I'm 250 lbs, give or take some. Im fat, and I know it. But I really want to play volleyball. I'm best friends with my school's teams and the coach, but nobody knows my secret wish. I fear that if I try and learn how to really play that I'll one- Be made fun of because I don't know how to play yet, and 2- Im fat, and I'd have to wear spandex so Im afraid I'd get made fun of.
Im really interested in learning how to get better and get in shape, but I don't want to start... I'm extremely body-conscious. So... should I just go for it?

If it's something you enjoy, you should really go for it! Here are some tips I use to keep myself trim: -Whenever I watch TV, I do crunches/push ups/weight training. Sometimes I'll walk in place. -Whenever I feel ready to binge, I go to the gym. Working out decreases my desire to binge. -DDR is a great way to get in shape. -If you find a buddy to work out with, getting in shape is much easier. I have a Zumba buddy, a Yoga buddy, and a running buddy. I used to play volleyball. It's really fun. Besides, who cares what other people say about you? So long as you're you, who cares what they think?

Forget the critics. No matter where you go, they'll always be there. Don't let anyone's words bring you down. If you like volleyball, go for it! It's awesome c: I play it. However it can hurt my hands quite a lot sweatdrop Especially the wrists. Ohgod don't get me started on the pain.
