Built Riddle a new ramp for the couch. :)

I'm so proud. I've never built anything before! I literally had to buy a drill, screws, and a saw along with the lumber, haha.

My lumber:


I this is a strip of wood to help secure the bottom support of the ramp. I glued it into place so that when I screwed it on, I could do it from the top of the ramp and not have screws poking up through the wood where she would walk.


Placing the support against the strip before I screw it together:


Once that was done I screwed on two more strips on the top of the ramp, to keep her from slipping down it:


Then cut up a doormat I bought, glued it on, and presto, I had a ramp!




Not counting the drill and saw, the supplies to make this ramp cost me about $20. smile

That's a pretty sweet ramp, and probably much cheaper than if you'd bought one already made, or a kit. The tools will most likely come in handy down the line. I can't tell you how many times I've needed a drill and a saw, and not had either. It happens a lot though.

Yea Savage! Congratulations on your first build mrgreen It looks good. Has she tried it yet? It looks nice and sturdy too, should have no problem supporting Riddles weight.

How's her leg doing? Any word on if it's a partial or full tear?

She likes it. smile She's really lazy, so she thinks its awesome to not have to jump up and down.

We're still waiting on our vet appointment next week to get the verdict on her knee.
