Random Nobody 13

He stepped out from a small inn he had sought refuge in, his footsteps carrying him swiftly down the small village's pathway. His pale eyes glancing upwards towards the darkening sky. He drew in a breath sharply. He quietly shifted his dark tunic, barely noticing what was in front of him.

Aric had spent his recent time feeling lost, confused and angry. He was finding his life very empty. He was incapable of creating his own cause to fight for, but he was finding all the wrong companions to serve. He was well aware that he was a joke. However, the joke was on them. He chose to serve them, but when the respect was dropped so was his servitude. He would not be mocked, but he would not leave his duties until his previous master had expired. Expired he did, and Aric's lips were sealed tightly.

He looked small, but he was far more clever than he appeared. He was far more lethal than any much larger male because everyone overlooked him. He was fiercely loyal, but he was violent and aggressive in his pursuit for bettering his master's position. Now that his master was deceased, the confusion had settled and it was time for this minion to find someone worthy of his servitude.

Luralai thought about leaving the village. She was bored with her arts, unable to find a single curse she hadn't used before. If things continued at this rate, she would need to move to a new village. After all, she had heard the whispers about her in town. The supposed 'secret' meetings. The townsfolk wanted her out, and wanted her out now. They were tired of her curses, her spells, the fae going missing. Terror gripped them but they weren't tough enough to try and dispose of her. Perhaps she would leave and find a new town. After all, she was growing bored. After the feli that had caught her interest, nobody else seemed worth her time.

Lounging on her bed in her room, Luralai thought. She hadn't scouted the nearby villages in awhile. Perhaps they would yield some interesting company. With a plan in mind, Luralai stood and stretched. Not in the slightest hurry, she brushed her hair, slid on her purple dress, and began to adorn herself with her normal accessories. When all was said and done, she grabbed a bag and slinging it over her shoulder, began to make her way towards a nearby village.

Yellow eyes blazing, she strode into the village with an air of confidence. There was no doubt she was powerful, and not to be trifled with. Instead of wandering about like a fool, she sauntered towards the inn. There the most interesting fae would be, and she could get a drink while she was there. On her way towards the inn, she saw a small baddie. His starry pattern is what caught her attention, and she thought about a few of the curses she could lay upon him. A dark chuckle escaped her as she decided to wait until nightfall to deliver any curses. For now, she would content herself with some drink.

The building was nothing to make any significant note of. He had just watched Asarlai walk in. His eyes darkened as he stood off to the side for a few minutes, letting others pass in and out of the building. There were kats worthy of mention entering into the establishment. The anxiety was building as he made his way across and entered into the building.

His eyes narrowed, taking in the sight of the patrons scattered about deep in some conversations. He listened quietly for a few moments longer, the conversations were of nothing significant. In fact, these patrons almost seemed juvenile. He let out a short puff of air of annoyance before settling into a chair to retrieve a drink. He would need to see the bottom of a few of these alcoholic beverages before he could consider them.

The Asarlai was in here somewhere. He figured that she was involved in some discussion of a similar style elsewhere in the building. The truth was, he wasn't seeking her out in particular, but he knew that the Asarlai race in particular were typically not foolish by any definition. At the very least, he might catch a new direction to head in from the souls dwelling inside here.

He took another swig of his drink out of frustration.

Sliding herself onto a bar stool, Luralai flagged the waiter down and whispered her favorite drink into his ear. With a dark blush, the bartender quickly mixed her drink, and poured the dark red liquid into a glass. Taking a deep breath of the pungent air, Lurlalai plucked the glass from the counter and took a languid sip. Most of the patrons were older, drinking their beer, and telling stories of the good days. Luralai snorted. This was just a bunch of pathetic fools. Instead of joining one of the nearby tables, she decided to have a look around.

With a flick of her tail and hips swaying, Luralai had half the fae in the room staring at her. None were brave enough to approach her, but as the night wore on, someone would get drunk enough to. Slowly scanning the room for something interesting, she spotted the same little baddie she had seen coming inside. Perhaps now was an opportune time to begin laying the curse on him. 'Now, which one would be appropriate?' she wondered to herself. 'Maybe the love spell? . . .No. . .too common. Perhaps the eternal servitude?' Hmmm...Luralai couldn't decide on a good enough curse to use, so she took another sip.

Without hesitating, Luralai approached the baddie. She gently set her drink down, and leaned over the table, revealing much of her cleavage. "Well, what have we here? Tell me, do you know any good stories?" she asked with a malicious grin.
