I know a lot of men claim they "NEVER CRY", but really?
How true is that statement?

I see crying as natural as laughing.
I don't bawl like a b***h every time something unfortunate happens, but good movies will get the tears a flowin' (Up, anyone?).

My boyfriend claims he hasn't cried since he was twelve and that just sounds unhuman to me.

Thoughts, feelings?
What gets your water works going?

I think I might cry a lot. I think of it as normal and an excellent and healthy way to relieve stress. I will usually cry if I see something touching, as well.

I still cry a fair bit, and I'm almost 18. Don't know if that means anything...

Most embarrassing moment, looking back: I cried during Click. When he died near the end, I was crying. During an Adam Sandler movie. With Adam Sandler.

What the ******** is wrong with me?

I dunno if I'm qualified to answer this question.

When I say I cry, it's normally just wet eyes and feeling choked up. I am not really a cryer at all. Even when things move me.

My bf admitted to crying when he first got his new kitten (about a month and a half ago) and we were having a big fight once and he was tearing up then too.

it can be endearing.

boys who never cry seem weird to me.

@ Copper:
It's okay, I CRIED in the movie theater at the end of '50 First Dates' and all my friends laughed at me.
I was 14, but still.

@ Dave:
WHY NOT?

@ Arianah:
Still counts!

@ Nicole:
D'awww!
Right? I don't know if I trust robots...

BECAUSE
I think the last time I cried was when I nearly had a mental breakdown while I was in Children's Village.
That was when I was 14.
I think really my standards for crying are just too high after all of that.

My boyfriend's mother died when he was young, he says he spent most of his childhood crying. Any mention of mothers would set him off crying. Going to friend's houses would make him cry at home afterwards if their mothers were nice etc. He was known as a huge crier throughout primary school. But then he says he just kind of realised it was pointless, that he doesn't even remember his mother anymore, and stopped crying. And he says he hasn't cried from sadness since he was 10 because nothing as sad as his mother's passing has happened in his life.

I mean to me that seems really strange. Because I cry over the tiniest things. I cry at any slightly emotional part of a movie. I cry when I hear a beautiful piece of music. I cry for no reason half the time. It's not something I associate necessarily with deep intense sadness, just minor sadness.

Totally get my creys on at some things.

Especially if its about my family or I'm having my yearly break down.

Not too often (can't remember any time except a breakdown I had in the last two years), but sure I cry. Can be at anything. I used to be way quicker with it, some years past I could cry at any sad thing in any moderately sad movie, but now I just watch it and think "this would be sad if the cinematography wasn't as lacking".
Will always cry at the end of A Scanner Darkly, though. Movie and book.
