i hate it when this happens, but it's more along the lines of people assuming that i want to marry someone and all that- mainly because they'll start to talk about having children, and then it will dissolve into some awkward sex ed thing.
seriously.
this has happened at least three times.
but really, the whole "marry a nice boy" thing just gets on my nerves because a.) yes, i am panromantic, but really, i'm more romantically (and aesthetically) attracted to girls more than boys or people who are outside the gender binary. b.) despite the fact i do experience romantic attraction, i have no interest in dating. at all.
and then there's the whole dissolving into an awkward you're-not-the-health teacher-or-my-parents-why-are-you-doing-this "sex ed" discussion. which mainly revolves around the person to tell me to save myself for marriage or crap like that (this is around the time when i try not to crack up or blush crazily- often both). and really, that's the part that ticks me off more than anything- people assume everybody at some point want sex! that, and they have the nerve to go around and try to lecture people on how they should and shouldn't act sexually.
so basically, where i live those conversations are one of the most awkward and embarrassing things around.
