Hi girls! (: I've been looking to lose some weight for quite a while now, and since none of these formulaic weight loss websites are working, I figured I might as well ask the advice of real girls who may have some real experience and advice.

I'm 5"6, and I weigh 132 pounds.
I get a pretty good amount of activity, I'm in show choir and we practice and compete a lot.
But some days I'm also really lazy and I tend to eat when I'm bored or having a bad day.

For the record, I'm not fat (here's a picture of me http://i43.tinypic.com/14171x0.jpg I'm the one on the left), I just want to get rid of some extra flab on my stomach and thighs haha.

So, yeah, I'd love to weigh about 115 by June. Is there any way I can achieve this? I've already cut out any other drinks besides water, I don't eat after 7:00 pm, and I always eat breakfast.

I'm trying to lose weight, too (though, much more than 10lbs haha). What I'm doing is cutting down on what I'm eating and working out. Doing sit-ups, palates, and, crazy as it sounds, I'm playing DDR and just Dance a lot, too. DDR is really good for hips and stomach, I think, but you have to be on a harder level. Easy difficulty doesn't do much.

Why the heck are you tryin to lose weight? Your BMI is normal,not overweight OR obese..not even CLOSE to either of those!
I don't mean to be offensive but i hate when naturally curvy girls complain and whine about losing weight when they don't need it. At all.
I can promise you that being stick thin is NOT as great as it's made out to be.
Guys like curves..not bony girls like me.
Please,just please for once,appreciate how you look.
Now if you are in the overweight or obese BMI then i suggest losing weight.
But you aren't so just stoooppp.
What you do need to do,is toning. Find some toning exercises for flats abs
and tight thighs and you'll get just what your looking for.
Edit; Try these[Pssstt,it includes pictures so you know what you're doing!]
Flat Abs
Thighs + Legs
And you can't just do it for one week and stop,you have to do it all the time
to get what you want.

I'm not going by weight, more going for 'I want to be thinner' XD
I've been eating more whole grain, fruits, and vegetables. Eating skinless chicken breast and fish helps, too.

I think the picture I posted might be a bit misleading.
I'm bigger than I look in that picture, I just posted it for the sake of showing that I'm not obese or anything.
People always talk about 'toning' and whatnot, but before I can do that, I need to get rid of the fat that's built up on my stomach. like they always say, you can do 1000 sit ups and have great abs, but if there's fat on top of them then it doesn't mean anything.
And I didn't mean to come off as whiny or anything... xD
but thank you for the links 3nodding the one for thighs looks awesome.

It is?! Okay, well yay. I think I might buy that hahah.
And yeah, I'm not much of a calorie counter because whenever I tried eating like that was I was always hungry. I mostly just listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry. I'm a vegetarian, so no chicken or fish for me xD, but I do agree that fruits&veggies are filling and nutritious.

Like I said, I don't think I'm fat, I just dislike my stomach and thighs, and I know I could stand lose some weight around those areas. the only things I can ever find online are ways to get great abs, and I'm like "I don't want great abs because you can't even see them yet!!!" >_>;

well, all i can say is not eating is NOT the answer. i stopped eating for a while (not to loose weight but beacause i didnt feel like eating at that time due to some emotional things) and sure, i lost about 5kg but my stomache got really big and gross, like i was bloated. so eating is very important

You don't really look like you have a lot to lose but to help shed those extra pounds make sure you do cardio AND strength building exercises. And try and keep your diet as clean as possible but don't deprive yourself of everything. If I had a good work out that day, I'll have a cookie or steal a couple fries at work if I'm craving it. This will help you prevent any kind of binge. Drinking green tea helps immensely. It'll boost your metabolism and give you a refreshed/energized feeling. I usually have a mug of hot tea in the morning and for lunch I'll have it cool...chilled..whatever you wanna call it. Pears, almonds (unsalted), spinach, ect are also good. Remember, 1500 calories of fruit is always better than 1000 calories in junk. Less isn't always best!
I've been trying to lose weight as well for summer. I eat between 1200-1460 calories a day, never less and I usually eat pretty healthy! For breakfast I'll have fruit and yogurt or whole wheat toast with fatfree cream cheese and a cup of almond milk. For lunch, I stick to something filling because I usually eat after running, so I'll eat an avocado, tomato, and turkey breast sandwich with fruit or a salad. And for dinner, is usually a chicken breast on brown rice with lime or lemon squeezed on top. It's a lot of work sometimes to make it but it's rewarding and I know if I don't make something filling and with flavor, I'll cave and eat something I shouldn't later. For work outs, I run everyday and come home and do either yoga or some muscle building excercise that targets different parts of my body, depending on the day. I started getting serious about it around mid-February and so far I've lost 12 pounds. Just ten more pounds to go for me! :3 I know following fitness blogs on tumblr motivates me A LOT!
And one last thing, sometimes you don't lose weight but your body still slims down so make sure you're taking measurements too! Good luck (:

i use to be a stick, but gained some weight, mostly belly fat, my boyfriend has never been so in love me, all he does is play with my stomach pouch and my curvy hips (the hips happened naturally, the pouch occurred from too much starches) i kinda gave up on losing the weight, it'll happen when it wants to my body and hormones are all messed up anyways, so i can't do anything about it, so i've come to just love my body, and when someone tells me im fat i tell them im 123 pounds, im not fat baby ;D my bmi is very healthy
