Six little dragons have been born into a big world. A small town with 2000 acres of wheat field. Our little friends are no bigger than mice. They will grow slowly. And they are all the same size, they are alone in this world except for each other. The town is deserted, empty of people. Each of them is different from the others in a way that they can’t understand, even though it is obvious to their eyes. It’s a big scary world, and for these six little dragons, it’s one big adventure just waiting for them.


Each of the six hatchlings is themed of one of six types of wild life.
One is themed of bugs, insects and arachnids: lots of legs, exoskeleton armor, and strange body plans are a requirement.
One is themed of fish, scales, fins, gills, and spines: must be themed of an underwater lifestyle and must have fish/shark/ray/eel/squid traits. Must be able to breathe air as well as water and move about on land.
One is themed of mammals: fur and external ears are a requirement. Must have only four limbs and be able to glide at the very least.
One is themed of plants: roots, leaves, bark, thorns, all are plant based, and in any combination are allowable, but remember, the dragon hatchling must be themed of the plants.
One is themed birds: beak, feathers, and talons.
One is themed of reptiles: claws, scales, forked tongue, and horns. Must have no more than four limbs and must be able to at least glide.

No pictures. If you can’t be creative and come up with your own ideas about how a character looks you don’t belong in this role play.
I will only be accepting five people into this roleplay. And it’s a first come first served basis. I will create my character last, since I will play the one dragon hatchling not chosen by the other five people.
Character descriptions must have at least 5 sentences. If you can’t write out what your character looks like in detail, you don’t belong in any of my role plays.

Gender female
Appearance Kiki is a dark green color, fading to a crimson red further down to the tips of her tail and legs. Here talons are made up of hardened roots and she has two small horns on her head made up from bark aswell as a long strip of bark running along her back, segmented to allow movment. Her wings are made up of what looks to be long feathers made of leaves and petals. The frill following around the back of her head from either side of her jaw is also made from the same things, although they are several times smaller. Her eyes also share the same crimson red color of her legs,tail tip and the many petals in her wings and frilled crest.

Name: Reos
Gender: Male
Appearance: Reos is currently a six-inch dragonling with the appearance of a mutated water snake. His scales are yellow and secrete a slippery mucus, and he has six (relatively) large fins spaced around his body - four of them, the smaller ones, are placed so as to divide his spine into thirds, and allow him to move swiftly underwater, even quite against the current. The last pair, at least three times the size of the other two pairs, lie flat against his body when he is not on land. When on land, they expand and dry quickly, assuming a rigid structure that allows him to glide, and may in time allow limited flight. His face is longer than the other dragonlings' faces, with tiny sharp teeth suitable for catching small insects on the surface of the water. Two whiskers stream backwards from his nose, and his head is crowned with a ring of spikes such as might be found on a sea-lion. Two short fins run the upper and lower length of his body, allowing swift turns while underwater. He has a dozen vestigial limbs on each side of his body that may one day develop into crustaceal legs.

Name: Athena
Gender: Female
Appearance: Athena's body is currently eight inches long and pale white, though highlights in her developing exoskeleton hint that she may be a dark grey or black by the time it develops fully. She has six thick reptilian legs tipped with tearing claws. Her wings - two pairs, protected under an exoskeletal sheathe when not in use - are currently developing and will not be ready for use for several weeks. Her tail is long and flexible, and tipped with a pointed knob akin to a scorpion's stinger. Her head appears mostly draconian, though she has plates of the same substance that makes up her exoskeleton rather than scales, and has no visible nose - she instead smells through her antennae. Her eyes appear to be pitch black, and close examination reveals that they are made up of tens of thousands of tiny hexagonal shapes.

Name: Buddy
Gender male
Appearance Buddy is a young wyvern like dragon who’s body is mammalian in nature. His arms are like those of a sloth but with two fingers and the wing membrane of a bat connecting those flight fingers to his hips. He fur is short and shaggy, with small prickly quills sticking up through it on the back of his head, back of his neck, his back, and the back of his tail. His tail is long and prehensile like that of a spider monkey but instead of fur or quills, the tail is covered in segmented armadillo armor. His two legs are like those of an Indri, but his feet are like those of an elephant. His body is strong and flexible, being very similar to a tigers, and his neck is similar to that of a sloth’s as well. His head almost resembles that of a sloth, but the sides and back of his head have small bumps that may one day grow into horns, and his face pushes out in a canine muzzle. His fur is a monotone jet black and his quills are a dark brown with white tips. His eyes are golden and seem to shine a little.

Name: Ren
Gender Male
Appearance Unlike many dragons, Ren's is covered in sea blue feathers. However, since Ren hasn't fully matured, his feathers are still more like down and signs signal that his feathers will be darker than that. Beneath his feather is a leathery black skin, visible around his eyes and near is thin legs where his talons are more claw like. His hind legs are skinny and dark, while his front legs are much shorter; he only walks on his two back legs. He is definitely lighter than his siblings, with bones light enough so that he can take flight, and significantly different than his fraternal twin, Eve, who was born out of the same egg as him. His wings consist of longer feathers darker than the rest of the his body, with a wing span of double his size. He is a new flyer and isn't very experienced. His tail is long and consists of more greenish feathers, similar to a peacock. His snout is well, not exactly a snout but a more beaked mouth as hard as fortified bone. His beak is black, similar to his skin, and can crush nut shells and the such. His eyes are dark and coal like and the top of his head is a rustle of long feathers of sea green and green like.

Name: Eve
Gender Female
Appearance Eve's skin is covered in redish scales, shiny and hard to penetrate, reflecting the light to keep her warm; thus she can't move around at night as well since she is cold blooded. Her tail is long and thin, like a lizard's and is detachable if she were ever caught in a pinch. She has four legs, all fashioned with sharp claws. Her underside is soft, unlike the rest of her body, and is of a more golden color. Her underside is obviously her vulnerability. Eve, however, makes up with it in her offensive. Her snout is of medium size and her jaws are fashioned so that they are snap and lock. They are rows of small teeth, being that she hasn't fully matured, and portudes two venemous fangs that could potentially kill her victims. She is definitely good at hunting, and is very quick about it, much faster than her siblings. Her faternal twin born from the same egg, Ren, is much different than herself. Her body is much longer and thinner than most. Her eyes are dark and her head is rounded. Her wings are sturdy with nail like ends, and have a leathery texture so that she could fly.

Name: Merlyn
Gender female
Appearance Merlyn has an elongated torso like that of a salamander, except that her torso has segmented insect armor covering it. She has four front legs, each with a ring of toes that look like centipede legs, which in turn suggests that each of her front legs is actualy 10 legs merged together. Each of her front legs is shaped like an arm. Her two back legs are clearly those of a wolf, but they are covered in layers of flexible bark and the feet look like tree stumps with rings of roots that act like toes. Her tail is long and rudder like, with fins on both the bottom and the top like an eel, and her two wings are bird like with non functional butterfly wings as feathers. Her neck is almost as long as her torso, and her mouth is a humming bird beak. Her ears are cat like and seem to swivel at every sound, and her tongue is forked like that of a snake. Her eyes are like those of a cat, and her body is covered in a soft short fur, even her exoskeleton armor is covered with this soft fur.

Name: Krake
Gender: male
Age: 10 years
Appearance: a wyvern like dragon who’s wings are those of a manta ray, Krake is a monstrous creature. The edges of his manta ray wings are lined with crab legs, and he eel like head is filled not with teeth, but pincers. Each tooth is a pincer of a crab, His hind legs are made from 20 pairs of merged crustacean legs, and his twin tails are the larger feeding tentacles of a squid. His neck is short, and while he is only the height of a house cat, he has a 6ft wingspan and is 9ft long. his back is the color of the sands while his under belly is pure white in color with some bioluminescent markings.

Buddy slowly opened his eyes, only to be met with darkness. He wasn't blind however. The eggs had been laid inside a barn, which was now closed up completely. He an his siblings had already hatched, but had all passed out shortly after. He opened his eyes and as they adjusted to the darkness, he quickly gained color vision in the dark, and realized he wasn't alone. He looked at his siblings, all so different. He slowly tried to stand, but on his first five attempts he fell over. His legs were very wobbly. Then on his sixth attempt he managed to stand and even walk though his legs continued to shake.

He woke up, and opened his eyes for the first time. He remembered being in the warm place for some time, how long he wasn't exactly sure, then the warm place broke around him and he saw... others. He knew, somehow, that they were kin to him. Likewise, he knew without having yet seen them that they would be different from himself.

The second thing he did, after opening his eyes, was look around. Four of his kindred were lying down, still senseless from having left their warm places, and the last was walking shakily on clumsy-looking limbs in the semidarkness. His eyes had adjusted to the darkness without his being aware of it, and he could see his own body now for the first time. He was a bright, nauseous-looking color, with little nubs all along his side. Not attractive at all, though at least he did not have the ugly, clumsy-looking limbs that his walking kin had. He opened his mouth once, then again, working the stiffness from his jaw as his body wriggled behind him in imitation, stretching out the kinks from lying on an uneven surface for some time. He began to speak, "I am..."

Then he stopped. He did not know what to call himself. A name drifted into his head, and he took it on the basis that it was as sensible a choice as anything else. "I am Reos. Who are you, brother?"

Athena woke instantly at the sound of her brother's voice, and her thousands of eyes opened in the darkness. She could feel her outside-skeleton around her, still soft and unformed and likely to be so for some time. How she was to know that her name was Athena never occurred to her. It was just who she was. She shifted ever so slightly, so that she was crouching and ready to run instead of lying on her still-soft back. She didn't know whether the furry-brother was a threat, but Reos-brother's teeth were well-suited to breaking her outside-skeleton and she could imagine too easily what it would feel like.

Kiki looked down to the three that had just awoken, herself having been awake for a couple of hours now, she sat at what seemed quite a distance away from her siblings, blinking a few times as she watched them before returning her gaze to a strange furry creature with whiskers and a long worm like tail (a rat by the way) She didnt really want to bother them, for all she knew, they probably still think she was was curled up under the lump of hay that still resembled a creature hiding.

Buddy looked in the direction of the sound and said slowly, "My name Buddy.." his voice was squeaky, but would likely deepen as he grew older. Then he started to walk on all fours without issue towards his brother and sister. As he drew closer his claws would become apparent. They were sharp and blade like, curved and shaped perfectly for climbing.

Reos tilted his head to one side, absently noting the sensation of his yet-soft crown of spines brushing against his body as he rose up off his stomach to look "Buddy" in the eye. "You are," he said after a moment of consideration, "a most unusual shape."

He fell back to the floor and instinctively moved his body so that he could move quickly around behind his kin, the better to examine him from every angle. He was just as strange from behind, and the sides offered no improvement. Why he had those limbs under his body Reos could not comprehend, nor why they had blades on them when his teeth would be perfectly suited. "Very unusual. You have many parts that you do not need."

Athena stood up on her six legs, easily balancing and walking after working out the muscles in her head. Of the five others, two were still asleep. One was slithering around another, and the last was pretending to be still asleep. Her back cracked open without her conscious intervention, and exposed the damp winglets in her back to air for the first time. She felt them dry very slightly, but knew without having to think about it that they would not be ready to fly with for days, if not longer.

Moving her legs in a complex pattern, Athena walked closer to the two of her kin that her antennae told her were male. "You lack parts you ought to have, Reos-brother. No legs, not enough eyes."

"What you mean?" Then Buddy's ears registered the sounds of a squeaking He looked over in the direction of the sound, and then crouched low. He raised his arms up and then sprang forth, his legs launching him into the air a good 30 times his body length, and then his arms began to flap. He began to fly upwards and after an unimaginable distance to him, he landed on some hay an incredible distance above his siblings. He was in the hay loft. He peered over the edge down at his siblings and said, "Woooooowwww....."

Kiki continued to stare at the strange furry creature for a moment more before tilting her head to the side and reaching one of her front legs forward to poke it, only to have the thingback away abit and bare it teeth before running off to her right. She let out a happy playful squeal before starting to run after it. almost bouncing as she ran, not really able to figure out how to use all four legs to move silently yet. "Weeeeee!!"

Reos looked up at the squeaking sound and wound his way towards it, cutting a damp and sticky line across the dirt floor as he moved. That tiny sound brought several thoughts into his head. First and foremost, what had caused it to squeak? Possibly another of his kin? Second, and almost as urgently, was it a source of food?

Athena heard the squeaking noise from an upper portion of the area they were in, and turned to face the direction it had issued from. If it was a threat, she would be ready to run. If it was not, she would at least know what something looked like that was not one of her brothers or - for presumably she had some - sisters.

Little Buddy turned to investigate and as he did so he walked past a big rock, or so he thought. He crawled through a hole in the wall and climbed out onto the roof of the barn. He was too curious about the world around and decided to go exploring. So he flew off, he would not return for many years.

The rock in the hay loft, was no rock at all. It was an egg that had yet to hatch.

Kiki continued to chase the rodent around the barn, finally following after it as it ducked out through a small hole in the barn door, ending up outside as she slowed and looked around at the bright light of the sun and the green grass. "aaaaah...it so pretty!"
