terms with what was happening.

Nothing happened. It wasn't the worst outcome, he could have utterly destroyed the ecosystem or something like that, but he didn't exactly solve any problems either. A bunch of mushrooms that grow along the beaches are also present in the water. The density of mushrooms, bits of them, and spores within it are so high that it would take some serious boiling to get rid of millions of tons of water. Needless to say, getting into the water without the proper protection would be like taking in a huge overdose of highly addicting drugs. The infection was so high that it would be easier to take out the source first, if the source could ever be found.
