Not sure where the proper place to ask this is...
Anyone here read Christian books for growth? Readers are Leaders after all!
What have you read you'd recommend? Why?
I recently finished Crazy Love by Francis Chan that I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone. Ripped this description from somewhere else. God is Love. Crazy, relentless all powerful love.
Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts — it's falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, as Francis describes it, you will never be the same.
Because when you're wildly in love with someone, it changes everything.
I found this book though-provoking, enlightening, and challenging. I personally think every Christian should read it.
I recently started The Heart of the Story by Randy Frazee as a devotional. I have heard bits of this before, and it made me want more. Seems to masterfully show God's hand at work in our lives as the author shows God's upper story plans in our lower story world.
I could list more, but I have no idea if books interest others here or not...
What say you?!
