Have you ever said to your parents "IT'S MY ROOM!" whenever they told you to clean it up or not put anything like a poster up? Some parents will go through their kids things and stuff and clean up their room and even throw things away if they have to do it, do you ever think it is an invasion of privacy simply because it is your room?

I can see both sides, but for the most part if I was a parent and my kid yelled at me saying it was her room I would flip my lid! For starters your name is no where on it, second you are not paying for the light, you know the switch you move up and down and the room gets brighter?

You didn't pay for the bed, the TV, the dresser, half the clothes in the drawer and so on!

No the only thing you paid for was that cute top you just had to have! That new Mary J CD that everyone is listening to , that music box that looked so cute! And of course maybe some gifts from your friends.

Other then that you didn't pay for the major stuff!

I think parents have every right to go in their kids room. I mean in a way I guess I am saying the simple fact they are parents gives them every right yes. Why should that room be off limits simply because they have a kid? Oh your stuff is in there so parents need to stay out? Yeah no!

I personally would not just walk in my kids room simply because I am a parent but if I tell them to clean up their room or not to hang up a certain poster or whatever then dang it! Do / don't do it!

That's just me though on the matter. What are your thoughts?

I can understand your reasoning, but after a certain point you also have to repsect your child's privacy. The idea is that if parents want their kids to behave like adults they have to start treating them as such.

Then again, if you did your job right as a parent they should have already learned to clean up after themselves... cat_rofl
