hey girls! so i have been plauged with problem teeth for an excessive amount of time. because of them i have to brush my teeth 3 times a day with 3 toothpastes each time, two of which are prescribed by my dentist.
One of my problems that arent solved by these toothpastes is yellow teeth. it isnt noticable when i am not wearing bold lipstick but i love the color red on my lips. it suits me perfectly and matches my skin tone amazingly so i am always wearing it. meaning yellow is always seen.
I know about warm toned vs cool tones lipstick and how cool tones make your lips look yellower. i have two lipsticks, one which is warm (my favorite one, which i have 2 tubes of), and the cool one (which was a gift from a friend, and i never wear because it seems like an off-red, and it isnt as thick, creamy, or vibrant). I put each one on on seperate sides of my lips and the one i always wear definantly doesnt show as much yellow as the cool toned lip shade. i took it all off and then i saw vibrant yellow.
heres the thing, it absolutely HAS to be something i can make and use naturally at home. so no white strips/ storebought agents
I dont want to use anything that can harm my teeth, so no lemon, bleach, or hydrogen peroxide, or etc. i am willing to use minimal amounts of baking soda because i tried that once, and it worked, but it is an abraisive so i wont use a whole lot of it all the time.
I was told by my orthodontist that i could put a whitening gel/mush into my retainer and let it sit, so im hoping there is something that i could let sit in my retainer that wouldnt damage my retainer, or my teeth.
I have a little less than 3 weeks until my 16th birthday party where i will be wearing red lipstick because of the theme, and i really want to whiten my teeth before then. pictures and all, ya know?
So if any of you girls have any safe, gentle, but powerful home-remedy for yellow teeth, i would be so happy if you posted it!
Loves, hugs, kisses, and all things covered in sequins ~ Kaela2015

I actually use baking soda after I brush my teath to whiten them. It's the only thing I can this of. I usually just use it like toothpaste and brush that on before rinsing. It's gross, but thats what works for me. I hope you have a badass 16th birthday party!

Yea, it works over time, but also during that time it can damage your teeth and ruin enamel, so ill probably end up using it once every one to two weeks with a little bit mixed in with my paste so i can still get the effect without the damage smile Yea, super salty XD thanks biggrin

Your absolutly beautiful no matter what. And really, it's a bit creepy for someone to stare at your teath. Are their teath the model of perfection? NO. Then I guess it's time for them to shut up. If these people really cared then teath wouldn't bother them. I would get over it in 2 seconds flat. 1 Second to look. 1 second to stop caring.

If these people really cared then teath wouldn't bother them. I would get over it in 2 seconds flat. 1 Second to look. 1 second to stop caring. I know i am absolutely beautiful. i dont care what the heck anyone else thinks as long as they make that conclusion themselves. But it really isnt a minor detail. its a huge deal. When your enamel is gone, its gone. it wont come back and there is no way to get it back. your teeth become super sensitive, it becomes much harder to whiten, and is extremely more prone to cavities. i dont really call that a minor detail. and though it may be creepy for people to stare at someones smile, they will when enamel is gone and teeth are rotted and black to their core like my brothers teeth. Customers at his job have turned in complaint cards and they wrote positive things about him as a worker, and the only thing they wrote as a complaint was his teeth. He has been slighted of promotions, demoted from promoted positions, even fired. when looking for a job, he couldnt smile because every time he did the employer would miraculously and immediatly send him away because of his teeth. Im not doing this because anyone else wants me to, or because anyone else has commented, or stared. I want to take care of my teeth for myself. My treatment of my teeth now will stick with me until the day i die. I want to make sure my teeth stay safe as long as i have any power over it. ya know?.

Well, if your ortho says it's safe to use the whitening gel, maybe she also knows what non-commercial stuff will work for you. Just a question, does it absolutely have to be "all-natural"? Because most whitening gels are peroxide based....

This might sound weird but I take the inside of a banana and rub it in my teeth. I read that it is a wonderful source of minerals and vitamins. They do not have the abrasiveness that other natural whiteners have and best of all they are inexpensive. or I just use baking soda with a bit of lemon once a week
