Into the fires of battle!
Wuflric Von Shadowfang
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
After hours of being out cold, Wulfric suddenly woke up and sat up quickly before he was looking around to see that he was in Blade’s room, how did he end up here? Looking down he saw that he’d been patched up though at this point most of the more superficial cuts would have healed with some of the deeper ones still needing a little time, but overall, his strength had recovered after resting. Getting out of bed he walked into the living room and saw Blade there her eyes clear to tell what was on her mind and though the wolf hadn’t released his control it was clear that he’d have to deal with an issue that was bothering her, and simply stepped over to her and offered a hand to her, when she hesitated he lightly growled before he took her hand and pulled her out of her chair and into his arms, and hugged her lovingly, the wolf had no intention of letting her dwell on what happened and though her cat might have been the cause of his injuries or for that matter that it was upset, he wouldn’t let go simply because he’d been shredded. Eventually the Wolf released her from his hug and knelt down in front of her and simply cocked his head slightly as he looked into her eyes and whined slightly clearly concerned about her more than himself before it reached over to her and started looking her over for injuries his touch gentle and loving, but being a bit straightforward about checking every inch of her since he remembered that she’d been hurt when he checked her at the poacher camp. Once he was sure that she was alright he leaned forward and wrapped his arms around her waist as he moved his head to her shoulder and nuzzled her a bit though sighing slightly as he held onto her clearly not wanting to lose her. Though one thing was clear he’d be making a trip to that camp to deal with any further intruders that might be lingering, though first he focused on Blade and wasn’t about to walk away to deal with the poacher camp until he knew she was alright.

Blade gave in and let him hold her then let her clothes, and her scent, hide her injuries from him. It was surprisingly easy for her to hide those injuries thanks to his concern for her mental state.
She finally pulled back and looked at him for a moment, then gave a heavy sigh, "I told you I was dangerous... You got hurt more by my cat than the damned poachers..." she said softly, clearly feeling bad about the whole thing.
She shook her head slightly, "I told you she wasn't tamed, that she'd be difficult..." she added, clearly upset over the fact that her cat was so dangerous. She hated that she'd hurt him as bad as she had and was clearly thinking that isolating herself even more was the best answer. In truth, she needed to have her cat taken care of in a way that it would simply give in to him without question.
She just couldn't help but worry if he was up to that one. Not because of him. Because of just how dangerous her cat was. She knew full well that she could have killed him if even one of the claw marks had gone a hair deeper...

Blade shook her head at what he was trying to get at, "I already made the arrangements. The camp will be dismantled, bodies burned, and pelts sent to the leathersmith. It's bad enough that they were hunted like that, but they won't go to waste," she told him firmly then moved out of his lap determinedly this time.
She knew he'd figured out one of her injuries that she was hiding but didn't want him to find the rest. At least, not until they fully healed and there wasn't anything he could do about it. Not that she could get away with it this time... At least one of the bullet wounds was still peppered with silver flakes, as were two of the knife wounds. She'd get some silver fever, but she'd dealt with worse so she ignored the problem.
"You were out for several hours. I took care of the hunt, and made the arrangements for the camp. There are also a few other things waiting for you when you shift over," she added, clearly determined to be just as stubborn as her cat...
She moved over to return his dagger then stepped out of his reach again, "Go ahead and eat. You need the protein to heal. I already ate. Once you've eaten, you can wash the rest of the blood off and get some more rest," she offered, clearly ignoring the elephants in the room. Namely, her injuries, her cat's attitude, and the fact that she still thought that she was going to wind up getting him killed...

Blade actually jumped at the bark and watched as he showed his insistence on the issue. She finally took in a deep breath and shook her head slightly, "Fine... We'll go look... But I'm not giving my cat another chance to attack you, so I"ll be doing it in either wolf form or this one. Deal with it," she growled at him and moved into the bedroom to collect the box of items she'd gotten for him.
"These might come in handy," she said simply as she set the box at his feet then went to her closet for more weapons for herself.
Inside the box was a set of armor and weapons for his wolf: neck guard, chest plate, a few other pieces of armor, and claw guards. She thought he'd like the claw guards best, though. They actually slid over his claws and were easily tightened around his wrist with a simple pull-strap instead of a buckle or buttons. They were meant for him to put on while in his wolf form, instead of having someone else put them on him. They protected his claws from breakage and were super sharp, enabling him to give harsher attacks.
There was a second box of similar types of items for his human form, but she'd left that one in the bedroom for later.
It didn't take her long to get ready, then she waited in the hallway for him. But she was going to let him lead this one since he was insisting on it. She just didn't like it because of her cat, though he might feel that she was justified on that one by now...

take care not to hurt yourself
Arqden Graylock Wulfric Von Shadowfang
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Wulfric rushed through her suite to the bedroom, whining as he placed her on the bed. The Wolf took the claws off and started checking the wounds, taking her clothes that were shredded off revealing more injuries than he was aware of, why didn’t he check her before she went with him, or for that matter why he hadn’t moved sooner to help her with the last camp, she’d seemingly lost it before he could assist, and now he felt bad that she’d been injured as a result of it, more so than he’d known. The Wolf turned around when he heard someone come into the room and he growled at this point he wasn’t letting anyone near her, she was his responsibility and would take care of her himself. Barking he caused the servant who’d come in to check on them to back off and left Blades suites as Wulfric moved and grabbed anything he could to treat her wounds, and returned to her side soon as he had and started checking each wound and would stop the bleeding. The Wolf was panicked and angry, those two things alone were keeping Wulfric from changing, the wolf being emotionally compromised that someone dear to him had been seriously hurt and struggled to treat the wounds.
Arqden didn’t waste any time going downstairs where the wolf had taken blade and was stopped when one of the servants kept her from trying to go through the opened door to blades suites “ma’am I wouldn’t go in there the wolf’s not in the best of mood” Arqden looked at him sternly and replied “GET OUT OF MY WAY! If someone’s hurt I can help” the servant looking confused and inquired “and what could you possibly do to help, the wolf would just as likely rip you apart no sooner you try to get close to her” Arqden annoyed shoved the servant aside and replied “I’ll take that chance, I’m trained in healing magic” the servants jaw dropped when she said that and simply watched as she went inside following the blood into the bedroom and found the Wolf seemingly panicked and making a mess “OUT OF THE WAY WOLF!” the Wolf tuned his head around as he looked at Arqden and growled as he stood up from being at Blades side and rushed her, Arqden seemingly stood there as the wolf picked her up and pinned her to the wall growling fiercer than before and mere inches away from simply ripping her throat out for trying to interfere with what he was trying to do. Arqden struggled to breathe and spoke through the coughing “I… can… help…” the Wolf growled at her, clearly not buying it and tightened his grip on her throat. “l’m… healer” Arqden struggled to say as she started to lose consciousness. The Wolf realizing what she was trying to let go of her, Arqden falling to the floor coughing hard, and took a moment to catch her bearings before she slowly got up and looked at the Wolf, who seemingly stepped aside and watched her closely as she approached Blade and took a look at her injuries finding that they were quite serious, she checked her back and thankfully found exist points for the bullets so she wouldn’t have to deal with digging out bullets. Sitting on the bed next to Blade she moved her hands to her chest and stomach, and closed her eyes, focusing on the injuries her hands glowed in a dim light. Arqden started healing blades injuries, to which were considerably worse with all that had happened and for a time it Arqden spent a fair amount of energy healing, each wound stopped bleeding and slowly closed up, until there wasn’t so much as a scar left.
Once Arqden was done she leaned forward and rest a hand on blades cheek, and channeled some energy into her so that she’d at least have the strength to wake up, and while she did heal her injuries, she was likely going to be feeling it for a while until her body was able to rest and stood up from the bed and looked at the wolf, her eyes narrowing “LISTEN HERE WOLF…. You choke me like that again and ill turn you into a rug is that understood” the wolf growled slightly though it nodded and simply stepped over to blades side as Arqden moved out of the way, she couldn’t understand why it was so protective but she suspected that they were much more than appeared. Arqden eventually sighed and her face soften, she’d hang around for a while to be sure nothing else was wrong once she woke up, and simply stepped over to the side and sat down in a chair and simply opened her book up and continued to read.

After a few moments, Blade woke up in a rush, sitting up with one of the daggers under the pillow now in her hand as she looked around with wide eyes. A quick sweep of the room had her calming down fast, but her initial reaction spoke volumes. She finally turned her eyes to the wolf and everything hit her, making her check her body for injuries. She hadn't put the dagger down yet, her confusion over her lack of injuries keeping her cautious.
She could feel where the injuries had been, could still feel the pain of them. So she didn't understand how she couldn't find any of the injuries.
She knew through her brother that Desha, their only physical healer, had died in the attack. His son Dancer, a soul healer, was still in the demon realm as far as she knew. She didn't think they had a healer on the island anymore, so she was beyond confused as to how she was healed.
She looked at the wolf again with a frown, "How?" she asked him softly, "How did I get healed? We don't have a healer on the island anymore," she added, clearly needing to know.

take care not to hurt yourself
Arqden Graylock Wulfric Von Shadowfang

Arqden put her bookmark back and closed the book before standing up “that’s because I healed you” she tapped the wolf on the arm and got him to move out of the way as she stepped over to Blade glancing at the wolf who was still covered in blood “uh wolf go get cleaned up you’re a mess GO!” the wolf whimpered slightly he was clearly relieved to see Blade up and about so soon, but he yielded and sighed as he took off to the bathroom to get cleaned up leaving Arqden alone with blade. Shaking her head Arqden smiled and looked at blade and sat down on the bed “sorry we haven’t met yet but I’m arqden, I’m the resident elf who was recently assigned here, I guess you could say for the time being I’m the new resident healer.” She reached up and took the knife from blade and set it aside “you won’t be needing that, though I’m going to say you’re lucky to be alive right now, that brute of a wolf was difficult to persuade that I was here to help, though as ragged as he was, I’m surprised he’s still walking, but enough about him let’s take a look at you if you don’t mind” Arqden checked Blade’s body making sure that the injuries she’d sustained had indeed healed fully as well as making sure that nothing else was going on. Once she was done she nodded in approval “well looks like you’re going to be alright though I’m going to say now, take it easy for a few days, you’re body was under extreme stress when you got hurt, and while the wounds were healed the pains going to linger for a while until you’ve had a chance to rest, and recover... so my advice, no going out and hunting poachers for a while would be best, though…” she gestured towards the bathroom “I think I don’t have to worry about you to much with him here, you know you’re lucky to have him with you, if it wasn’t for him you’d been far worse off than you were when I healed you, in all likelihood you’d have died from your injuries long before anyone could do anything to help you, so do yourself a favor and take it easy for a while, and if things don’t feel right later on come see me and I’ll see what I can do to help.” Arqden stopped at that point and sat there for a moment to make sure she was going to be alright.
The Wolf sighed as he turned the shower on, and simply stood in the water for a while, relieved that Blade was going to be alright, but if anything he’d been frightened that he was going to lose her, which while they weren’t a bond pair mates, it didn’t really matter to him as he wanted her in his life and the fact that she nearly died on him, scared him, more so since he was the reason she had gone out there, granted they’d saved some lives, but he’d almost lost one who was the most important to him, and had he’d been more aware of her injuries prior to going he’d have done it alone so that she could rest and recover. As it was, he’d almost lost her and that hit him hard.

Blade didn't want to give up the dagger and Arqden practically had to snatch it from her grasp. But she comforted herself with the thought that there were alot more under the pillows. So she let the elf examine her since she'd been the one to heal her. She was surprised that she was able to get the wolf to do what she wanted so easily and frowned over it a bit, but pushed that back as the elf started talking again.
No hunting? Right... Blade would be out as soon as she could move without hurting, maybe sooner. No one told her what to do with any real success except her godmother.
But she gave a silent nod to the woman as she got up to leave, not really committing to anything specific. She caught the narrow-eyed suspicion but made no effort to alleviate it. She could out-stubborn anyone...
She gave a relieved sigh when the female simply left and got to her feet, shedding the rest of her clothes and weapons on her way into the bathroom. She was limping a bit, but it was mainly from lingering pain than an injury. She didn't say a word as she worked her way into the shower with the wolf, letting him finish rinsing before she nudged him out of the way to wash the blood off of herself as well.
She looked him over as she cleaned herself up and was relieved to note that he didn't have any more claw marks, so her cat hadn't cut him up any more. Small blessings.
As she rinsed the bathing oil out of her hair and gave a sigh, "Sorry if I worried you," she gave him that much, hoping that would be the end of it. In her own way, she was just as suicidal as he had been. So he had no real cause to take her to task for the risks she took. Besides, this time had been all on her cat, the blasted feline had gone on a rampage and carried Blade along for the ride...

Blade shivered as he held her and snuggled into her. When he tucked his head into her neck, she put her hand to his cheek and closed her eyes at the simple sensation of being held like she was something precious and cared for. The lat time that had happened to her, she'd lost everything...
But she pushed that thought away as he shifted behind her and spoke words that didn't make sense to her, even as she knew she felt the same way about him. But she was afraid to say it outloud, afraid of what it would mean if she told him the truth.
Then he was spreading the bathing oil over her back and she shivered at the feel of his hands moving over so soothingly possessive.
"I feel the same way about you... I don't know why. I shouldn't feel like this. Feeling like this scares me. The last time I felt like this, I lost everything. But I feel like this anyway and I can't escape it," she told him softly, wondering what he'd think of what she said.
Would he think it was weak? Insane? Wrong?
Would he think the same?
She gave a shaky sigh as he moved his hands down to clean the blood off her a** then slid his hands around her waist again while the water poured over them, her body reacting to him perfectly. She leaned back against him and laced her fingers with his to pull his arms tighter around her, letting her feel his strength as he held her and enticed her at the same time.

Into the fires of battle!
song
Wuflric Von Shadowfang
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Wulfric held onto her though when she spoke he couldn’t help but smile and let go of her briefly to turn her around and press up against her and passionately kissed her without thinking, even as the shower continued to pour on them he didn’t let her go for a moment and held the kiss for a while before he let her up to breathe and leaned in to whisper into her ear his breathe hitting her neck slightly “I want you Blade and only you, I’ve felt the same for quite a while but whenever I’m with you It feels right, like it was supposed to be this way, I… I can’t explain it but I…” he looked into her eyes and gave her a deep and passionate kiss again before he continued “I love you, and I don’t want that to change” he had taken a big risk saying what he did but quite honestly he couldn’t hide that any longer, he’d felt relaxed around her, and while they might be a bit awkward at times, most of that is simply because they hadn’t created a bond which would let them work so much better together, as it was he couldn’t predict her movements very well and that left them irritatingly in the situations they were in with the poachers. But one thing was very clear, he didn’t want to lose her and neither did the wolf. Eventually he leaned back in and kissed her again though this time he picked her up in his arms and let her feel the strength he had his arms, lips never leaving hers as he pinned her up against the wall of the shower and simply worked her mouth with his.
