I really like him, and we were dating at one point.
But, there`s this girl...

I don`t know why, but if I think about either of them, I get butterflies in my stomach. My mind is basically at war with itself trying to solve this issue.

I can`t love them both. What would you do?

Take a step back and really think about the situation. Which do you like more? Which catches your interest the most? Who can you see yourself with more in the future? Things like that. If you think it out and compare what you like and dislike about the two it should make it easier to decide which you would prefer to be with. Or, it could turn out that you don't really want to be with either. Just take the time to think on it and analyze the situation. You'll know when you figure it out, so don't rush into anything irrationally. (=
