After invaders decimated the naga herd and took over their ancestral home, the handful that managed to escape the eradication of their sub-breed and found themselves in the Kawani lands. All females, they soon scattered to the wind, largely losing touch with each other. Some became recluses, hiding away from the eyes of others, and some found places to belong and mates. They were sure the seven of them were all that remained of their herd.

That is, until the twins emerged from the sea. Quiet Shal'zaru and his gruff older brother Naz'jak are the last of the pure male nagas and the last nagas to make it to the Kawani lands. They have come looking for their lost kin, hoping to reunite the nagas and grow their small herd back into it's once proud numbers.

More to come as the herd adds to their story...

Largely distrustful of strangers, the nagas are wary of outsiders. They come more willing to accept other aquatic Soquili and Usida than any other types. Coming from the sea, the herd most at home near the beaches and swamps.

At peace with the dark waters of the ocean, the twins have brought back the belief in the sea gods to their lost kin. There are no set rules of worship, but more of a vague since of honor and respect for the spirits of the ocean.

--more beliefs to come--

Who are you? [On-going] The twins need to build their herd and this involves meeting other interested naga or like-minded Soquili that are willing to live by the ways of the naga. There is no end to this plot as there will likely be Soquili interested in joining.

Our New Home [Finite] The herd will eventually need to establish their new home and territory (see above map). Looking for interested parties to accompany the twins to their new home, or possibly show it to them as they are new to these lands.

These Are Our Traditions [On-going/Finite] There will eventually be foals born to the new herd, foals that never had the benefit of being raised on the original herd and learning of their traditions, religions, and ways. Most of these will be half-breeds, as well. These foals will need to be taught the ways of their herd, either by their mothers or by the priests/priestesses or by the lorekeeper. Though this plot will end when the foal is grown, it will always come back up for new foals.

...more to come.

Gonna put this list together.

I'm only going to list the positions that need to be filled. Some of these only need one position filled, some have multiple slots.

Warrior (6 spots) Warriors are the protectors of the herd, first to the frontlines if an invaders show up. They are have a high rank in the herd, but only a few herd members are qualified enough to hold the position. The toughest herd members are usually the ones to become warriors, but a few have gained renown in this rank as strategist rather than fighters.

Lorekeeper (1 spot) The Lorekeeper is one of the highest ranks in the herd without actually ruling the herd. They are responsible for keeping the stories and traditions alive for their herd and ensuring the foals learn who they are. Often they are advisors for the herd leaders as well, having a great knowledge bank to pull experience and lessons from.

Shaman (2 spots) Shaman work closely with the Lorekeeper in upholding the traditions of the herd. They are responsible for leading the ceremonies and inducting new members into the herd, mentoring them through their probationary period.

Foal-watcher (1 spot) This herd member is responsible not only for minding the foals to keep them safe, but also for educating them in the ways of the herd, save for beliefs and traditions which are handled by the Lorekeeper. The Foal-watcher's main role is almost a surrogate parent and confidant for the young members of the herd, helping raise them to be productive future members.

Hunter/Fisher/Gatherer (2 of each spot) These herd members are responsible for supplying the groceries. Hunters and sometimes Fishers can assist Warriors if needed, but their main role are to be providers. Likewise, the Gatherers can assist the Shaman, but they are still providers. These members will have to keep track of any game or plants in the area that can be a sufficient food source for the herd without depleting the stock. They might be able to learn to cultivate plants or find ways to keep animals and fish healthy and well-stocked so the herd can comfortably remain in its territory without needing to wander in search of food.

Explorer (2 spots) This member patrols the territory and beyond to keep the perimeter safe and also find interesting locations, items, or even other Soquili that might benefit the herd. It is not uncommon for them to bring home a stray horse to introduce them to the herd.

Application

Things to know before applying for the herd: We're not looking for any evil or overly wicked, manipulative Soquili. The herd is trying to get back on its feet and is not interested in major conflicts at this time. Kelpies, Mers, Nixies, and Seathi are ideal members, but all types are welcome. Eyebrows might be raised at feathered Soquili, though.

I'll be getting a list of herd members together tomorrow, working off the apps from the interest thread. As I get apps here for members and/or positions, I'll update the list.

Also.. if anyone has plots to add or wants to contribute info, suggestions, ect, please post here. :3
