Yep, SBURB is the major hot topic wherever you look in gaming. And you're one of the lucky ducks to get your hands on an early copy! And your guardian said those online contests were a waste of time. Yes, you're getting junk mail from thirty different sources, but you think it was well worth it. But however you got it, you've got SBURB and nothing can stop you from getting your game on. That's right, the only thing that could stop you from playing this game at this very moment would be a world-destroying apocalypse. But that's an incredibly silly idea that could never happen.

Every game does have its rules of course, and you suppose you ought to read them over before you begin playing. Or at least skim over it a tad. Most of these seem to apply to the online mode anyway which you don't think you'll be playing. Unless the game developers forced you to go online anyway even if you just wanted to play solo in which case that would be decidedly un-rad. Think of all the loot you'd have to share!

1. Please type properly, semi-lit, no godmodding, etc. Insert generic 'be a good, respectful rp-er here' rule.
2. Of course, because this is a Homestuck rp, about half of those generic rp rules about posting are getting tossed out the window. Rather than use third person, use second person ("You capchalogue the whatever for later use.") and all dialogue will be written via pesterchum ("screenname: hey, what's up?"). In pesterchum chat, you can type however you like. You can be as txt hapy or as l337 as you want.
3. The set up here is a little different from Homestuck in that you're not going into SBURB with your friends, online or otherwise. You won't know anyone until you're in the game. "But what about the server and client players?" you may ask. Well I'm changing SBURB a bit to accomodate this set up. Server and client are now one and the same. Moving right along.
4. No god modding, not even if you reach god tier. =P
5. Speaking of being too awesome, no Mary Sues and Gary Stus please. As cool as Dave is, even he has issues, alright?
6. This rp will be following a credo of 'the plot writes itself', so you have been warned. This also means that for the time being, only humans will be allowed until Alternia and the trolls actually come up. Then I'll make a new profile skeleton and trolls can be had to your heart's content. For now, humans only, so sorry to all you troll lovers out there. I know that feel, bro.
7. PM me all profiles 'Where doing it man. Where MAKING IT HAPPEN.' so I know you read the rules. JK. Title it 'PSYCHE!'
8. I'm the primo God Tier around these parts. The Hero of RPs. So what I say goes, and I'm allowed to change and add rules as I see fit.

That's the universal meaning of things being grayed out in video games. Perhaps it'll become available once you get far enough in the game or beat it once. You certainly hope it's not downloadable content. Your guardian would have a fit if you had to beg them to shell out more money just so you could play a non-human character in a game you'll only ever be playing by yourself.

(This is an excellent little troll creator on deviant art. The options are a tad limited, but still easier than futzing around with a blank slate in photoshop or something. Only reason might recommend you open your troll in an editing program would be if you want to draw the exact horns you want, or have an easier time drawing your caste symbol as it's rather difficult in the creator.)

Well this has been quite a day. This morning you woke up excited to play your new copy of SBURB, tooled around with things for a bit, and then a meteor came crashing down on top of your house. Thankfully you sharpened the pencil you somehow crafted from a weird red block of stuff on your lathe thingy and somehow got you and your house teleported into a strange realm that reminds you of Las Vegas. If Las Vegas had giant music notes floating in the air and was populated entirely by rather adorable snakes. Before doing anything else, you decide to throw a pester out to anyone else who might be out there.
