Rules and Info

    General Rules
  • Be respectful
  • If you have a plot that will affect the whole Guild and not just individuals, please do post it so that everyone will be in the know! I do not want 'surprise attacks' on the herd.
  • No Openly evil Characters can be a member of the herd or stay as a visitor of the herd for an entire visit, though a quick fling could be plotted for those who just see it as an easy way to fool around harmlessly (And don't wish to ruin their opportunity to get pampered and sleep around by revealing their true nature), or while a mare is beyond the boarders.

    Basic herd info

  • Male Visitors often can stay for two weeks in a row (1 month total per year) before being requested to leave. Cooldown between visits is 9 months. The injured/those in need of healing are kept as long as needed to recover in the Healers Camp.

If taken as a day every other week, they can visit regularly without issue.

Female Visitors can remain as long as they want as long as they follow the rules and have their children are raised in the Phoenix Maiden way, and that Sons must leave once they reach an old enough point of development (Though they may join the Phoenix Maiden's "Mirror" on the other side of the valley, where males in romantic relationships with mares of the Herd, that like the idea and wish to do the same where there is a market for it, and Unadopted Sons of the Herd run a Similar Spa.)

  • All Members are Female (Either in body or spirit), or young colts who are eventually set off on their own or adopted to other herds. DMAB (Designated Male at birth) Mares are welcome as full members, though non-binary/genderqueer/agender individuals are on a case by case basis and often with special rules. Some members Breed doesn't matter: Some members are hippogryphs, some are Usdia, and good natured Charmed Skinwalkers would be welcomed.

DFAB Stallions can only be temporary guests, but if they find themselves with child they are allowed to request sanctuary and assistance during their pregnancy and the education of their children if they're willing to work. (But are not permitted in the House of Rebirth. Female children would be allowed to join them in the main areas like their male offspring however.)
  • ANY breed (excluding UNCHARMED skinwalkers) are welcome! This includes minis, mers, Charmed good natured skinwalkers, and familiars!
  • Female children born to the guild must be part of the Guild at Adulthood at first (but CAN be hired out to other herds as body guards/entertainment once adult and send their daughters home to be taught the same skills OR to be taught in their new home and remain a member without ever living in the valley again, OR can retire from the guild)

  • Mares do not lifemate Canonly/within the eyes of the maidens/their mates cannot be part of the guild. However they CAN be Non-canonly lifemated (aka: breeding agreement style) and have a preferred stallion 'boyfriend/mate who lives outside of the herd they can visit regularly (This allows mated mares to live within the guild to learn skills to take elsewhere to set up their own 'house') Or be hired out and have a mate outside of the maidens, but it is tradition to send ones daughters back to the guild for training.

  • While roughly inspired by the Companion's Guild of the Firefly series. (go browncoats!), they are primarily a Spa and Retreat/Resort, but members also trained in various arts, including martial arts and combat, as well as Singing, dance, art, culinary arts etc, depending on interest and skill.
  • Some members of the herd can opt to simply be 'breeders' and have no other skill than seducing stallions wearing the "Open to advances from Mares" Necklaces worn by guests while at the spa (or working with the midwives) and letting their children be raised by the herd.

  • THEY DO NOT CAPTURE STALLIONS, nor do they force themselves on them. Males are more than free to come or go or stick to the neighboring territories between visits. (I have had several people state they dont have mares that would fit because "they couldn't capture males" or males that would fit cause "They wouldnt do well being unable to leave". This is NOT The Flock OR The Hatetalons, despite being a female dominated society. Instead, they entertain individuals as a Spa, resort, and sort of vacation destination.

  • Have a Son who's biological father was not interested in Adopting them, but you don't wish to send off on their own or join the Phoenix Valley Male Camp? Yectenehua And the White Leaf Tea herd both accept boys from them to join their numbers, and both members of families that will adopt any child that wishes to be adopted, or if they wish to NOT be adopted but be an independent member of the herd, they will tend to their needs as a group and give them protection and guidance as Guardians, and friends to their offspring (and being allowed to develop romantic relationships with their offspring without it being sibling-y but more friends in the same herd).

The Phoenix Maiden's Guild

After the cataclysm that separated her from the Flock and led her to believe that they had all been killed off, The petite dancer Izulai had moved to the Western Hotsprings to start a different sort of Flock of her own after being nursed back to health by a kindly, if quiet Knight who sired two children with which to start again.

There she founded the Phoenix Maiden's Guild: A herd where Mares come to learn medicine, arts, dance, song, battle, and seduction, and sometimes hiring themselves out to herds as body guards or entertainers. Their daughters are raised with care and kept a secret from their fathers, and boys are raised in the more public areas before being sent out into the world on their own.

Adult males are invited in, only allowed to visit certain areas for a few weeks to rest their bones and get treated to a life of luxury for a few weeks, before being requested to leave for at least Nine months before stopping for another visit.

Females are kept a secret from their father, and raised to become members of the guild, some being hired by other herds to act as body guards, entertainers, artisans and other things, Some staying home to Continue their schooling and to carefully select males to breed with while out in other herds OR stay home and choose to invite those who come to relax and have a little fun at the hot springs with the ladies of the guild for a slightly more intimate time.

Males are sent away from the Flock after a few weeks of 'fun' and are forbidden to return again for nine months. If they return and have any sons, they are given the option to take their son with them (Daughters are kept away from the fathers and 'do not exist' as far as he knows.). Should he choose to keep them, the way they are raised belongs to him.

However, should the father decide to let them care for the colt or simply never returns, the colt is trained for a year and a half to be a welcoming, open minded foal, then sent off to find their own territory, forbidden to return to the flock, or given to a passing herd to take care of..

Basic info

The Phoenix Maidens "Flock" has three Co-founders. While Izulai acts as the head and Queen, and is the one who had the visions to help grow and protect the valley (Which had before been mostly unoccupied save for a flock of Phoenicondors (who are welcome regardless of sex or gender as their symbol), and some usdia and familiars that had been experiencing some predation from a skinwalker that the mare faced in combat and killed when they came for the annual 'sacrifices' of those who lived there, securing the territory for the few surviving usdia mares and familiars and her daughters), the other two are her commanders and confidants, and keep her level and modest. In addition, she's in a quasiplatonic relationship with Grace, often mistaken for a romantic couple.

Founder, Oracle, And Queen: Izulai -- Mutant Hippogryph
Co-founder, ambassador, Magical Healer: Grace Warmheart - Half Minicorn
Co-founder, Medicinal Healer, Head Midwife: Keyah - Raccoon

Totem: A Necklace with turquoise and Obsidian Beads, a Pyrite Sun (or a thin actual gold "Sun" for most members as only the three leaders get an actual pyrite sun: Pyrite suns are incredibly rare, so this is a place where the Fool's Gold Version is more valuable than Gold) with a Smoked Quartz bird and two long colorful feathers for a pendant. "Priestesses" each receive one of these Necklaces and will often display them in their personal camps or, if they open up a spot outside of the territory, their "House"..

Membership

Almost all Races and Breeds are welcome and considered equal. This includes Usdia breeds, Mers, Seathi, and Familiars This does NOT include Uncharmed skinwalkers. This is NOT A Hippogryph dominated herd! SERIOUSLY: Don't say you can't enter just because you lack a hippogryph or 'harpy': I REALLY want some of the earliest members to be minis

Only Females can be Members (Transgendered Mares (Designated Male at Birth - DMAB for short) are considered female and can join as full members)

Stallions are only temporary visitors, though maidens with a favorite stallion can meet them outside of the territory and welcome them every 9 months.

House of Rebirth

This is where Female children are raised to adulthood without outsider interaction -- only members of the herd are allowed within this boundary. This is the center of schooling, teaching of the many skills a phoenix maiden must have. Young stallions born to the herd are also raised here, but they are allowed to venture beyond the border into the rest of the group: Most outsider stallions will only see young colts, often helping their mothers and socializing with outsiders.

Adoption and Surrogation.

If the father turns down their son or never returns, and the child gets along with an outside mare or stallion who has come for a small vacation, they will often have the chance to adopt. Because of this, many couples of atypical pairings come to the maidens to find children to adopt, or even create an agreement with members of the herd to do a doubly beneficial surrogation: The maiden carries the child and gets to keep any mares, while the father gets to keep any stallions.

Abandoned fillies, meanwhile, if found by a phoenix maiden, will be raised up as if born to the guild.

Boys receive training for a year and a half if their father does not adopt them, before being adopted into another herd or, paired with a temporary guardian, sent out to the world to create their own lot in life or looking for herds to adopt. Due to alliances with the White Leaf herd, Yectenehua, and The Hosts of Phoenix valley, (and an open trade with the Amachi Traders of the Badieh Badawie territories) often times the children are also given the choice to join one of the two herds instead if they desire it: they can either choose to be adopted or to join as individual members with their guardian.

The Flock

This herd CANNOT have knowledge of The Flock having survived (At least not yet)! So please, if your backstory is as a Flock Member, the mare has to have been separated from it from the "cataclysm' and think the majority of it had been killed off as well.

Territory
Phoenix Valley: Over 60 Square miles

(click for bigger)

With a Personal territory of approximately 50 Square miles and 10 of it restricted only to female members of the Herd (though they are often found beyond their territory's borders), The Phoenix maidens territory is rich with resources and beauty. Rich soil allows food to be plentiful, and flowers are abundant in this land. A Plethora of butterflies, colorful birds, and even a small collection of Long Tailed Condors resembling Phoenixes and Peacocks live in the valley. materials useful for trade and arts are plentiful, such as Iron Pyrite (Or "Spirits Fire" rock. Those who seek gold are often fools to seek the material, but those who know its secrets know its much more precious and useful), Gold, Obsidian, and Various types of Quartz, though it is most rich in Clear and Smoky Quartz. But what they are richest in is hotsprings.

Some of the springs are so hot that they can be used to cook out of, but many are perfect for bathing in, allowing individuals to relax in the warm water and soak out the aches and pains in their bodies.

Using the gifts naturally given to them by the location, the Phoenix Maidens welcome all kinds to come and relax for short periods of time with special treatments meant to heal and rejuvenate.

Beyond the territory, males who used to be members are welcome to set up shop on the opposite valley, and sometimes stallions who regular, patiently waiting out the nine month cooldown require between visits to return to meet their favorite maiden or maidens often live with a peaceful and low stress lifestyle.

All mares, regardless of Race or breed Breeds (excluding skinwalkers), Are welcome to join the maidens permanently, taught their ways of art, dance, fight, and healing.

And, should your herd require entertainment for a celebration, or to a bodyguard to protect them from bandits, many mares can be hired to fill the niche.

Welcome to Phoenix Valley

Culture and professions

Culture

The Phoenix Maiden Flock is first and foremost a place of healing and relaxation for those who visit, and of socialization and service for those who live there... Everything is centered around Birth (the bringing of New Life) and Rebirth (The restoration of Old). This is often done by mares choosing willing guests to help sire them children (For Birth) and healing the sick and wounded. While permanent members all identify as female. Physical relationships are supposed to be fleeting, or at least open, and romantic ones tend to be kept within the herd* (Or in occasional visitations: Some members of the herd might have stallions that live on the other side of the valley they visit regularly). Children are raised within the herd. All Breed, excluding skinwalkers, are welcome: From The smallest mouse to the mightiest of draft mares.

They are led by an acting Oracle Queen, Izulai, a Mare once born of the Flock: Traumatized by the loss of life in the great Cataclysm that took her previous home, she has remade her old herd in a gentler, more sustainable image. As she had been a dancer and priestess in training before the cataclysm, the phoenix maidens are a place of Arts, Beauty, and sensuality inviting guests in. Mares with skill and no connections are often invited to join, even if for a while, and do not have to leave unless they refuse to pay for their additional services (such as prepaired foods) in either work or items (or by letting their children be raised as maidens), and males are tended to with special attentions if they are willing sires, but limited to how long they can stay, only allowed to stay up to a month and allowed back only after 9 months have past since then.

*note: As DMAB Mares are allowed to be fully fledged phoenix maidens, sometimes romantic relationships within the herd are capable of being 'productive' and providing children if the breeds are compatible. However, breed isn't closed off, so an Usdia mare with a Mer mare, or an Usdia with a fullsize mare is not unheard of.

Professions

Queen

Leader and head of the group. Often steps in to solve issues, and acts as acts as spiritual leader as well literal leader.. Otherwise just takes care of VIP guests and Teaches. There is only one Queen, and she lives in the actual phoenix maiden territory.

Head Ambassador
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
The Head Ambassador's main job is greeting the leaders of other herds wishing to ally themselves with the Phoenix maidens or simply wish to go to the resort with their entire herd, or to go and visit their allied herds with a body guard.

Limited positions
Usually higher ranked members fill these positions and it has to make sense that the character has the job canonly.

Priestesses
Fully trained members of the guild who lead and teach less experienced members, and run their own cave/retreat area (aka "Camp") And manages the maidens helping entertain guests, and Manages communication with the other camps. Basically managers.

Healers
These are members who devote themselves completely to the healing arts. While all mares are taught basic first aid, healers learn more complex remedies and treatments, and most healers live together in the same camp, but one is often within 5 miles of any given location within the guild at a time to offer assistance in emergencies.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Rotated positions
Unless they a mare has little to no skill or capability in a trait, almost every mare spends time doing one of these jobs at some point.

Guards/warriors
While all mares are taught combat, those who have special skill on it act as bodyguards to prevent rowdy customers from trying to steal from the guild or bully maidens or patrons and boot them out as Bouncers There are usually two mares actively acting as Guards per Camp working directly under the Priestesses at a time and they often rotate out so there is always one on duty. When acting as a guard, mares often wear padded leather armor and is forbidden to wear the marks that say they are open for offers to fool around when on duty.

Entertainers
Individuals who can either play instruments (even if its shaking a chain of bells from ones mouth or plucking away at something more complex) or sing will often act as musicans. Those who can dance or even perform martial arts with an artistic flair can 'dance' for the entertainment of others

Artisans and merchants
Those who can create materials can opt to focus on their traits for most of their time, as well as trade with visiting individuals for other materials. Commissions for things specifically for the herd is common as well, the Queen actively visiting regularly to get decorations, tools, luxuries, instruments, weapons and other goodies made for new members.

Teachers/Nursery
All children are raised and taught by the community.. Some teachers stay with the female children to teach them away from the male visitors (Mares do not usually meet their fathers except in special, controlled situations where an agreement had been made before hand to create an alliance with other herds where part of the agreement involves controlled visits.) and the boys are taught and raised out in public. Because of this, every member that is able to can teach and take turns teaching, and mothers who aren't very good at it can opt to not raise their own children.

Guides
Guides are often the first hostess a new guest meets, and show them the public areas and guide them through the rules of the territory, as well explain the activities and indulgences available to them, and what they cost, if anything. If someone is looking for something in particular, they will lead them to the Priestess who has the best pickings of that type (Such as if the Camp they lead is known for their musicians, for their warriors, or for a talent in physical therapy.)

Uncommon positions

Non-Member Residents
Sometimes frequently called Long-term Guests, these are Females that wish to enjoy the protection, luxury, and assistance of the Phoenix Maidens, and perhaps the easy pickings of a rotating assortment of males (or even willing mares) are individuals who don't learn to act as maidens themselves. They're pretty much resort guests who moved in permanently without becoming part of the herd officially, allowing the mares to raise their daughters and have sons get their education at the Hosts across the valley. They may frequently visit the stallions in the neutral middle valley

The Hosts of West Phoenix Valley
The Phoenix Stallions

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Across the valley, another herd has formed, from the Males who either love a maiden, wish to follow a similar lifestyle they have, or were not adopted out and have instead settled down on the opposite side of the valley.

They call themselves the "Hosts of West Phoenix Valley", though a common nickname for them are the Phoenix Stallions. Like the mares, they only allow stallions to join their number permanently (Including DFAB Stallions), and provide many of the same services that the mares provide. Together with the mares, they keep the center, neutral part of the valley a safe place for those who wish to hunt for game, camp, and graze outside of the resort areas, and help farm the northern reaches of it for both "herds". They share a near identical "Totem", but instead of a Pyrite sun, they have a Silver Crescent moon, to emphasize their similarity and unity with the Phoenix Maidens, while also the fact they are opposite sides of the coin.

Currently, they are temporarily lead by a "King" who's not a full time member and hoping to help them set up and train a proper king before stepping down and becoming a priest: Onslow Amachi, son of the Izulai and Fallow Amachi.

He owns and runs his own miniature resort in the badlands, but after hearing from his mother (who keeps in contact with him and his father) about the stallions across the valley not knowing quite what to do with themselves while waiting for their time to return to the maidens, he stepped in and helped organize and train them, and to try and find a stallion to take over as King of the Phoenix Stallions.

Because of this, even when he steps down as king and returns to his bathhouse permanently, he will remain an honorary Priest (Sub-leader) of the Phoenix Stallions. Future King and Priests will be listed here once there are some, and more information will be rendered, but for the most part they're identical to the Maidens, just male Hosts instead.

Due to the fact most of them are Sires rather than bearers, they don't usually have to adopt out their kids. However for the few stallions who are Biologically child bearing (Such as DFAB Stallions or CisStallion Seathi), in the odd chance that they become pregnant, they will often send the daughters over to the maidens for training, and keep the sons to be trained. Many times a Maiden and a Sire have a child, they will easily pass the two over to the other side for training, and allow their kids to visit regularly on both sides.

More info on the Hosts of Phoenix Valley herd

How are new members created?
The Hosts are dependent on sons from the phoenix maidens, adoption of boys, new recruits from individuals who joined, and the occasional DFAB Host's pregnancies.

Services both Hosts and Maidens Provide

First and foremost, Both the Phoenix Maidens and the Hosts of Phoenix Valley are herds focused on the services they can provide for other herds and individuals who are not their members, acting as a sort of Getaway luxury retreat, as well as a hiring agency for various things.

Free Services

Like it says on the tin, these costs are included with the standard free resort visit.

Note: Not all members are Soquili, so where Mare-Filly/Stallion-Colt is used, you can use the female/male words for that familiars species. Example: If a Member is a Ferret Replace Mares with Jills and Stallions with Hobs

Protection While In Territory/surrounding territory:
----- Locations: In herd
Many members of both herds are trained in combat as well as peaceful conflict resolution skills. Fights are quickly and peacefully broken up, and threats are quickly handled with when discovered. They avoid prejudice based on simple race, but things such as Charmed Skinwalkers or Lone Kalona are kept an eye on should they enter the territory and, if they have no one to vouch for their behavior, kept to certain parts of the retreat as to not endanger other Guests.

Basic Shelter:
----- Locations: In herd
While shelter is not usually a big important thing for soquili or Familiars, during inclement weather, all guests are provided optional shelters within the territory to weather it out or keep the experience pleasurable. Things such as weather proofed leather tents or access to Open communal structural dwellings for Rain, snow, or events, or simple sideless canopy tents, pergolas, Patio umbrella-like shades, or false fabric roof stretched between trees for shade in intense sun, heat, or simple lounging. These areas are either communal or first come first serve and can be crowded at times.

Standard Hot spring soaks:
----- Locations: In herd
The natural hot springs that litter Phoenix valley (And other valleys in the Hotspring Mountains and the general surrounding area) are open for regular use, though rules are set for the ones within the actual valley,Such as no spoiling the water with one's waste. Different springs host different sorts of benefits. Some smell of sulfur, while others are simply warm-to-hot water. Some of the springs are too hot immediately for standard use, (only some types of mer with full body scaling and the ability to slither over land, such as the Flamewalker Healer can tolerate the temperatures for any length of time) And are thus off limits to guests, clearly marked. The Hosts and Maidens have their own uses for them.

Comfortable bedding/sleeping arrangements:
----- Locations: In herd
General communal resting areas often have some simple cushions and pillows set up so groups and individuals who wish to lie down to rest can do so in relative comfort.

Basic Foods:
----- Locations: In herd
Grazing is free, and there are feeding stations around in a sort of buffet style with hay, oats, fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish are provided for those. Guests are offered flat bottomed broad bags in which to put their selection into that they could carry it to a proper place to eat out of the way before going for seconds, or simply eat out of like a feed bag.

Basic Beverages:
----- Locations: In herd
Fresh, icecold spring water is provided to keep guests cool, and a simple Juice, caffeinated tea, and a basic non-caffeinated herbal tea of the week is provided for no additional cost.

Medical Treatment:
----- Locations: In herd
Injured or ill guests are treated well and are not limited in time they can stay as they are treated and recover.. Those with sicknesses that are contagious are given private stalls away from the rest of the community and treated with a dedicated staff so they can rest and recover without infecting others. Mares that go into labor automatically will get Midwife treatments, breeding assistance, and post natal care, regardless of if they're a member of the Guild.

Basic Public Entertainment:
----- Locations: In herd
Live music, dancers, and story tellers frequently wander the resort, entertaining all nearby. On Some nights, bonfire parties are hosted.

Adoption:
----- Locations: In and out of herd
Any CisMares born to the Hosts or CisColts born to the Maidens who identify as their Designated birth are often open for adoption if their biological Sire is not interested in adopting.

Studs/Dams:
----- Locations: In and out of herd
As they are both herds who's members consist of only one gender (though some exceptions exist with gender queer individuals depending on their preference of living situation), most reproductive activity happens with those who are not members of their own herds. Many single mares who still want children can either go to the maidens and adopt a son (Or, if they don't want a child and swing that way, find a maiden who's interested for just some fun), or if they wish to have biological children or just some fun they could choose to go to the Hosts and have some fun flings focused on giving her a good time with any interested stallion. Stallions can go to the hosts for some fun (or, if they want a daughter, find a DFAB Stallion who's willing to bare his daughters), but if they wish to have a son, they can find a willing mare or even mares to bare his children until he gets a son.

Paid Services

Not everything at the resort is Inclusive. However, payments are flexible: Gemstones, crafts, basic goods, Physical Work, Trading services, bartering of materials, etc. An attractive Single stallion (or mare, if a maiden takes a fancy to her and they're both open to it) open for Fooling around with an interested Maiden can get much more of an more inclusive experience for the nights he spends with her for example, OR they could do a full day of work that doesn't count against their time there, and get a couple days of more inclusive Resort stay.

Some items require physical pay however, as they are Individually Driven.

The VIP Area:
----- Locations: In herd
----- Herd or Individually Run: Herd

At the resort, there is a special VIP area in the herd territories that only allows limited numbers of Guests in at a Time. They get All the Herd Run services for no additional cost, typically with vouchers for the more labor intensive luxuries, such as massages and full spa treatments.

Luxury shelters:
----- Locations: In herd
----- Herd or Individually Run: Herd

For extra pay, guests can get private "rooms" or "Suites", either in specially set up caves, permanent earthen shelters, yurts, or large tents.

The Standard Room involves a thick woven reed mat to keep moisture from seeping up into sleeping area, a soft rug, pillows, some lanterns, a table, and a few baskets for putting personal belongings into in a room that can bed two or three fullsized soquili comfortably in a single Moroccan style tent/earthen style dwelling, or a single cave branch offshoot.

Suites are often multiple tents with multiple rooms set up: The number depending on how fancy of a suite you request.

The "Q" suite is the largest and fanciest style of suites, set at a customized location that fits the needs of the renter and Set up custom each time using tents and canopies, consisting of a ring of tents with a large central tent from which all the other tents are accessed and an entry hall tent (shaped much like a Q), with the Standard sized rooms customized to the owners requests into bedrooms, private lounges, private breakfast nooks, storage rooms, etc. The large central tent is often used for hosting private parties, a meeting hall, or as a lounge area.

The Smallest style of Q Suite, the Sun Ray suite consists of 8 Standard sized rooms, a hallway tent, and the smallest of the large canopy rooms. The Eight Standard Sized Tents alone can comfortably host 16 fullsize soquili if they room two to a room (24 if three) , and then some if they also sleep in the main tent, thus capable of housing 32 full sized soquili safely, though not as comfortably. The standard size of party for this suite is 8-16 actual members resting there during their stay with a party of 18-26 total in the suite at a time with 2-10 of them being Maidens/Hosts.

The Largest example of the Q Suite, the Grand Herd Suite, consists of 15 Standard room sized tents, Two Hallway tents, and the largest of the potential canopies. Frequently Asked Questions

About the Both

Q: I don't own a hippogryph/Don't want my male/female to be captured/Don't like being super isolated
-------

A: Well good, cause neither herd is restricted in such a way: As stated, any breed can join, it's pretty open to external herds and travel, and no one gets captured. Permanent members are only limited by their Gender identity (not even their Biological Sex), and visitors can be ANYTHING, from seathi and mers to Usdia and soquili of any breed. The only exception is Uncharmed Walkers or Evil members.

And you don't even need to join to interact with this setting!

Q: I rp my soquili as being Intersex/Non-binary. What herd can they join?
-------

A: The intersex one depends on their gender identity. If their Identity matches their biological sex (which is to say, Male And Female), it'll be like a Non-Binary gendered soquili of a single biological sex: They can join both fully, Choose the one they wish to be a member of most, or join the Twilight Wanderers: a small herd that travels to and from the two herds and helps protect the neutral lands. They have smaller camps throughout the valley and the pass leading to it, and tend to host smaller amounts, being a herd consisting of several separate parties that gather together on special occasions.

Q: I don't have a single pony to breed with them, all my ponies are lifemated/have too many breedings lined up.
-------

A: This isn't exactly just a singles mixer or a place for "Getting some Strange": This is a resort and spa, a sort of Vacation spot. If you want, you could RP in this setting without Rping with a single member of the herd and just use NPC's for some nice quiet time with a loved one one on one or with your whole family.

Q: How much for a ride? Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?
A: They aren't hookers. It's all consensual and based on wants and desires. However, individuals may use it as a bartering system... However it's usually the Maidens/hosts that are offering benefits to the individual that catches their interest as part of the exchange rather than the other way around.

Twilight Wanderers

In the middle of the valley and through the entry pass, those who are not members of either herd gather and wander in co-gendered camps. Some follow the ways of the hosts and maidens, forming small little bed-and-breakfast like way stations and single or double occupancy stables. Others just are groups of friends wandering about in the now pleasant Phoenix valley. Some act as messengers between the Maiden's, Hosts, and their Allied Herds.

Over all, if you form a small herd within the Phoenix Valley, you're part of the Twilight Wanderers: Travelers from Dusk to Dawn, Between the Sun and The Moon.

Allied Herds

Allied herd members, if they can verify their membership to the herds, are automatically given the VIP Treatment, and any member of the gender of the herd they are visiting (Maidens or Hosts) Or the Leaders of the herd may even enter Maiden/Host restricted areas.

Yectenehua - Lead by Ikinya and Cuauhcoatl, this herd is for the kind hearted 'outcasts' of the lands: Mixed breeds and mutants with hearts of gold but stereotyped by outsiders into being 'wicked' even though they wouldn't wish harm on anyone, Same sex and mixed-Base couples, and any allies they may share. Males unwanted by their fathers from the maidens have the option of going here to be adopted OR simply join as their own members. (Females born to DFAB Hosts unwanted by their sires would also have the same options)

White Leaf Herd - Lead by Jase and Eventide, One of their neighboring herds outside of the valley. Tea growers and makers. Males born to the maidens unwanted by their fathers from the maidens have the option of going here to be adopted OR simply join as their own members. (Females born to DFAB Hosts unwanted by their sires would also have the same options)

The Amachi Traders - Lead by Fallo Amachi, this is the most distant clan the Maidens and Stallions are currently allied with. Only winged members from this desert/badlands based herd of traders are able to travel to these flocks with ease. They trade goods to one another regularly. Incenses and gems for fresh fruits and vegetables for example.

Knights of the Misty Woods - Lead by Singeri, this is a fairly small herd that teaches the art of Knighthood, who helped Izulai out during a time where she was gravely ill after the Cataclysm that took her from the Flock and left her feeling as if she was the only survivor. One of her sons is a member, and the knights help with educating members. Some members of the Maidens AND the stallions are co-members with this herd, Helping teach the skills of the honorable warrior.

Enemies of the Phoenix Maidens and Phoenix Stallions

Northspring Harpies (Hatetalons) - These are enemies of The Flock, and thus considered Enemies of the Maidens and the Hosts. However, being so far away and out of the loop from The Flock, it is possible for Northspring harpies to come under one of their assumed flock names to use their services like any other herd or individual: Only certain members, such as the Queen of the Hatetalons, would actually be recognized by Izulai.

Enigma of the Phoenix Maidens and Phoenix Stallions

The Flock: the Flock is the root ancestry of these flocks, but they believe that they are dead. Should they be reintroduced to them, they may end up being the Only Official Ally of the Flock and outside trade post, but for now the existence of the Flock continuing is unknown to the members of Phoenix Valley. UPDATE: While OOCly we don't have many members, I think ICly to have gotten so big to have an offshoot flock of the stallions forming up, this is a small herd but still settled enough that I'm open to it being discovered by the flock and open connections to them as a potential trading post for The Flock with the Maidens as a Mediator!
