I recently posted this in another gay Gaia guild (yay alliteration!) and I thought it might be of interest to some people in here too.

-------------------------------------------

Anyway, I happen to be a big fan of webcomics, and I follow quite a few of them. I decided, for those out there who also enjoy them, to put down a list of all the (non-pornographic) ones I read that center around LGBT characters. If you know of others I missed that you read and enjoy, please share them too.

Abel Boddy
Centers around Howard, a less-than-romantically-successful gay man, and his buff gay guardian angel/sex god Abel. Sometimes dirty, but not too extreme.

Capitol Hillbillies
Daily lives and sexual exploits of a group of gay friends in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. The most sexually explicit comic on this list.

Finn and Charlie are HITCHED
A charming comic about a middle-aged gay married couple in the mid-west. Based very loosely on elements from the author's real life, and a nice portrait of a stable, healthy, long-term gay relationship.

Straight Ahead
Largely chronicles the coming out process of a deeply-in-denial protagonist with two imaginary friends/guardian angels who are each trying to get him to move forward, but in somewhat different directions.

Down and Out
A relatively new comic that centers around the life of the semi-autobiographical protagonist and a few of his friends living in Montreal's gay district.

Amazing Adventures of Bill
A long-running journal comic written by/about the everyday life of Bill Roundy, a middle-aged gay man living in Brooklyn.

Girls With Slingshots
This is not a strictly gay comic, but I included it here for three reasons. The first is that it has several LGBT characters who are central to the plot. The second is that it recently did a plot line about open relationships which I think was very well handled. The third is that, as you may have noticed, I'm not really versed in lesbian webcomics and I wanted to include at least one that the girls might relate to.

I've heard the names of a few lesbian webcomics, like Peggy and Aggie and Flipside, but I don't read them so I really can't give you a description. Those two may also be NSFW, I can't vouch for that one way or the other. So, you know, advance with caution.

I don't really follow any webcomics, but I used to read Boy Meets Boy and Friendly Hostility. Those have both been over and done with for ages, though. blaugh

I only really have one that's safe for work. xD

Well, both comics I'm about to list aren't safe for work places, unfortunately, but they are actually really great to read.

Teahouse
A fancy but respectable brothel house that hosts workers for customers. Long as you have the gold, they have the time. There's a ton of drama as well as lots of romance, whether straight or yaoi. I'm almost guaranteeing you that you'll find someone you'll love in this series.

Starfighter
Two people assigned onto a team, a fighter and a navigator, who must learn to live with each other and do well with their missions that takes place in space. The story focuses on one specific team... Cain and Abel. It's an ongoing comic, a bit slow as they're making the books themselves and selling them, but still great.

Hope everyone likes these comics!

Mafdet of Egypt

Oh, I follow that artist on DA since I like the style. I wouldn't link Starfighter on a Gaia forum. That is so far beyond the pg-13 limit.

Oh! I just remembered. It's not really gay, but there are a lot of jokes about same-sex pairings:
