[FIELD CLASS] Discernment for Individuals (P3!)

There were notices, carefully worded and posted throughout the dorms and other common areas. Handwritten, on parchment, imploring students to attend a newly-opened course. The directions led to a long-abandoned classroom - one that might be familiar to some of the older students. Handprints mar the dust on the door. A notice hangs limply from a nail, just above a door bin.

Why was the class being held in the middle of the night?! And- totes...? It would seem the bright red bin was filled with small, felt drawstring bags. The door was ajar, and through the narrow gap lay a darkened classroom, crowned by a large desk on the far side. Bats chittered, hanging from the ceiling and blinking at the intrusion.

It looks like you can just go in...

OOC INFORMATION

Sign ups are open until sometime Friday night, but may be extended into Saturday depending on the response!

To sign up, RP your character bringing in a tote bag and dropping it off on the desk. Then please PM me (Ravvlet) a list of the three items that were placed in the bag! Please try to make sure that at least one of them is fairly unique to your character! The bags are about the size of your hand, so it must be small things.

If you sign up, and don't PM me, I'll try and get in touch with you before class starts, but it's vital that you make sure you get that PM in!

Willow's tail flickered, the whole thing was full of mystery and her curious nature pulled her to locate the class room. Pausing outside the door to read the note. Her ears twitched, so she had to find three artifacts and put them on the desk.

Well, it sounded easy enough. The tigress slipped through the door to grab a tote. This sounded like it would be a really fun class, even if Willow wasn't sure what the teacher meant by 'seeing what is there'.

Malodore needed a distraction. It needed something that had nothing to do with medicine, nothing to do with science, nothing to do with Insanity. Something with people who knew nothing, who wouldn't ask it questions.

It couldn't guarantee that last one, of course, but it was pretty sure the course would provide the former... and it could definitely use some help in seeing, right now, when it felt so lost.

The plague doctor gathered up a few items, as per the flyer's request, bagging them up and bringing them to the appropriate classroom at the right time. It quietly dropped off the bag and slid into a seat. The late night class time didn't bother it; it rarely slept, these days.

The tikbalang read the class description, mulled it over for a time, and then decided he needed to take this class. Reading the instructions, the horse boil spent some time thinking over what best described him before finally going off to retrieve the three artifacts. It had been difficult for him, Tro wasn't very keen on introspection as it tended to lead him to certain types of thoughts and feelings he wasn't willing or comfortable dealing with on his own. Or at the very least without the guidance of his mother and aunts and cousins and... basically every female member of his Clan.

He arrived at the class holding his tote bag and dropped it on the desk, glad that he wasn't the very first one. It would have made him wonder if he had thought about it enough.

Having just returned from an extended visit back home, Lark was feeling refreshed and ready for school. She'd retrieved a small tote the day before, putting great thought into the things she'd decided to place within the bag. After dropping the tote off in the designated area, Lark quickly took a seat towards the rear of the class, slouching back in the seat. The class was relatively empty, which Lark appreciated; the reaper ghoul didn't think she could handle a massive, busy class.

Then again, there was still time for more to show up.

Taking off her hat, Lark fussed with the brim as she waited for class to begin.

Roch looked at the tote bag curiously, having just grabbed random things from his pockets and tossing them in. He had no idea what this class was about, but hell, when was that new? With a shrug he headed for the desk, dropping what appeared to be a somewhat empty tote on the table before looking for someplace to sit.

West was pretty sure he shouldn't be here. He couldn't help thinking that "seeing"was something he could do perfectly well already, thank you, and that this whole endeavor was bound to be a colossal waste of time when he already had a million other things to do with his. Much as they had with prom, however, multitudes of flyers tended to spur the boil to action. He was usually eventually compelled to address what he couldn't ignore, and so he found himself here. It certainly didn't escape his notice that Malodore was here as well.

He didn't approach the plague doctor, but he did stare down the back of its head as he took his seat. The last time he had seen Malodore, it had been cradled in Riley's arms. Dead Riley's arms, as he had found out. He had questions, but he doubted he would ever voice them. Over the course of his time at this school West had found that knowledge came to him whether he sought it out or not.

Once he was settled, he noticed his closest neighbor was Lark. Long time no see, weird ghoul. He nodded at her, then went back to eye-lasering Mal.

No sooner had Taima gotten settled in her dorm before she felt compelled to leave it again, seeking out the classrooms. She happened upon the flyer, a little confused as to what it was supposed to be about, but taking one of the small bags anyway. She returned to the room at the designated time, her eyes briefly sweeping over all of the other students before she added her bag to the growing pile and took a seat at a desk towards the back of the room.

Danny took the seat next to Roch, but waved at Taima. She leaned over and whispered, "Roch. ROCH. That's the really cool birdy I was telling you about. The one with the wings and stuff."

Were Danny's eyes filled with admiration for her newfound bird idol? Yes. Yes they were.

Taryn placed her bag on the teacher's desk and smiled and waved to Willow as she moved to sit near her. The only others she recognized were the bird-masked student in passing, and the boil who had kicked her repeatedly back at the Clans battle. She'd stay away from him. Roch... Roch hadn't been the same since their falling-out. The kind tiger-ghost would do.

She has assumed that they would be receiving other students' bags and trying to discern their keeper from its contents, and for that reason she had not given up anything particularly valuable. Who knew if they'd be getting them back?

Roch blinked. "What birdy?" he asked blankly. Then again half the time he wasn't paying attention. He was a guy, after all. And Danny, well, Danny liked to talk a lot. A lot alot. In fact he was already forgetting to listen again as he dug through his pockets for something to munch on.

"Jackpot!" he said cheerfully, pulling out a chocolate bar. Then he turned so his back was to Danny and ate it all before she could steal it.

Willow had seemed to nod off a bit while waiting in the back of the room, noticing Roch come in and Danny. When someone sat near her, it startled the tigress, her eyes narrowing slightly at the offender. She brushed down her fur and sighed. Right napping in class wasn't the same as napping outside.

She stood up and stretched a bit looking around to see who else had entered the class while she had nodded off. Her eyes scanning the room with a hum, still no teacher. Dang, she was having such a nice nap too. If Danny or Roch looked back she'd wave hello.

"THAT birdy," Danny said, pointing to Taima once more. If Taima hadn't noticed her pointing and talking, now she would.

She saw the chocolate and made puppy dog eyes.
