I'm underweight as it is...but I suddenly lost my apetite and spent a week not eating

Now my stomache is bloated like a pregnant woman since I started eating more again.

However Im still underweight and right now I think I'm expericing some sort of panick attack, my breathing is short and my chest feels like it'll explode...I feel light headed....

Is there anything I can do? I need to eat more but I dont know how to get myself to do so....

Eating more certainly is a solution, but you also must remember to eat right :] Good eating habits facilitate a healthy diet and weight - I hope you're not binge eating for just one meal a day =x

As for looking bloated - your stomach naturally expands to hold food. Since you say you're underweight, your stomach is probably riiiiiiiight there next to your abdomen wall - which means that any little thing you eat will be more noticeable. Eating frequent smaller meals/snacks in the day instead of the traditional "3 meals a day" will help you avoid looking bloated if that really worries you.

As for shortness of breath/chest pain -this may be triggered since you haven't been eating the past week. If you don't give your body the right nutrition then it starts breaking down. Not only that, it'll start breaking down your own muscle to sustain itself - on that note, your heart is a muscle. Lightheadedness is a side effect of hunger/dehydration.

As for what you can do - have you talked to your doctor about seeking a nutritionist/dietitian? You may need some bloodwork done to check how malnourished you may be, then your primacy care physician can refer you to a specialist who can set up a diet that works for you.

I highly recommend seeking out your doctor, but if that isn't immediately available to you - I suggest taking supplement drinks and snacking on small frequent meals until you can. "Ensure" has some nice nutrient fruit drinks that'll help your body cope with what it's lacking, and your local grocery store has some milkshake-meal-things that are tasty.
