The ship, rocking to & fro in the wind, was very much like a boat full of seasick sailors now. Alarms woop-wooped with their swooping red lights and sirens reeened in the sweaty face of the midget pilot. As the vortex descended, its straight line winds helped to finally re-orient the ship, even as it cut down groves of healthy bamboo. Struggling futilely, the warhorse neighed woefully in its constraints, managing to edge out a single kick on a thoroughly unfortunate first time grunt. Nailed in the chest, he flung to the outside wall, smacked a door, and hung on with dear life as it gave way to the swirling winds outside. The cloaked figure on top of the vessel took this opportunity to attach a wire to the poor sport and fling him out towards Jae's vortex. A small rotating glow emanated from the screaming grunt's spinning frame as it hit the 'body' of the tornado, dissipating it. No longer filled with howling winds, one could hear the meaty squish and the following silence as the man collided with the sharp points of bamboo now rent. Also now heard where the wailing neighs of the horse emanating from the open door. The cloaked figure on top readied another wire hook, sans chakra. Who was this shadowy figure, what were his intentions, and what affiliations did he possess?
The appearance of the tornado, however far away, attracted Sypher's attention abruptly. He turned, shifting his position on the branch to look back from where he'd come, his lips tight "...take these words of advice, Bakuton." he turned back to the willow tree's occupant, his eyes icy and cold "Leave this place. Leave that boat and go back to whichever deadman you serve." he stepped out from his concealment, his form displayed for a minute to Okabe "And don't return. I'll take a personal interest in you if you do." there wasn't really a threat but an indication that Okabe would not enjoy being a personal project of Sypher's. With that said, he vanished in a swirl of mist, moving back to Jae's position in time to see the tornado's sudden dispersal. He glanced upward, seeing Jae with...So she took my place...Interesting. he didn't make any move to interfere but he eyed the figure on the boat openly, not hiding his person.

Watching as her jutsu was nullified in an acrobatic feat by one of the crew members, Jae smirked as she watched the party crashed impale himself into the debris that still lingered from Karu's tornado. The fine hairs along the nape of her neck stood on end as she peered up at the man who simply watched them. He was hooked up to whatever kept him safely tethered to the ship. Hovering with Karu, Jae looked to her summons. "I am going in..." Jae informed him, her sentence trailing as she allowed for the summons to realize the further implications she was leaving to hang in the air. She was going to board the ship and since chakra was rendered useless she was going to have to rely on her other strengths. Like wit and her new weapon. It meant she would not have Karu nor her jutsu to rely on. "It's dangerous." The owl chided, Jae coaxing her head to one side as she continued to watch the person perched in position. "That's rich. Shinobi are raised and meant for the sole purpose of meeting dangers head on. Another day in the life..." Was her snarky retort. Karu seemed to bristle with his unease, Jae calming down a bit in response to her friends distress.
Reaching out and placing a hand on his head she gave him a small smile. It was nothing like the smiles she used to produced, laced with sadness and discomfort but she tried. For Karu. "I will be fine. If it gets too messy I will abandon ship and fly to safety, so stick around to catch me." She said, Karu watching her with his large amber eyes before doing that whole creepy owl head turning thing. Give them a good enough distraction for me so that I can board without getting picked off too early." She commanded. Taking a deep breath she shot forward, Karu flapping his wings vigorously as his chakra activated. The wind balls that Karu sent forward were powered and ready to explode as soon as they hit the ship.
Jae followed after them before breaking off and heading for another part of the ship that was a little further from where the balls of wind were focused. Pulling her weapon from her holster she grabbed onto the bludgeon end of the chain and the free end of it. Aiming for the pillar of one of the ships masks she sent her chain flying through the air to wrap around the mask and allow for her to swing onto the ship. Jae was unsure if the ship itself was a chakra nullifier, she figured it was not since the sacrificed man had met the tornado head on before it had touched the ship, but she wanted to still be safe. Tugging on the end of her chain, she dislodged the loose knot she had created and plummeted a few feet before hitting the ground. She was onboard now. Now...what... Her plan had been simple. Do what she could to destroy as much of this ship and the people within it as possible. She was still unsure of how to do that. Get rid of the enemies first... If they couldn't nullify her chakra then she could get rid of the ship.
Darting forward she pushed the small button on the bludgeons handle and allowed the small sword to spring out. Holding it defensively before her she prepared herself. Vengeance was on her mind and she was not going to stop until every piece of this ship was in pieces or she was dead.

Boom, fizzle, swish, the explosions rocked the ship. The first, hitting dead on, caved the copilot's personal space into the copilot, splattering him against his seat. As the ship recoiled, rocking to the side, the second smeared itself on the underside, absorbing into the ship. The underside glowing brightly blue for a moment as the chakra vanished, the thrusters received an off-putting amount of energy just as Jae landed on the inside, vaulting straight up into the clouds. When the ship settled, it was clear that both the third volley missed, and the second volley affected the vessel in a strange fashion.
Within the vessel, to Jae's left in the cargo hold, the civilian and his horse were well strapped to the hull, preventing them from being injured, but also from being able to move. To her left front, a stocky Caucasian man of Scottish descent stood when the ship settled, drawing two fanged knives from his rear holsters up into a defensive position. To Jae's immediate front, a tall luxurious man with curling brown hair, thin, slanted eyes, soft white skin, and a long, familiar tattoo down his right arm also stood. This ungratefully familiar looking male (to Jae, specifically) reached back and pulled out two identical tonfa, setting them also in a defensive stance. Moving on from this obvious leader type, Jae's right front held a struggling grunt of sizeable proportions, his girth well outside of normal standards. His inability to take off his seatbelt the normal way would leave him temporarily bound. Farther off to her right, the midget pilot struggled with the controls behind his closed cockpit door, visible via a glass porthole. From behind her, the outside's mysteriously cloaked figure's wire sailed by her right side, attaching itself in a good loop about the large, bound grunt's neck. Jae did not need to worry about him, as the neck popped several times from a slight jerking action on the taught weapon. Now slumped back, the whites rolled up as a foam dripped down from his mouth.
Sypher sighed as the ship rocketed into the clouds, his shunshin useless at this moment. Thankfully, there were broken buildings and trees to use Up, up and away. he thought dryly, taking a running start. He kicked off a fallen pillar, leaped to a roof that crumbled for a second while he touched down then he was off to a tree. From there, he went upwards, running along the trunk and using the branches to pull himself up. Hardly out of breath, Sypher burst up from the top of the tree to see the side of the ship a dozen feet away and a dozen up from his position. He leaned back in the branches, resting for a moment to judge how best to deal with this. He could let Jae handle them all...but was that fair? The girl was obviously broken in some way, he'd seen that from the start, and letting her go all out might be a mistake. He remained lounging in the tree, watching the boat from his position and waiting for any indication that he was needed.

Spotting the wispy accumulation of clouds hovering very close above the ships highest point, Jae only assumed that the stomach clamping pitch she had felt seconds prior had been the ship lurching higher up in position. Long way down now... She thought to herself, the hairs at the nape of her neck standing on end. Her gaze surveyed the scene around her making a note of where everyone was in regards to proximity with her. She was outnumbered, obviously, but that is not what caused her heart to suddenly drop into the depths of her stomach. Jae's icy gaze settled on the more collected individual of the bunch. The one who had a similar expression, figure, complexion, stance and above all else, weapon as the very person she was here to avenge.
Face growing whiter and whiter by the second, if that was even possible, Jae was frozen where she stood. Everything in her mind told her that this person standing before her was absurdly familiar to her, told her that it was Samuru. Not taking her eyes off of the man, Jae couldn't help but clutch her weapon more tightly, as if it was the only thing that was keeping her grounded. Her concentration was shot but she was still in a defensive posture. Instinct was hard to ignore and her instinct said to not believe what she was seeing. Her rational mind tried to tell her it was just a few similarities but the postures and gestures were too similar to not take into consideration. Maybe its Rakuin.... Jae considered, scrutinizing this person even more. It was not Rakuin. The expression was different.
Memories overcame her briefly, Jae recalling her final moments with Samuru before he had been burned to ash in front of her eyes. Not even the deceased member of the crew hanging from the ships fixings seemed to pull her from her stupor. There was no way he was alive. She had seen him die. Had been to a funeral for him, had mourned him for a year. Jae had finally started taking small steps forward and now....It was like taking a giant nose dive into a dark abyss.
Narrowing her gaze at the person who she was so fixated on she raised her lip slightly, a small growl escaping her lips. Making a few hand gestures she activated her chakra, moving in the same instance she had done so. Her body flickered out of focus before disappearing completely. Coming in low, she crossed the distance between her and the person who had rattled her to the core. Small sword out, she lashed out in a horizontal strike once she had appeared before the man who resembled Samuru so much.
Karu had lost sight of the ship as it lurched upwards into the sky. The owl considered following but spotted someone ascending the trees below him. Someone very, very familiar to him. Swooping down low, Karu headed for Sypher. He need to aid Jae and maybe getting Sypher on that ship was going to help her.

The tall, luxurious man was ready when Jae attacked, his armor glowing to sap and negate her movement's increase, but he did not appear to be wearing any such device. No, his image flickered at the sudden drain of the battery, regaining stability as the tonfa closest to Jae's strike moved down to intercept & divert her blade. The further tonfa swung around the faux Samuru's back, behind his head as he sucked his stomach in and arched his back as an additional preventative. The end of the further tonfa was now fully rotated around, attempting contact with Jae's potentially open side, as shavings spewed off from the closer one, to the metal grating below them. The move was more to cause her to stumble away from the cockpit, and into the attack range of the dual wielding, fanged dagger grunt. (closer to the cargo hold) Such reactionary, fluid movements on behalf of the curly haired man caused a chained pocket watch to tumble from a chest bound cavity, revealing Takumi's signature Illusionist's Bundle's recognizable insignia carved on the lid. Not aware yet that he had exposed an important item, the leader's attention remained on the ferocious woman in front of him.
At the open door, the cloaked figure poked his head down, the hood blasting back from a rush of wind to reveal a Black Fox mask. The figure was not too concerned with what was showing at that moment, but more so on Jae's personal survival. Two kunai attached to wire strings flew from his dark inner shroud, planting them fiercely into the grating in an 'X' pattern where the door should have been. The anchors secure, he swiveled his head to look down through a fortunate cloud break, to the large owl flying away. The ship was slowly descending now, as the pilot regained control, to just below the cloud line. Going too high would cause everyone to blackout--as this ship was not pressurized due to the open door--and the cockpit had lost its own personal pressure from the caved-in copilot's windshield. Suffice to say, heavy damage had been incurred!

Sypher straightened on his tree as he saw Karu flying towards him but his gaze rose to match that of a masked figure leaning over to watch the owl. Narrowing his gaze, his mouth turned in a grim line of dislike as Karu came closer "Gimme a lift. Quickly!" he shouted and moved, gaining momentum as he went to the last of the tree's height to do something a little stupid. As the tree top bent back, Sypher allowed it to reach a certain point and then he jumped, keeping his feet on the top as it recoiled, giving him a boost. He reached out as he went through the air, prepared to grab Karu's talons for a grab and drop on the ship.

It grated her skin to be so close to this person. Her eyes were narrowed, her orbs swimming as they reflected the pure malice she held inside of her. It was as if Samuru was fighting against her. His sharp chin, his pinched expression and his movements. There was an urge to flay him open and an urge to drop at his feet and whimper. Jae hated herself for feeling that way. Especially now that she had given up on ending her life in order to be with him again.
Putting her force into the pared weapons, her teeth clenched together with her strained effort. She almost didn't have time to react to his follow up with his second tonfa. Until that point she had been chasing him, going after him, now she pivoted slightly and brought up her other hand in a defensive gesture. The chain that was attached to the short sword came up across, horizontally to the tonfa. It was pulled tight, sagging slightly as it took the force of the tonfa. The muscles in her arms screamed in protest, Jae trying her hardest to keep up this parlay. Small beads of sweat accumulated on her brow, the pink haired bird sage looking completely ferral.
Shifting a majority of her weight to one leg, she kicked out at the person, aiming for his torso. She was by no means a taijutsu expert. Her kick was sloppy and without the discipline behind what would define a defined kick but it was meant to put distance between the two of them. Jae could only hope to have him withdraw and disengage from their grid lock.
Karu blanched at Sypher brazen movements. He dropped in quickly as Sypher launched himself into the sky, the owls sharp talons extended to meet with Sypher. From an outsiders perspective this looked nothing short of intimidating but this was a move made with confidence that the other party would know what to do. Catching Sypher, Karu hovered for a second before sagging. He began to beat his wings furiously, growing in size as he did so until he was able to support the larger frame and weight of Sypher. Jae practically weighed nothing now a days so it had been some time for Karu to put effort into supporting another being. "Youuuuu! Rash as always!" He said, his feathers ruffled. Gaining momentum Karu headed upward toward the now descending ship. He need to get assistance to Jae and who better than Sypher? A former fledgling of the flock. "Be wary Sypher. In a certain state she becomes reckless..." The bird advised, recalling how she had forced him back to the summons lands before. Passing the boat and hovering close enough over it, Karu released his grip on Sypher once he was certain that he could land safely on it. Karu did not want to remain too close to the ship and immediately beat the wind, soaring higher up to watch from a better vantage point.

If Sypher needed a hand to keep from falling off during the transition, the black fox masked figure extended a hand out towards him while on his perch on top of the flying vehicle. From the top of the vehicle, it'd be an easy swing down from using the door hinges, and the thrown wire-kunai supports locked into the door frame would be easily grasped from such a movement. Visible from the outside, the pilot was profusely sweating, trying to keep the slight winds from unbalancing the craft as he wiped the stinging fluids from his eyes. Without a copilot, he was stuck with all the work!
Inside the main cabin, Jae's reactionary advance clipped the illusory man's elbow, bending it in a slightly unnatural way. Pulling it close to his body in a moment of staggering flinch, until the sudden pain ceased soon, he took a few cautious steps back towards the cockpit. Raising his good right arm, he held the tonfa with the long end out towards the adversary. Most likely, attacks directed at him in this state would be parried. Out of the way now, the dual fang knife wielding grunt reached back with a swift motion, cutting an overhead tie loose. Sharp makibishi (three points down, one point up, see spoiler) fell, littering the grates before them. Secretly knocking on the cockpit door with his wincing elbow, the faux man told the pilot to enter a wobbly counter-clockwise spin. In the hold, the strapped rider and his war horse could do nothing but complain loudly as the sudden turn tumbled a few of the closest ground born spikes their way. What would it take to down these horrible enemies? Team work was easily in their favor, with all eyes trained on Jae.
Sypher ignored the scolding from Karu, well aware that he was still as reckless but he trusted the bird. Was that a bad thing? As they got closer to the ship, he tensed his body, prepared to drop to the deck "So can I, Karu. I'll keep her head on her shoulders." he replied under his breath, watching the masked figure for a sign of attack...and was surprised. As Karu released him, Sypher dropped easily, landing with feet spread to keep his balance, not bothering to take the offered hand just yet "..." for a moment, he just stared at the figure, eyes narrowed as he debated his options. Then, without a word, he breezed past the figure, his hand sweeping a slight gratitude like motion. As the makibishi rolled, Sypher pulled on his bloodline with a handsign and wood swept up and over his form, starting at his feet and covering him from head to toe "Jae." his tone was easy going, light even, but a growing collection of moisture behind his back was anything but. Sharpening and shaping into senbon well over a foot long, the collection massing almost 500 "Let's not do anything rash, gentlemen. Captain, right this boat immediately." As the makibishi rolled towards Jae, Sypher took the chance to use one other bloodline and a ring of spikes shot out of the wood. The makibishi collided with the wood spikes that separated both the enemy and the weapons from Jae and her from them. With a sharp slash of his hand, half of the needles separated to be held at just the right angle to, when released, obliterate the sails and rigging of the boat. The other half was aimed at the group facing Jae, floating over her head "Jae." his tone was sharper now, still easy going but with an underlying order. Hold your position. He didn't presume to outright order Jae to do anything. She was not his shinobi but..."Now, for a moment, let's make a truce and just talk. Why are you here?" he directed his question at the enemies, including the fox masked figure. Sypher was a relatively honorable man...if they didn't try to attack, he wouldn't take out their ship. It would only take one jutsu to blow this ship out of the air and take everything with it but that wasn't his goal.

The pilot nodded as they gained better control of the craft. Those still alive in the main cabin, namely the tonfa illusionist, the knives wielder, the horseman, and his horse all collectively sighed, surrendering to the Kage, Jae, and the mysterious man still clinging to the top of the craft.

Well pleased with this turn of events, Sypher let his wooden armor fall away and gave the captain a general set of directions, all while keeping a hand on Jae's elbow to ensure she didn't....fly off the handle.
