NAME OF CLASS: First Aid 101
PROFESSOR NAME: Professor Cricket

General information: A general overview on basic illnesses a student might run into, as well as symptoms and quick fixes to things like breaks and deep cuts while on the go!

Each student is given a dummy to work on, though they may choose to partner up in fixing it.

Mechanics:
Roll 1 20-sided dice, what you roll is what your student gets to work with...

Dice Rolls and What they Mean!
1-4 - Broken Bone
4-8 - Fever
9-12 - Heat Stroke
13-16 - Hypothermia
17-20 - Lack of Bodily Function (such as breathing, pulse, etc) - this is unnaturally so.

After this, please roll 4, 4-sided Dice. Take into account their total and any repeating numbers

Total Results and their Meaning

1-6 - You do a rather poor job patching up your dummy, you might not want to try and heal anybody anytime soon!
7-12 - You do an average job, nothing extraordinary, but passable!
12-16 - Extra good work! Your student can now heal surface wounds!, but not repair HP! This means things like cuts and bleeding that might hinder another character can be patched up!

What Repeating Numbers Mean

No Repeating Numbers - You used just the right amount of supplies, good for you! Not wasteful at all.
Repeating 1s or 2s - You didn't use enough supplies, that's rather lazy and Cricket obviously disapproves of it.
Repeating 3s or 4s - You used too many supplies and that's wasteful! Naughty! Cricket might make you earn your supply rights back in a future class!

If you work as a group, split up the dice between yourselves as evenly as possible. So if you're paired up, each person rolls a 10 sided dice and you add up the results to get your dummy!

Then you split up your 4 sided dice to work on fixing it up!

Bonus Mechanics:
For every 3 times you attempt this course, your student may add +1 to their 4d4 dice roll's total to improve how well they patched up the dummy.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You are finished rolling both sets of dice and rping out the results. That means you have to make ANOTHER rp to try again!

Tess realized she needed to be able to have something to show for once she graduated. And it was going to be harder for her to accomplish this if she reached her third year without any basic skills. Horrified at the prospect of having to cram everything at the last minute in a desperate bid to accomplish something, like, say, a certain individual typing as we speak Tess went to check the open classes being offered.

She knew she wasn't going to be a very good fighter, she was too... passive to be one. Granted Legs' aspects would be able to balance that in time but it didn't hurt to be able to heal others without resorting to her FEAR yes?

She went to fetch her dummy, lugging it over to her work station and promptly set about identifying whatever ailment it possessed. "A fever, alright, let's see what I can do to help you with that..." she smiled, pretending to treat the dummy as if it were a real live (or undead) student.

Being an undead, Tess' own body temperature was always lower than those whose heart still beat. But her species was different because whenever she was whole, her body ended up mimicking those of a living creature's however temporary. So in a way she was at some advantage when she set about collecting hot water bottles shaped like lungs and pills that were meant to lower one's body temperature to the acceptable level.

"Okay, open wide," the winged ghoul instructed, opening the bottle of medicine to pour the contents into her hand. She kept track of how many she'd used and realized too late that she used one too many pills to feed the dummy. She could hear disapproving clicking from over her shoulder but she didn't dare turn around lest she confirmed things and saw it was Cricket. Instead, she went about collecting hot water for the water bottles.

Unfortunately there wasn't any thermos and she was forced to boil some for the test. The fact that she needed to create fire for this may have unnerved her to the point that she only had enough water to fill the bottle about halfway.

Again the disapproving clicking of insectoid mandibles sounded. With a toss of her long black hair, Tess headed back to her dummy and applied the water bottle to her willing victim's side. "Hold this against you, you can opt for your chest or stomach. If you have them," she added with a slight chuckle.

She hoped the excess in the beginning and the sudden lack in the end meant they cancelled each other out. And apparently it did because she was informed that she did extra good work! Tess was happy to learn she could now heal surface wounds!

"I might have to resist drinking up the blood from the cuts though." Again, she was joking.

The manananggal wanted to see if there were other particular ailments she might have difficulties with and opted to try a few more times. With permission of course! She went to get a new dummy, hoping this would have a different problem than her first one. As she studied and checked, the ghoul eventually "came to the conclusion" (read: checked the list that stated) that her dummy was suffering from heat stroke.

Heat stroke huh? Tess tried to remember if she ever saw anyone she knew suffer from it. Most manananggal knew better than to be exposed to the sun for too long, not even when they were pretending to be humans. This was definitely going to be a tricky case, wasn't it? And it would indeed prove to be a tricky case as the only way Tess remembered to lower someone else's body temperature was through bloodloss.

She did remember to pretend to drag the dummy out of the heat and into the shade. Oh wait, she was also supposed to get water and hydrate this person! She hoped that was the correct treatment. Retrieving water, she only brought one bottle for the dummy (hey, it wasn't like it was really going to drink it) but apparently she needed to bring more. At least she did an acceptable job. Maybe next time she ought to bring more?

When she went to retrieve her third dummy, Tess found it harder to pull this one back to her work station. And after some careful inspection and note taking, she discovered her third training dummy apparently wasn't being difficult for the sake of being difficult. It didn't have a pulse when it was supposed to have one.

Tess wasn't entirely too sure how to deal with this one. She guessed she needed to restart the heart. Wait, was this dummy a patchwork? Was she going to need cables and lightning? As she flailed about in dismay, she noticed the clicking of mandible and set to work in giving CPR. She didn't exactly kiss the dummy (Jack knows whose else's lips had touched it, ick) but she went through the motions until it was acceptable.

((ooc: this is the 3rd attempt for this course so +1 to the dice roll yields 10))

After the winged ghoul had finished putting away her third dummy, she went to retrieve her fourth. This time, the dummy Tess got was for hypothermia. Ooooh Jack, she was going to have some difficulty with this one, she was sure of that.

Tess wasn't entirely too sure how to deal with hypothermia. Was there supposed to be body-heat sharing involved? But she was an undead and Legs wasn't anywhere in the vicinity for her to merge with. Jack damn it, the ghoul frantically went about searching for more hot water bottles and this time, thanks to the already lit fire, she got more than enough of the materials to warm the dummy right back up to the proper body temperature!

Of course if this dummy had been a certain dragon boil with white hair, she might have had due cause to snuggle all the same.
