[1v1] The Day of Reckoning (Dannyin) [Fin]

Yin was training in the gym.  

[chiickadee]

Danny joined him.  

[ramenli]

"Greetings Miss Danny."  

[chiickadee]

Danny shoved Yin. "Hey. Hey Yin. Yin hey," she nudged, wicked smile on her face. "How come we never fight?"

This was totally going somewhere.  

[ramenli]

"I do not wish to fight with you," Yin said, a slight edge of distress to his voice as he tugged at the scarf around his neck, loosening it up a bit.

"We should always be friends."  

[chiickadee]

"NoooooOOOOOOoooOOOOooOOooo," Danny whined. "Of course we'll still be friends and stuff I mean like-"

She let out a frustrated sigh.

And then gave a mischievous grin.

"Even if I did .... this?" A shove to the mantis' frontside, right into a work bench, and then a giggle. Danny really had no concept of consequences, or how strong she was.

Still be friends? But fighting?

Did she mean...there was a sigh, and then there was a grin. Uh oh. Yin looked at her with slightly nervous apprehension, not expecting her hand to move, and actually push him.

He managed to stay on his feet but he stumbled backwards into a bench, hitting the back of his leg. His eyes widened slightly as he fully thought about it. "Is this a challenge Miss Danny?"

Danny noted that her job of pushing Yin over the workbench hadn't quite followed through. Well that wouldn't do.

She ran forward and pushed him over all the way, barreling into him with her shoulder. The fire demoness did a little roll over the bench so that she landed on her feet, perfectly safe from harm.

"I dunno, am I kicking your butt?" she said with a smarmy grin, standing over the mantis boil.

Danny was shoving him into the bench, causing him to land awkwardly. Painfully. He hissed a bit at the sudden feeling, but it also seemed to...awaken him somewhat. He got to his feet quickly. Sparring with Miss Danny...well, he had changed recently. A lot. And if she wanted to fight?

It was all in good fun.

He moved quickly, one step up onto the bench and then using his foot to push him off, snapping a kick at her as he jumped. It connected solidly and he landed in a crouch, ready for her next attack. "I believe I am the one kicking here," he commented dryly.

"That joke was dumb!" Danny hollered, lurching forward to tackle Yin off the bench.

What could you do, she was a bruteball player at heart.

Yin actually liked playing bruteball, but he was more of a quarterback than a lineman. Still, he was slightly hurt that Miss Danny did not enjoy his joke. And a bit more hurt because his wings were protesting the rough treatment. He had tried so very hard to make that all work out.

But Miss Danny, when push came to shove, was a rough and tumble ghoul. And he was not just going to go down without giving her a fair fight. He brought up his knee to jab her in the side as he freed himself from under her. "Did you have a better one?"

Danny sat down for a moment in the middle of their fight.

She really was trying to think of a better joke.

Yin could not help but wonder why Miss Danny was sitting down in the middle of a spar. Was the ghoul okay? It was unlike her to just...not be overly active he thought. Hm...how to make her snap out of it.

He crouched down next to her for a minute. "Um, Miss Danny? It is really okay if you do not have a better joke. My own was not that good you know." He stood up again and reached down to offer her a hand up.

Danny was still deep in thought when Yin's hand interrupted her. Oh that hand. Her hand had a sudden attraction to grabbing it. She couldn't resist the help up.

BUT SHE COULD PROVIDE HELP DOWN.

She took Yin's hand in a friendly way and then yanked him onto the floor, while also using the momentum to help herself up. So much for your friendship.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Wait. Yin knew that move. Yin had used that move. That move was not fair, not at all.

He got to his feet quickly, hands curling into fists, Fear welling up within him. Time to remind the ghoul that he had a bit of fire himself. He charged at her, wings fluttering to give him an extra boost of speed as his hands lashed out, faster than she could dodge, light blows but many of them. A few missed here in there in his haste, and he could not get his full power behind them, but it was certainly a powerful, relentless attack.

He was also starting to grin a bit, mouth full of razor sharp teeth. "This is fun Miss Danny, thank you for suggesting a spar."
