the couple came over to my dad's house yesterday and took both the birds. they already had a few birds at their home so amber and mr. tuftles may finally be able to have some playmates of their own species. ill miss them but im very happy to see them go to a good home where they will get the care they deserve instead of just the basic care they need

aww, I like birds, but I could never care for one lol. I just don't like getting pooped on.... Call me selfish, but I like animals that can be potty trained. At school right now we have a ring necked parakeet or something or other. I love this bird almost as much as the cockatoo at the store. Course this one is more travel size lol. While I was typing up client files I let her sit on my shoulder and play with my hair. People either love or hate that bird. Normally I am a bit warry with birds, but I am able to stand my ground when she tests me. Others who hesitate get bitten. So the bird already has students she likes and dislikes lol.
Totally off topic comment lol

Totally off topic comment lol after a while they usually learn to not poop on their owners. ours would usually hold it until they got back to their cage. the tiel used to play with my hair all the time when we were close. maybe if our future kid ends up being a bird nut ill get another bird but until then im happy watching them and not having to clean up after them

My neighbors had around 30 birds (all rescues), and they were potty trained! They'd signal (some how) that they had to go when they were being held, and my neighbor would hold them over the news paper around their cages, and they go, and then went back to playing or being held. It was kinda funny, actually XD
