Almost growling in frustration as the light from the day poured in, Jae clenched her fists tightly to her sides, glaring at the Anbu that had been reanimated. Seconds prior she had felt his neck pop with her efforts and now he was patrolling as if nothing was wrong. It took everything in her not to grab him by the neck and demand answers from him. Answers in which she knew he knew nothing of. Whatever had happened, however he had claimed the headband, it had not yet occurred. Following that train of thought she slipped her hand into her pocket to affirm that the headband she had picked up had indeed disappeared along with the reset. s**t... She cursed to herself, felling it's absence. On the verge of losing it she tensed when she heard the explosion and felt the ground trembling in it's wake. Her attention was instantly on the northern wall where the intruders were now entering.
Thing seemed to slow down to Jae suddenly. As if everything were moving in slow motion. The gear, the weapons and their tactics. It was them. UHV! Jae's demeanor changed. Her heartbeat began to accelerate and her expression shifted into one of pure rage. She was seething, her blood boiling in her hatred. These bastards had finally shown their faces. She was not surprised to see them but what did surprise her was the headbands they each sported. That was different. The last time she had confronted the UHV they had been a massive swarm of what appeared to be cult like members with military training. She should have known. An operation that big had to be supported by some bigger force. Otogakure... She would see that they burned to the ground. Each and everyone of them. "Murderers!!" Jae screeched, losing her calm and any semblance of control she had. It had to be them! There was no mistaking the gear.

She remembered their love for fire, Jae having had to watch them burn Samuru alive. It took no amount of imagination to guess that something bad was going to come out of that nozzle when sprayed.

The force of both combinations caused the wind to be sucked in and then forced out with great force. The explosion was concentrated in the direction of the taller of the gunners. Those surrounding the circumference of the field would also suffer for being in such close proximity. Jae was now reckless in her desire for revenge. She didn't care who got in her way at this point. Sypher had been correct. She was not safe to be around and was very much still unstable.

-----נust like every other rising of the sun, the chaos reset, and everything was calm once more. Briefly. No sooner had the sun risen that an explosion rocked the building. My gaze shot up to the top tier, where five figures burst through the wall. Four held weapons, one with some sort of nozzle attached to a backpack, and a fifth made a run for the prison cells. They were dressed exactly like the 'peasants' who had attacked us on the way to Kumogakure, which meant what was behind that was greater than I'd originally thought. The first thing that crossed my mind for the nozzle was poison, but that seemed kind of odd since the man during the ambush had used a bomb. My thoughts were distracted at Jae's cry from below. Murderers? So she'd run into them before as well. And given her anger, not in a good way. -----There wasn't a lot I could do in the way of fighting here, not in my current state. I had the fuuin from the streets, but I wasn't willing to test it with allies in the way. Even then, the ones who had attacked us were either immune to chakra somehow or had some sort of defense--I had seen the strange glow from under the cloaks they wore. So I went after the runner instead, while Jae lost it on the other four. If I could stop him, then we wouldn't have to worry about more opponents. On one side, I moved Samajii awkwardly up the stairs he had previously been blocking. On the other, I attacked with Tosai from behind, talons outstretched to strike if he dodged what I had in mind. I waited until the runner was close enough to the bear and fired wire from the dispenser at the base of his neck, trying to ensnare the man and drag him over the side of the platform.

For the base of the puppet, he used a bamboo structure, since the reed was both durable and lightweight. It was given the same bone structure as a bird, for the most part, though the hollow cavity of the abdomen was also reinforced with bamboo. This cavity, as well as the ‘skull’, is utilized for mechanism compartments. The beak is made of animal bone, carved into the proper shape and painted. The feet are also made of bone, though jointed. They are the only obviously jointed area without inspecting the puppet closer. The talons are made with bladed steel. Shadow uses his tree climbing ability to climb to the highest branches of most trees, greatly extending his sight range and, therefore, range of the puppet’s control. He designed the puppet to be utilized as more of a scouting weapon than an offensive weapon, with mechanisms to help it get away in tight situations. It is also manually collapsible, where the head and legs contract into the body and the wings fold neatly against the back. This makes it easier and less awkward to transport.

Claws and teeth are made of bladed steel. Covered in brown synthetic fur, hardly anything looks to be abnormal about the puppet, except for its size. However, like Kasai, it contains a chakra steel orb that absorbs chakra from Shadow. This allows the puppet to create a chakra shield, as well as a pulse to knock enemies off of their feet.

He threw his punches, but as all disappeared around him, and his enemies melted, Ryou stopped his barrage of spinning attacks. His eyes were side and saw that it was day again... "Eh." Ryou was confused, he didn't understand this instance... He had to find the Kage. With the door's showing past selves, and past events, now everything resetting, and time passing past, was this a Genjutsu?! Was it a seal?! Ryou growled to himself and looked around as people looking like peasants with headbands with music symbols on them. Ryou had never seen that one, it was new to him, however the guess of what it meant was simple. But Ryou did not remember much about a land of sound when he came to this land, and studied other lands in the academy. They were quickly met with retaliation though, the lady with pink hair lashed at them, calling them murderer's, she appeared in the middle of the group of mystery attackers, he spotted the one with the canister on her back.
Looking at the masks the shinobi wore, they were wearing gas masks... Ryou's sharingan fell onto the female that had the canister on her back and Ryou grew a horrible feeling. Looking to Jae who was in the middle of the fray, she was possibly in trouble! As she blasted out wind, the gusts blew Ryou's hair in a flurry, and he squinted, covering his face with his forearm. He brought his arm down and clenched his fists. I need more power to do this, for the village... I'll only go too Third Gate. Ryou clenched his fists, flexing his muscles and chakra, the ground around him splitting only a bit. It lifted up as his skin grew a shade of red, and a few veins popped into vision on his forehead. The blue chakra swirled around him, and he felt the gate give. Ryou knelt down and looked around, spotting a very simple object; a chain lying along the ground.
He looked across, his sharingan slowly everything, allowing him to pick up on small movements and trajectories of projectiles. He then dashed, only a couple seconds in the period of time, not even. The boy was faster than ever in combat! His travel was headed to the group of four, however the one with the canister was his main target. Jae was there, she was angry and lost in it's storm; any logical and strategic man would wait for her to leave an opening... "Into the fray I go, but not for long... this'll be a cinch." Ryou was not a bright apple, he was task oriented and his task was to help her, he didn't care what she thought, even if he just wasn't aware. Stubbornness, arrogance, ignorance, courage... they all seemed to blend together after a while. Ryou's sprint ended in front of the lady with the canister, his blistering red skin and angry eyes meeting her's through her mask. His chakra burst out forwards, blowing away the galling wind created by Jae and pushed anything loose far away from him. He reached for the nozzle aiming to grab it and rip it out of her hands, however if her finger was on the trigger he would not pull. His eyes glanced at the lady for precise things, he was looking for: a shut off valve, what the weapon held inside, if there was a label, and finally what the lady would do, along with the smaller one as well. Ryou's other hand reached forwards to the lady, aiming to grab her mask. Ryou's idea was that if the one with the 'trigger finger' was vulnerable to her weapon, than she would be hesitant to give it off.

Jae's closest gunner couldn't hear or recognize the yell of 'murderers', but he did recognize the turbulent air. Stepping directly into the blast and continuing forward, his body glowed as it seemingly absorbed all of the chakra out of the air, neutralizing the jutsu's effects. A small puff of white vapor drifted out from his belt's pouch at the same time. Recognition now came to his eyes as he could perceive Jae, and he level his kunai launcher, letting loose a stream from the belt that fed his device.

The wire wrapped around the runner's neck beautifully, putting a nice strangle hold on him until his body glowed. Having been stopped inches from another lock, he spun around towards the puppet he could now see, watching it as the chakra currently applied to it disappear. A small puff of white vapor drifted out from his belt's pouch at the same time. Still unaware of the other puppet, the runner slid out from under the now slack line and taunted the puppeteer, raising a pointing finger and laughing. They say that pride cometh before the fall, and he really didn't see Tosai's attack, which would follow through without any complications.

This close to so many UHV, the remaining members' bodies all glowed, sucking in Ryou's exerted chakra, negating his technique before he reached arms length of anyone. Now that all of them could perceive the shinobi, the Kiri-nin had lost their major advantage. Puffs emitted from the pouches of the remaining members. The canister woman took a step back as she let loose a stream of liquid fire from her non-labeled nozzle contraption, the others dispersing to the sides of the walls to continue with suppressive kunai launching. One to the left of the flame thrower, the others to the right. Jae was not directly in the line of flame, and neither were the runner, the puppets, Shadowseeker, Suoh, the Anbu guards, or the other wild inmates. Just Ryou, but the heat would be immense, as well as the leftover fire that dripped onto the ground, pooling into hellish patterns the further away the stream pushed.

-----тhat was...unexpected. The wire had worked perfectly at first, but then the runner shimmered with light and the chakra strings attaching Samajii to me were severed. I caught sight of a small puff of steam jet from his waist. The man pointed at me and laughed, taunting like a child would, and I took that chance to strike from behind with Tosai. Claws outstretched, the bird tried to dig her bladed talons into the man's back, hauling him off of his feet to toss him over the railing into the darkness below. I took the opportunity to, likewise, reattach the strings to Samajii and draw him back toward me for protection. -----Light from above caught my attention, and I spotted what looked like a funnel of flame spitting from the nozzle one of the other four held. That was all the more reason to get my puppets away. From where I stood, I could do nothing to stop it, however. In fact, there wasn't much I could do here altogether but wait. Were the others closer, I could shield them, but I couldn't make it up there in time to help. I'd told Sypher about the attack on the road, but perhaps he hadn't thought it much of a threat with everything else going on. Still... That they made it this far into the Water Country without being seen? Something wasn't right.

Ryou's red face lost a lot of it's definition as the shock of his action began to show light to him, he had gotten himself into a mess. He felt it, around him he felt the chakra around him that he expelled sucked towards the attackers. 'They can absorb chakra?!' Ryou's mind faltered as he remembered back in the Academy, when Suoh gave him the scroll with a technique in it that could do the same, however now was not the time to study. If they could absorb chakra, it was unsafe to use Ninjutsu against them... Ryou looked at then and saw the glow for a moment... What was with them? He had to grab one but his mind was cut off once more as the woman got out of reach and aimed the nozzle at him. Ryou hesitated and he looked at the nozzle 'Oh no! Gas, I have no defenses!' Ryou held his breath, but what happened next, would change the tides once more, only slightly.
As the igniter clicked and the woman pulled the trigger, flames jetted out towards Ryou. His Sharingan's watched the flames ignite and his shock turned to a small smirk. The flames encircled him and he disappeared into the flames, Ryou felt the heat and the tips of his hair singed off, his clothing began to burn and Ryou brought up a handsign and the heat seemed to disappear, but not wihout a price. This was the Fireproof Technique, and it would do more than create an opening. Ryou felt the fire spray out still, the flames were repelled but not without damaging the male. Ryou's eyes locked back onto the girl and he was not done with her. Ryou performed another handsign, still engulfed and hidden in the flames, however he re-appeared out of the jet of fire to the side of the lady holding the flamethrower. His body still licked by the flames that were now stuck on him, he looked up to the woman with another glare. His body was covered in ashes and his clothing was torn and burnt, his sleeves were burnt off while his arms had minor burns on them. His jacket was in charred bits, and was close to falling off, but it stayed on now that he was out of the inferno. "You had me scared for a second," Under his jacket however, a scar would show slightly on the center of his back; rather it was a brand, a brand that the Kage would know what it meant, however no one else would more than likely. Only the bottom of the scar was visible, a winding tail, jagged and messy as if the scar was rough. That was all that was visible at the time, if you were up close and saw it.

He was knelt down and placed his hands on the ground, he began to spin his body and stuck out one leg. "...I thought something lethal was in that container!" A new trick? It was something she hadn't seen before but nonetheless, Jae was not daunted. She had trained for this and this was her sole reason for being in Kirigakure. Watching as her chakra was absorbed she narrowed her eyes, her stance defensive as she waited to see if there was a backlash of some sort. The man aimed his weapon at her and launched the kunai projectiles at her. Jae threw up a few hand signals and the winds around her stirred once again. The shield was strong enough to combat this assortment of attacks but it was not meant to be a continuous jutsu. She was going to have to move. Grabbing for her weapon she slid it out of it's holster, the chain supported in one of her hands and her bludgeoned end in the other. Pressing the switch on the handle of the bludgeon a small blade released. The wind shield reached it's limit and Jae moved, jumping for the side and narrowly avoided being impaled with many kunai. She didn't stop moving, Jae motioned her hands awkwardly and then disappeared.
Her body was shaky now as she reappeared slightly behind the man with the weapon launcher. She was squatted low, her thighs strained from her high speed trick and the position she was now resting in. Sitting up, she flung her chain in a noose like fashion around the neck of the man. If she caught him it wouldn't take her long to finish him off but Jae was a pessimistic person by heart. She always expected the worst outcome. Holding up the bludgeon, she kept the blade level with her body in case something surprised her and she needed to defend herself. Being in close proximity was risky but when dealing with these lunatics it was easier. The commotion around her rose as prisoners tried making their escape but were met with retaliation from the Anbu guards. This prison was not going to be that easy to escape from. There was a reason it was manned solely by Anbu. So instead of worrying about the escaping crooks she focused on the group she hated with every fiber of her being. Jae was ready to tug hard if her chain made contact. She craved to hear and feel the pop of his vertebrae as she broke his neck.

A click from above signaled that soon enough, the pending sunrise would filter over the tall walls to reset everyone and everything. Those on the outside of the walls would at least be able to ambush these UHV creeps again and again and again if they so chose. Elsewhere, the efforts produced here lowered the street market's underground water level by a single stair step. Shadowseeker wouldn't know this right now, but he could very well tell that the water level here in the prison went down slightly. It wasn't a whole lot, but it would hopefully join two points of information together. The taunting idiot was tossed unceremoniously over the side of the railings, his plunge into the cold sea waters exactly what he needed. 50 A.C. granted.

The UHV man, unable to negate the current round of chakra, attempted to step back to gain some room between him and the advanced shinobi, tripping backwards over her as she squat. As his neck got closer and closer to Jae, the chain's advance only made it easier for it to wrap solidly around him. Unable to do anything but flail as he soared through the air on his way to the ground, his last fleeting moments would assuredly be filled with Jae's vertebrae popping technique. 50 A.C. granted.

The flamethrower woman's legs were swept out from under her. As she landed on the metal grating, she could see that the night was quickly turning back to day once more. Not being able to understand the cyclical nature of the transpiring events, she would roll off of her crushed tank, kicking it out across the wide open space inside the prison just as it detonated. The blast concussed the midget into the air, her body now slack on the ground after striking a wall. 50 A.C. granted.

-----єverything would reset come dawn, and already what little sky we could see was turning gray with the rising sun. I watched the man Tosai threw over the railing fall into the water below, and an explosion rocked the building, but I turned my gaze back to the water in time to see it lowering, leaving a line where it had previously been. Those were two pieces easy to connect. Looking back up to the other two, I wasn't sure if they were close enough to hear me. Ryou, possibly. "Defeating them lowers the water!" -----How many days had passed now? I'd lost track. But I wasn't willing to wait any longer to find out. These weren't worth wasting time on as long as Jae and Ryou had it covered. I couldn't do much anyway. I needed to get home and restock, and possibly find out if Jack had anything useful. I'd never been in his room, but I'd glanced and knew he had all sorts of strange books and objects. Maybe it would hold some answers. Plus it would be a good place to test the fuuin I'd found. I needed to tell Sypher about the enemies as well. With that in mind, I drew Tosai back to my side and headed out of the prison ward.
ρυρρєтs αcтιvє • Tosai Rather realistic in appearance, the puppet resembles a golden eagle in size and proportion. It has a wingspan of approximately 84 in (213.36 cm) and a body length of 36 in (91.44 cm). However, it weighs a bit more than a normal bird, about 12 lbs (5.4 kg), though it is still very lightly built. This makes it rather fragile. The bird, as mentioned, is rather realistic, with a lot of effort put into its appearance, thanks to its user’s perfect memory and artistic abilities. It is covered with reddish-brown feathers, darker at the tail, save for a strip of white feathers, and head, with yellow hind legs and a slightly darker beak. Its talons are abnormally long, however, at about two inches. Shadow spent the time he was traveling over a course of three or four months also searching for materials he could use for his puppet. Though it represents an eagle, they are much harder to find and too majestic to hunt, so he used mostly hawk feathers, though the wings proved difficult to find the proper feathers and length. For the base of the puppet, he used a bamboo structure, since the reed was both durable and lightweight. It was given the same bone structure as a bird, for the most part, though the hollow cavity of the abdomen was also reinforced with bamboo. This cavity, as well as the ‘skull’, is utilized for mechanism compartments. The beak is made of animal bone, carved into the proper shape and painted. The feet are also made of bone, though jointed. They are the only obviously jointed area without inspecting the puppet closer. The talons are made with bladed steel. Shadow uses his tree climbing ability to climb to the highest branches of most trees, greatly extending his sight range and, therefore, range of the puppet’s control. He designed the puppet to be utilized as more of a scouting weapon than an offensive weapon, with mechanisms to help it get away in tight situations. It is also manually collapsible, where the head and legs contract into the body and the wings fold neatly against the back. This makes it easier and less awkward to transport.
Mechanism Summary • Senbon firing mechanism located in mouth; senbon soaked regularly in poison made from common ivy. It is rarely deadly, but coma as a result is possible. --2 posts – Difficulty Breathing --5 posts – Convulsions and Vomiting --10 posts – Paralysis --5 posts – Coma (50% chance per post until treatment is administered) --Roll 10-sided dice. Ink can also be dropped via mechanism for techniques such as Ink Projectiles, Sumi Gatsumi no Jutsu (Ink Haze Technique), and Sumi Ame no Jutsu (Ink Rain Technique). Dimensions: 3x3x3 inches. Stored in abdomen. • Smoke bombs to conceal escape. Can be dropped from compartment and holds up to 3. Stored in abdomen. • Eyes are cameras that allow Shadow to see through a headset what it sees. However, he is unable to see his own surroundings when using this. Used to scout out areas inconspicuously, unless chakra strings are visible to enemy (only a few clans are able to see chakra easily).
• Samajii Samajii is built purely for defense. What it lacks in physical attack it makes up for in defense against both physical and chakra based attack. The puppet stands 5 feet (152.4 cm) at the shoulders, and, were it to stand to full height on its hind legs, the bear would be 10 1/2 feet (320.04 cm) tall. The bear is made mostly of steel externally, though it is a little more fragile internally. So as to make it a little lighter, the bone structure is made of bamboo. Likewise, much of the head and limbs are, though both are reinforced with steel. The body is a steel shell hollowed out and large enough to fit one adult human somewhat comfortably. Claws and teeth are made of bladed steel. Covered in brown synthetic fur, hardly anything looks to be abnormal about the puppet, except for its size. However, like Kasai, it contains a chakra steel orb that absorbs chakra from Shadow. This allows the puppet to create a chakra shield, as well as a pulse to knock enemies off of their feet.
Mechanism Summary: • An orb of chakra steel at the heart of the puppet can store up to 100 chakra, as applied from Shadow. Can create a chakra shield with stored chakra. The rank of the is determined by the amount of chakra released (i.e. 5 chakra = E-rank up to 80 chakra = A-rank). • Can release a pulse of chakra to force anyone nearby away. Does not particularly do damage, but can knock someone off of their feet. Uses 10 stored chakra. • Reflectors on the points where the strings attach to the puppet attaches the strings likewise to either Shadow or another of his puppets. This allows him to move himself or a puppet instantaneously out of harm's way. • Reinforced cavity in abdomen allows a single adult to be held within. The container can hide the chakra signature of the person within. It can be used to hide an ally, including Shadow himself, or imprison an enemy. Army of One Discipline: • Large ink compartment in stomach. Used as emergency ink for larger Ukyo techniques. 9x9x6 inches. • Compartment at base of neck opens to a wire dispenser. Used to ensnare opponents and draw them closer. Holds up to one hundred feet of wire. • Hydraulics in limbs allow for increased agility and speed despite weight of puppet.
Feeling the satisfying 'pop' Jae turned to look for the other members of UHV but witnessed their demise at the hands of Shadow and another shinobi . Jae felt a slight sense of irritation. She had wanted to continue beating the snot out of these people but had her moment cut drastically short. Shadows tip of information did not go unheard, Jae looking up to where he was standing on the platform. His small form retreated then, as he headed off to gods knew where. Jae shifted slightly, as if to follow but spotted the body of the UHV member she had sent to hell...for the duration of this period of the time lapses. Clenching her fist she tried to calm the resurfacing anger that swept through her. She wanted nothing more than to end every single person in that group but knew it was a feat. she could not do on her own.
Glancing at the Uchiha warily she watched him for a moment before deciding she was not up to conversing with Uchiha but suspected he was of this village. The last Uchiha she had met had thrown her into a metal wall and he too worked for the UHV. "I am going to find Sypher now. If the UHV are here and he doesn't know things could get bad." Jae was clearly puzzled. This felt like one really, really, really long day. These resets were screwing with her sense of time. If time was being reset it probably meant that these assholes had gotten into the village just when all of this crap had started but... Something didn't feel right about her logic. This was too difficult for her to process.
Briefly meeting the gaze of the Uchiha she readied her chain and flung it to the railing above her. Pulling and swinging her body up to the top tier she retracted her blade, coiled her chain and slipped it into the holster at her side. Time to find Sypher...
The kick was a success, Ryou kicked off the ground and into the air ready to perform a skill from the Hachimon Style, but the girl did something strange, she took off the canister and kicked it off, it flew off into the wide open area of the prison. The detonation, threw him off and Ryou landed off target, he ran back up to the girl who had the canister and his Sharingan began to spin as he began to perform a skill off memory... Ryou's eye's watched the battles transpire, and he looked down to his hands. He saw the flow of his chakra, and he changed his Chakra's type to Genjutsu, his palms flowed with the illusionary chakra, and he looked ahead to the lady who was fighting the concussive blast, Ryou was moving at a velocity he didn't need to worry, his 'Clarity' helped him greatly to evade and dodge debris if there was any to begin with. As he approached the lady, he braced his legs and skidded to a stop right back beside her. His hands performed a string of seven handsigns in perfect unison Ox, Snake, Rat, Hare, Dragon, Rat, Tiger... He had a big grin on his face and his hands were open as he reached out and grabbed the woman lulling her to sleep with the jutsu he'd performed, the genjutsu seeped in through his chakra in his palms and brought her to a deep slumber. Nemuri was a complex genjutsu, and Ryou knew what it was worth if induced in the correct fashion, he grabbed at her forehead and face. Nemuri [ Sleep ] - Learned
Ryou's gates shut down and he felt the fatigue hit him, as the days began to change arond him again... what time was it... it was might, than day... now it was night again! Ryou's head began to spin as he heard the yell of his ever silent teammate, Shadow. Defeating them lowered the tide? Ryou's head began to spin and he knew enough was enough, he needed to see the kage. Shadow took off and Ryou's sharingan deactivated, he was overheating from going to the third gate, and he was short of breath, his muscles hurt in every way! He'd been going on for who know's how many days now... But now, with two people as prisoners, maybe they could get some answers.
The pink haired girl spoke to Ryou, his mind snapped into concous thought as she spoke and he looked towards her. She was going to find Sypher, she spoke of the UHV and Ryou's eye's widened... this was worse than he thought... Looking to the girl asleep in front of him, he knew what he had to do. "Tell him to bring reinforcements here! I need to analyze them... Even if it's going to get crazy here again." Ryou' simple Patrol had definitely fallen onto something mysterious... he had to investigate.
After some time, Ryou left what he was doing and went on to finish his patrol for god sake. [/exit]
