Lyra yawned, lounging in the shade of a palm tree by the beach. Just a short ways away was the city, a large boisterous place positively overflowing with the fear she needed to stay strong. It hadn't taken her long to find the city once she left her mother's home. One night her mother went out for a walk, when she returned, she had been carrying an egg. Needless to say, Lyra hadn't been too happy. She had helped raise the baby, a brother her mother named Daichi. When he became an adult, it was obvious he didn't like either of them and had parted. Lyra followed suit, leaving soon after.
Lyra had settled into the city a few days after, and managed to get everything she needed. At the moment, her home was bare, but it was clean and it was hers. All she had to do was find someone suitable to live there with. Kal, her treasured third eye, hovered nearby, watching for anyone who might meet the requirements.

After lounging for a few minutes, a flash of dark fur peeled past her towards the water. Snapping her fingers, Kal spun around to keep an eye on the meanki. Lyra closed her eyes and saw through Kal. Using his ability to see farther and better than she could, Lyra was able to keep a sharp eye on the female. She took in the dark fur, the striped tail, the spots on her hands and feet, even the bright green hair that reminded of her of her brother's tail. All in all, the meanki was quite pretty.
With a dark grin she decided she'd give the girl something to listen to while she floated. Keeping her eyes closed, she opened her mouth and began to sing a haunting melody. The sound filled the air, sending chills down the spines of any nearby fae. Lyra felt herself grow warm from the joy that flooded her with her song.
