Isadora scowled as the Manse door slammed backwards from her entrance. Pulling the shadowy cloak off her head to lie upon her shoulders she looked around the stillness of the building. Her eyes narrowed though her face in age remained completely ethereal . She was quite beautiful save for the spattered blood of the wolf and her own wounds.
All was quite and empty till she spotted a new found fledgling in the main hall climbing the stairs. Holding her head high she held those narrowed eyes as she called to the youth, "Minerva. Come to me. Now." she hissed as the shadowy tightened cloak trailed around her.

Hearing that voice call out to her, Minerva found herself freezing in mid-step, a chill running down her spin. Oh crap! This was the one Aurora was warning her about, wasn't it? Without hesitation, the meanki found herself turning around before heading back down the stairs. She might have foolishly gone after Kasdeya to avenge her Elder, but she wasn't foolish enough to disrespect Countess.
"Yes.. Yes Countess." The meanki lowered her head in respects, not daring to look the Disciple dead in the eyes. She valued her life, despite almost needlessly throwing it away earlier. "What does Countess require of me?"

Isadora rolled her eyes then looked deeply at the one Aurora embraced. Ah yes Aurora the one elder that made her life harder. It being said this fledgling be better then that pathetic lot of tainted blood Aurora had birthed. Those heathens taking the Keepers knowledge with them was treason enough. Especially her first and last born retaliating because "love was stronger then the clan". They'd all see daylight and have their heads severed should they ever be taken into Lasombra's custody once more.
But enough of all that now. This Lasombra child would be put to use....
"You're a scribe are you not? If not you will learn to be for you are in charge of events being written and remembered. Is that clear?" she hissed as the shadows spread outward around her, "I want you to be my personal scribe as a matter of fact. You do as I ask and show promise, perhaps you will step out of that infant rank to something more suitable."
She stood taller looking as if time had stopped tapping her fingers on her opposite wrist awaiting an answer, "Well what is your answer child?"

Silence gripped the meanki as she stood before Countess, her eyes still turned away out of respects for the eldest among them. She might have been cocky and over-confident in her old life, but now that she was embraced into Lasombra, all that had changed... especially at this moment in time.
She listened intently to Isadora's words, not daring to speak a word until she was allowed to do so. A scribe? She wanted her to be a scribe? And, more importantly, her own personal scribe? It only took a few seconds for Minerva to think all of this through before allowing a solemn nod of her head to be given. "It would be my honor, Countess. I shan't let you down."
There was a bit of confidence in her voice, but also a tinge of fear mixed in. She did not want to disappoint the one before her... and the prospects of gaining some rank in the clan was a good motivator as well. Without wasting any time, the meanki opened up the 'journal' she had been carrying, a pen produced shortly after.
What better way to keep on the Disciples good side then to be ready, right? At least, she hoped that was right.

"You better not if you value your loyalty" she spoke in a hiss, "I am glad you are quite a listener. But of course I shall see how well you do indeed take things to paper as I intend."
"Very well then come with me child to the Grand Hall. We will discuss what you're to scribe there, "she then started to walk toward the hall where only the elder and those in high ranks met for council, "Do not dawdle Minerva because I am weary and want no insolence. Things aspiring are running out of control with this war coming. They... are getting out of hand."
Opening the grand hall once restricted to Minerva she was finally allowed to enter.

Minerva did not dare interrupt Countess as she spoke, the meanki doing her best to keep in stride with the Disciple as she lead her toward the Great Hall. "Yes Countess." Those eyes remained turned to the ground even as she walked, not daring to over step any boundaries.
She was actually being allowed into one of the restricted areas? A tinge of excitement washed through Minerva as followed her inside. And though there was excitement in her heart, the girl kept herself quiet so as to not displease Isadora. Such an obedient creature she had become in just a matter of seconds, any defiance that had leaked over from her mortal life being crushed beneath the overbearing nature of the one she followed.

Countess took her seat at the far end motioning Minerva to take a seat near her, "Now then.... Shadow luv where are you?" Her eyes seemed to grow younger calling out to her beloved little familiar.
Appearing immediately out of nowhere a small creature pink with tiger-like markings. It carried one black wing and the other white upon its head as it flew to her with no qualms. Purring with a chirp the small creature awaited its orders.
"There that's better... see that Minerva gets a drink shall we? Bring me my own goblet then would you dear?" she seemed so different as her fingers scritched under the small familiar's chin.
She then turned to Minerva, "Now where shall I begin...." she trailed off momentarily awaiting the creature's return. The tiny sound of movement coming from outside the door could be heard.

As she entered the Grand Hall, Minerva gave it a quick once over, taking in sights that many fledglings could only dream of. Granted this came at a price of being Isadora's personal scribe, but she was truly excited to be allowed past those doors. Yet, like before, she did not allow that excitement to show itself on the outside.
Without hesitation, the meanki found herself taking a seat nearest Countess, the journal and pen still at the ready. Though, what happened next, she was completely unprepared for... the tiny tiger striped creature that suddenly appeared before them. She wanted to say something, to inquire what it was from Countess, but she held her tongue. There was no point in stepping out of line.
"Th.. Thank you Countess." She showed a bit of appreciation as the tiny creature was instructed to bring her something as well. So far so good, right?
"I am ready when you are Countess..." The meanki tried to keep herself calm, having heard stories from the others about how the Disciple, the pen finding itself at the ready with ears perked at attention.

The tiny creature flew toward them with two goblets; one more elaborate then the other. If squeaked and trilled into a purr as the goblets were placed on the table.
Isadora smiled affectionately to her familiar, "Now go find yourself a place to mingle. Mommy will attend to you later." she said in an almost cheerful manner then turned to Minerva with eyes and speech like stone, "Finally we can begin this... But first I shall introduce you to Lasombra's familiar Shadow. She is the clan's helper so you will see her from time to time. She also is my ears and eyes should the clan be deceiving and shadows scurry out into the wilderness."
Picking up the goblet she drank deep then placed it back on the table, "Much Much better. Now then Minerva do take a drink and we'll get started".

Minerva watched as the tiny creature flew back into the hall with the two goblets, her eyes slowly turning toward Countess as she began to address her. "I dare not deceive you, Countess. I am your's to command." She spoke respectfully to the Disciple.
"Thank you Countess." She spoke softly, taking up her goblet, sipping lightly at it before setting it upon the table once more. "My ears are your's, Countess." She spoke once more, keeping things short and simple until Countess told her otherwise, that pen finding itself at the ready once more.

Countess kept a direct gaze on Minerva, almost as if her steely eyes were interrogating the younger female. One could never be too careful when confiding in others of your thoughts, ambitions, dreams... She paused within her mind for the final word would be fear which she herself wasn't afraid of the twisted wolves. No it was the whispers that traveled in the blanket of darkness to the other clans how a particular clan couldn't control the mixed breed. Oh the calamity and laughing stock Lasombra became due to Kasdeya and her pack of b*****d wolves.
"My dear tell me how Lasombra has been treating you? Are you finding your way around the manse?" she inquired as her chin rested on her palms. The information about the Spirals would be recorded but first the Countess desired to learn who her Scribe was and her ability to be open with the truth. It would make things all the more enjoyable later on when she had things to her own desires. The more obedient a shadow was the easier they'd do your bidding. Such good little sheep fledglings were.
The familiar then found her way over to Minerva firmly making a comfortable home on her shoulder while it braced its tiny paw-like hands upon her shoulders.

Minerva felt herself tense up as those steely eyes fell upon her. If she wanted to speak right now, she would tell Countess how intimidating she was... but, being that she also knew what respect was, she found it best not to voice something.. especially to one who could easily decide her fate within the 'family'.
"Since my embracing, I have been treated fairly well, I would have to say Countess." Minerva allowed herself to break the silence once addressed, finding this to be odd of someone who was viewed as being a tyrant amongst the Lasombra. "I am still getting my barrings on the manse, but I am quickly learning where I am allowed and am not, Countess." She kept a respectful tone when speaking to Isadora, trying to play her cards right from the get go. Another sip was taken from the goblet that had been laid before her earlier, it settling upon the table top shortly after.
Of course, even more surprising then Countess' nice demeanor was the feeling of the tiny familiar perching upon her shoulder.. and, even though hesitant, she attempted to give it a gentle scratch beneath the chin.

Those steely eyes still settled upon the young vampire with much intent and interest. She listened with an open mind and reveled in the thought of a building framework that delivered such a delectable plan. This youth of the shadows was the perfect pawn that would bring Aurora down should she forget her duties of what an elder in writing was. Indeed this fledgling was perfect and none the less inconspicuous to deny a Disciple of her wishes.
"I am pleased Minerva. You will make a fine shadow among my ranks in this manse" she smiled in a strange eloquent way yet those steely ears burned like flaming embers in the young girl's conscious.
"Now my child I have something important on my mind that I need to discuss with you before we speak of the mongrels. Knowing you are in my presence you must speak your full mid and loyalty to me at any given time or location. Is that clear?" Her voice held a viciousness that smoothed over with that proper speech and bloodline. Games were for children but this one was much more sinister in its birth.
"I need you to do me a favor and I will regard you with your life and allegiance child." she said as her head held higher and her shadowy veil seemed to form mysteriously out of nowhere, "Will you accept this request"?

Minerva could feel every muscle in her body lock up as that steely gaze was placed upon her, the fledgling to scared at the moment to even pry her gaze free of Countess' own. She was far more intimidating than anyone had truly let on, the poor girl wondering what she had gotten herself into by becoming one with the shadows.
Though, she would not let something like that be voiced allowed, a shallow swallow being given as she allowed the Disciple to finish speaking. "Yes Countess! I have no intentions on betraying your trust in me." She kept herself nice and proper when stating this, doing her best to not step out of line with the one before.
"Whatever it is you desire of me Countess, I am ready and willing to do so for the benefit of the clan." Fear seemed to be driving the words which escaped Minerva, her confidence slowly trying to return to her even as the other seemed to 'loom' over her in a sense.

"Wonderful" she spoke with laughter practically in her eloquent well-trained voice, "I do indeed like you child. Very much..." She arose from her chair then walked in a smooth gait slowly around the table till she stood behind the fledgling.
"You are my eyes, my ears, young one. You are my personal scribe when I call you." she hissed as her hands rested upon Minerva's shoulders, her nails digging in slightly with pressure. This plan was so well written that it could of been a story. "Now then... your maker Aurora... I gave her pardon of everything that's come about this clan. But you see, "digging her claws in just a little deeper, "She can't be trusted."
Pulling herself upwards she paused letting up her grip on the girl's shoulders slightly, "You will watch her every move. You will report things you see and hear. And above all you will not let Aurora know what I expect of you. Is that clear?" she hissed making her power of the shadow flow that it started to slowly encase Minerva.
