My sister is having her second son in August, and we've been doing a lot of planning and preparation for the baby shower, and etc.
I think all this baby stuff might be the reason, but for the past few weeks, I've been wanting to have children, like crazy..
I'm young, so I know I'm probably not ready yet, and plus, being in a relationship with the same sex, it would be hell difficult to have a child.
I've just felt these really maternal instincts lately, that make me want to have a child of my own, it's nuts.
Yeah... >,<

Good I guess, maybe someday you will have child (could always try to adopt of find a surrogate). I seem to have no maternal instinct. Everyone around me is getting married and having kids, but I can't really picture that for me.

Children are the biggest financial investment someone can make. As far as same-sex couples are concerned, it's a very hefty investment, unfortunately. So all in all, just make sure you're ready and when you're ready, you'll know c:

i feel your pain. all my friends are having babies accidently and im sitting here trying to have a baby and nothing. i hate this baby envy thing i have going right now xd i seem to have surrounded myself with very fertile people and i think they are sucking out all of my fertile-ness lol
would you want to adopt or have your own?
also age has nothing to do with being ready to have a baby. ive met people in highschool who made amazing parents right away and now that im older i know people who are horrible parents and only think of themselves. also alot of people are always going to tell you that you are too young to have a baby no matter what age you are.

I've never, ever wanted children. I don't have the patience. I think I would be an absolutely terrible parent.
That said, when I ended up becoming the guardian of a teenager, I found I have a lot more patience than I ever thought I did. razz Still. No babies for me. Ever.

A couple weeks ago, my friend had her baby, and when she came and visted, I was washed with maternal instincts, I eanted a baby of my own smile bou since I don't have a vajay jay its pretty hard to make that happen. I take child Development, and I'm surrounded by infants and todlers, and I get so envious. I mean I do get to work with them, (if that is the right thing to say) and I get so protective over them, I feel like that their my child, even if they arnt. So, when I finish HS, and college, I'm adopting or doing a surrogate. No questions asked. So, my advice, see what happens, and when ur sis. Has the baby, see if u still jhave ur maternal instincts, u just might be getting them from ur sister, you know? Sorry if that sounds weird.

You know both my cousins had children. One was 16 and the other was 19 at the time.
I visit them all the time and I especially love playing with the babies, but that said neither was really ready I don't feel. My aunt does a lot to help out my younger cousin, but the older has become independent with her boyfriend.
Basically, what I mean to say.... It's easy to heart them, but it's very hard to really raise them.
Hopefully when/if the people on here decide to go for children I hope it's after excessively careful consideration!
Ahaha... I'd make a terrible parent though myself.

I've been feeling the same way!!! But I'm only 16 so it's kinda weird I'm thinking about it now. I haven't really even told my boyfriend. I really only start to feel it when I see some of the families on my block. Like for instance, my neighbor just had a baby, and anytime I see them, I start thinking about baby names, what their room would look like, etc. I guess I just can't wait to grow up.

Honestly, every time I'm on the phone with my best friend and I hear him trying to get one of the girls to stop crying (he has two daughters, a toddler and an infant) I just think to myself how happy I am not to have kids.

My boyfriend and I are going to have a surrogate carry our child when we're ready. I believe that having a child can bring us closer together than we already are.
