"Alright there this guy that likes me. But I don't like him back, but he's the sweetest dude you will ever meet. But I think of him more as a friend/brother. Boys have never really shown me this type of affection because I'm the clumsy girl with glasses. But I don't want to hurt his feelings and I still want him to be friends with me. And last time I tried to tell him in a simple sugar-coated manner, and I think he got the wrong idea with what I was saying. Please help me!

Been in the same situation. Ended up dating him because I didn't wanna hurt him neutral
Be BLUNT. Tell him plain and simple, you appreciate the affection but you don't reciprocate it. Tell him what you're afraid will happen, like losing him as a friend. Explain how much AS A FRIEND he means to you, how you see him like a brother.
Don't sugar-coat it.

^^^ That.
I, too, have been in the same situation. I told him that we were better off as friends, and we have been friends ever since. You have to be direct. Good luck! heart
