~ Hey ~

So i thought we should have a thread where we all post what we're reading, and then when we've finished we can come back edit our post and say what we thought of it. Then Girls will be able to browse the forum and get recommendations of books to read.

example:

Im reading lord of the rings

edit: I really liked it because...

I'm reading "A Dance With Dragons: After the feast" 3nodding
I liked it obviously you had to have read all the others in the series first but its a fairly good book. Not quite as good as some of the others in the series, it kind of felt like the whole book was building to something which never happened. But i'm still really annoyed i can't start reading the next book straight away 4laugh

"The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Rober Louis Stevenson. it's actually surprisingly short, i got the copy from the Barnes and Nobel Classics section and over half the book is other short stories the author did so it's really a very quick read. only 78 pages in this copy but still very good!

I'm currently reading "The Black Stallion Returns," sequel, obviously, to "The Black Stallion."
I liked the first book so much (even though it's a children's book - but nothing wrong with those, right? ^^ ) that I decided to give the second one a chance. I like it so far, although I prefer the first book. Mostly, I missed the characters. After finishing a book, it almost makes you feel like you're saying goodbye to the characters...which is sad if you've become attached to them. XD

Ahh, I'm currently re-reading I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell
Again...
Wouldn't recommend it for immature/younger people, but it has a lot of crazy, hilarious moments in it.
Just what I need to get my mood up (:

I am currently reading Phoenix and Ashes whee
-Its a Mercedes Lackey book, who is a great author from what I have read of her's. It has some moments so far that mention some characters in another book of hers, but luckily I had already read it, but it would probably do me some good to research before hand redface .

I've been reading the casual vacancy by J.K Rowling the past couple of weeks

It was okay, it took a while to get into, it was worth a read but i've read better books like it.

About to start re-reading my old copy of Memoirs of a Geisha. Probably one of the only books I enjoy reading over and over.

Love that one. I got a tattered copy from the local library. heart
I think it's interesting because it's about the higherarcy of Giesha. I dont know if it's fictional or not but it's so interesting to know the life of a Giesha. I love history like that.
