She wasn't going to have to search very long are very hard. Alexander had only just barely arrived inside the haunted house himself, ready and raring for another round of fighting with a hunter. He often felt like he couldn't do much, like he was useless at most things...but he could still do this. The hunters had done something to somebody who had been very important to him, and while said somebody might not want anything to do with him anymore welll....Alex was holding a grudge.
Oh, and he was totally blaming the hunters for everything messed up and shitty in his unlife. But could anybody really blame him?
The creaking of the floorboards behind him was what alerted him, and the zomboil turned around to face whatever, or whoever, it was with his upper lip curled back from his teeth and his pale, dead looking eyes locking on the hunter. He was blood stained, grimy, filthy. Like he hadn't bothered changing his clothes for weeks. Beat up, cut up, stitched back together...he was like a vision straight out of a horror film.
"Oh good, I don't even have to go looking for one of you, this time." His voice was rough and low, the words practically a growl as he gave in to his more primal nature.

As the arrow that the hunter ghoul sent towards the zomboil buried itself deep in his throat, his eyes widened, his mouth gaping as strangled and gurgling noises began to emit from within. His hands came up to clutch at his neck, the force of the blow having made him stagger backwards several steps. Many of the stitches around the front of his throat had been undone, cut through. The punctured area was emitting a foul smelling and rotting fluid like blood, only darker. The arrow was gone, but the damage was done.
Alex was highly sensitive about his neck. Flashbacks from his childhood raced through his mind at this highly inappropriate moment. He felt the begins of panic rising up in his chest. He would have swore, or perhaps whimpered, or made any sort of noise at all but it was as though he'd been rendered physically incapable of doing so. However, he could still think, and his thoughts, while jumbled, would have sounded something like this.

And then, because he was clearly panicked, the zombie went into a basic mode of fight or flight....which somehow ended up a combination of the two. He needed to get away, needed to get away from this ghoul who would try and take his head clean off at his neck. Alex didn't normally move very fast, but he did at this moment, moving towards the girl at a near run, one hand still clutched at his throat while he used the other to shove past her, hard, on his way towards the door and hopefully his exit.
